moutonrouge , Gotcha! I'm sorry. Now I feel all insensitive!
No, no you're fine - I'd be nosy too I shouldn't have said upset, maybe like...we don't want to surprise them with it. I don't actually think they'll say they'd rather we didn't do that. And it is my dad's middle name, so there's more family history to it than just DH's uncle.
All I know STILL is if this baby is a boy his middle name will be Arthur after my dad who passed when I was 3. No idea what first name will go with it. And now I am going back on my girl name too. Why is this so hard!
I'm impressed with everyone who have names picked out. We decided no name discussion until after the AS. With DD pre-scan, we had her name right away, but no boy name. After an evening discussing boy names with no results and then not even needing one, we decided we would never discuss names again until we knew if we needed a boy or girl name. This isn't to say I've haven't been doing a lot of thinking on my own, just no discussion between the two of us.
We are team tell the sex, but not the name. I didn't want anyone's feedback on the name ahead of time, so we kept it a secret until DD was born. We'll do the same this time.
My mom is demanding we name the baby after her if it's a girl. Not exaggerating at all.
It's a big fuck no. I may have considered it if she was, IDK, NICER to me. Seriously every time I've seen her since getting pregnant is a line of "Don't eat that you'll get fat." Or "You sure are gaining a lot of weight you're only in the second trimester!".
I might have another girl name idea! Eva Magdalena. It's probably too much with our almost-always-mispronounced last name, but it's at the top of my list for now.
I have no idea if we will keep the name a secret or not... I'm thinking we will because we are so indecisive we might change it before the baby is born, ha!
We are definitely keeping names secret. My MIL is way to opinionated. I imagine she will tell us if she doesn't like the name even after the baby is born, but I won't care then.
Lynn. Not sure I like that NN either. I wish NN's weren't a thing. Grumble
Nicknames don't have to be a thing! My son has a multi (3) syllable name and we use his full name 99.9% of the time.
Fair. Clara doesn't have a nn. Well we call her Clara girl or CG sometimes but that's it. I was thinking more about other people. I would like to stop ones I hate.

Boy on my due date (March 30th) at 1:20pm. 5lbs 7oz.
While I would love to have a boy, I'm not sure I can buy having a full term baby who only weighs 5lbs 7oz considering DD was 7lbs 2oz at 2 1/2 weeks early.
