Happy weekend! Off to swim laps then swim lesson with P. It's a gray day. Hoping it doesn't rain too much though so I can walk to the farmers market and run errands.
Taking the twins to try out a dance class this morning. DD1 has been asking to learn ballet and today is a free trial day. Then we have a block party with neighbors and we're going out to dinner tonight with my parents. I also have need to make brownies this morning for the block party.
Working now, I think we're going to s friend's later. I think auburn is playing today so they're having a gathering. I'll go for food and really hope M is in a better mood than lady night. If course he should be able to get two naps today which he needs right now.
Teething is causing pain and it think that's why he kept waking up last night and got up early this morning. Motrin to the rescue for us.
Between 11 and 3 w slept maybe 40 minutes. I tried bringing him into bed with me multiple times but he wouldn't settle, tried sleeping next to his crib, walking/bouncing him, nursed him sooo much but my supply is low because we don't nurse at night, we even slept on his floor for a bit. He finally passed out in his crib from 3-6 and then nursed down from 6-830 in bed with me. I am so exhausted. He usually wakes up at 6 so his schedule is all messed up. I'm going to need all the coffee today. Thankfully H is home so he can help with W.
Grocery shopping done, lunch done, 1st load of laundry in, cleaning, putting out fall decorations, Crock-Pot cooking meal for co worker. Then I need to make Swiss chicken and chili for the week.
(Coworker has like 6 kids, 2 biological 4 adopted. 2 of the adopted have sickle cell. His daughter suffers from depression and is manic and bipolar. She attempted suicide last week. My heart breaks for this man. The lest I can do is take care of dinner for them)
Insomnia sucks. I couldn't fall asleep until 2, woke up at 4 to pee and didn't fall back asleep until 7.
But we're getting ready and headed to my mom's house and then to my hair appt. I'm stopping by a LLR pop-up thing that a friend of mine is hosting after so that I can buy some of the toddler stuff for E.
Also, DH dressed E in her slytherin shirt for dinner last night & she's the cutest
@janetheconquerer, your co-worker's situation is rough. It's nice of you to take the time to offer kindness. I think your kindness helps to combat the stigma of mental illness. Thank you.
I think someone posted here awhile back about baking bacon in the oven? Do you just put it on a cookie sheet? Time and temp?
We're having a birthday brunch for DD1 tomorrow and I thought baking the bacon might be easier (cleaner and less smelly).
I do that. I put a sheet of foil on the baking sheet, even easier clean up. 425 for 10 - 15 minutes. I find that cook time varies greatly for bacon so check at 10 and 12 ...
Mine are similiar to this. I do about a square foot and 4-5 tags on each side. Fleece in one side and cotton on the other. W likes to cuddle them, tug and throw them, and just generally entertain himself while he goes to bed. He also sucks on them when teething or when needing to soothe himself. I usually tuck a new one into my shirt while we nurse so it can have our smell on it. There's all types of tutorials online/youtube and with a sewing machine they're super simple to make. By hand was another story and I'm going to have to do some touch up with the sewing machine once it's back up and running.
Oh those are great packmomma! I need to do this for Mira - she would love it!
My mom made them for all the grandkids. DD1 wasn't into them, but both my niece and DD2 can't sleep without it. My niece is 4 and started calling it her "happy" a few years ago so that's what we call them
