Morning! We're going to a fall festival today, then a toy store's birthday party. I took LO to our American girl store yesterday and h wants to take her there and see how much fun she has, so the plan is to head there, too!
Today is the last day of our trip, so we are visiting family and then begin the journey home tomorrow. B has been miserable and teething so I'm not looking forward to trying to keep her content during the flights.
Zero plans today! Church and a family dinner tomorrow. Currently watching my favorite episode of Mickey Mouse with O and drinking coffee. It's an hour long episode with a musical pirate island. My life is thrilling.

We're all up and about to head out. Today is my town's big celebration. LBB and I are running a 5k this morning, then we'll go to our favorite coffee shop and watch the parade before walking over to the park for the festivities.
This afternoon I have to go shopping, pick up my Halloween costume and the birthday cake, finish the favors and paint a ninjago sign.
We had a list of about 5 things we wanted to do this weekend, but they are all outside and it's pouring, so now we have nothing. A is napping even though he's only been up for a couple hours. That last molar is almost in!
I am baby and husband free today and really wanted to go to some outlet malls with a friend, but all my friends are busy today. I still might just go by myself. Have a great Saturday, ladies!

I vote you go anyway- I found some super cute things for good deals at our outlet mall yesterday!

It's pouring here too- I think its because Mother Nature knows I was having a good hair day:(
Add us to the fall festival club with a pumpkin patch and maze, horse drawn wagon rides and such. It was hard to choose which one to go to but we decided on a farm that's a distillery and by the river in a beautiful location. I've never actually been to this place before so looking forward to it! My ILs are in the city today so we're going to meet them out there, and then we'll go out for supper after.
Otherwise, I'll just be trying to keep my cold at bay so I can enjoy myself later. The weather is supposed to be GORGEOUS and according to the 2 week forecast I'm going to say it will be the last day like today this year, so glad we had already made fun outdoor plans to enjoy it!
Side note, it's my parent's 33rd anniversary today!
It's raining again, and DS is still cranky from his shots yesterday, so we're just having a lazy morning and being super thankful for the makers of children's Motrin. This afternoon is our nieces birthday party, so hopefully the combo of sugar and tons of kids/activity will keep him in better spirits!

Having a good hair day on a rainy day is the WORST!

I got home from work at a quarter after 2 this morning. To say it was a rough night would be an understatement.
Today I'm meeting up with someone who is buying some of J's old clothes, then headed back to work. Then a target run, since I've got that $10 coupon here still that expires today I believe.
Happy October everyone! Up early so I made pumpkin muffins and candied pecans. Working on a few projects for a baby shower that I'm throwing next weekend. When E wakes up we're headed to my brother's for a family get together. Tomorrow is supposed to be nice out, so we're planning a trip to the pumpkin farm. I love fall!

H wants to pick fights today. Good thing I need to leave in 10 minutes so I can go pay our rent and get to the post office and a couple other stops before going to work. He's pissy because I didn't inform him of my plans. Well, fine. I'll wake you up after I get home at 2:15 am and inform you then.
Busy day so far. Hardware store, grocery shopping, decorated the house a bit for fall, put chili in the crock pot for dinner and made my brothers birthday cake for his party at our house tomorrow.
DH is at work till 630 tonight and just trying to keep the natives happy while solo parenting today.
Tomorrow my family is coming over for my brother's birthday dinner.

I know this is a million hours late, but I had this exact thought today!

We had "Read to a Puppy" event at the library today and went with my sister, SIL and 2 of Js cousins. It was super cute and just enough to make the gloomy day fun.
On the potty talk.. we ordered one from amazon with a gift card from Js birthday because it was on sale, it was Mickey (her fav) and I figured we'd need it eventually so might as well. She loves the thing, it says "hip hip hooray" when you press the pretend flush, and it gives her somewhere to sit/ something to do whenever I need to be in the bathroom. But we're not potty training yet.. although this evening she made a poop face while in the tub so I pulled her out and sat her on it and she poo-ed in it.. and was super happy to flush it after lol. Sooo not potty training but we use it when/how its convenient, and she likes it.

I may get a potty for him, but I am NOT trying to potty train right now. If he acts interested and we get lucky a few times that's fine with me. I don't think H has any idea what actually goes into potty training. I found out this while convo was brought on by MIL telling H that he was potty trained at 15 months.....I highly doubt that.

Re: potty training. My (bio) dad told me that Jules should have been potty trained by 1. Tell me dad, how many children have you potty trained? Oh yeah, that's right, NON.

LOL @ potty trained by 1. Even potty trained by 2 is a huge stretch. Not saying impossible but in all my years teaching littles I've seen maybe 3 kids ever who were using the potty without being prompted before they turned 2. And even then, it wasn't always and they were all still needing diapers/pullups for sleep. I think there's a huge amount of confusion in the language people use around potty training.. like a one year old who pees when you plop them down on the potty is not what it means lol.
