Same here. I feel so lucky, and yet each night as I lay in bed, I think: "another day down!" I think as it progresses, it will start to move more quickly. I have read that weeks 12-20 can bet be the longest with the lack of symptoms and movement.

The baby did not like the breakfast burrito I made this morning. I haven't felt sick in a couple weeks and now I'm afraid to move from the couch. Of course on this day Dh left work at the time he is normally home. Thank god for paw patrol.

aww renegadewhit you're a badass but I wish that nice teenager would have been able to help you sooner with that mattress! I moved a futon mattress by myself once when I WASN'T pregnant and it's a huge pain in the ass Glad you're moved in!

We drove to CA, maybe a 6 hour drive. Halfway there the tire pressure light came on. I hoped it was just low, but no. 90 min in the middle of nowhere getting new tire. I'm glad we were able to stop and safely get it it fixed but man it was a pain in the ass.

madameovary, UGH why do these things happen in the middle of nowhere?! We went on a road trip this summer and the muffler fell off in the middle of nowhere. Glad you're getting it fixed!

...is that funny yet or not? I used to be much more laid back before my son. It was nap time, too.

When I was young we drove from Texas to Disney in FL. My dad wanted to drive all night while kids slept so he was drinking tons of coffee. He started having heart palpitations and thought he was having a heart attack. He pulled over so my mom could drive to the hospital but SHE ran over an abandoned muffler and my dad was furious. He drove the rest of the way to the ER. Baton Rouge, I think. It turned out to be all the coffee.

Oh what a predicament!  Our muffler didn't completely fall off - it was dragging so we had to tie it up with some spare rope.  It's not necessarily funny but it does feel like some kind of road trip rite of passage now!

Also, has anyone here used Alva diapers? I really would like to go with something other than hand me down cloth for the new baby. They seem like a good deal but only if they actually work.

DH discovered Paw Patrol while we were staying with our friends whose son LOVES it. Pretty sure he's excited to have a kid so he can justify watching it himself.

I did prefolds and covers with DS. But, since this baby will be around more people I was thinking a poker style may be easier for the olds. Which, is stupid because both sets of our parents cloth diapered us.

Fun story.

SIL has a kid 7 months older than DS and gave me a bunch of sizes because I was "going to need them when I gave up cloth". I gave them all back when she started complaining about how much her and my brother spent of diapers.

Was that a dick move? Probably. Felt good though.

Wow- lots of cloth diaper people here. In theory, I like the idea, but cleaning them sounds really annoying, and kind of gross. I just found a delivery and pick up service though. I may look into it.
