I love the name Vivian. I convinced DH to use it if we have a girl so I'm super happy about that.
I like Keith, Eric, and Aaron for a boy. DH hates all of those. I think we've compromised with James, which is a family name on both sides.
Middle names undecided. Since Vivian isn't a family name we should probably pick a girl middle name from that pool. But for a boy middle name the world's our oyster, if we can ever agree on anything.
PDQ. The two names on our list right now are *poof* Otherwise I like them both equally. But we're still open to other names and probably will be for awhile. It's early!
I can hardly wait to find out what we are having! H will talk names but we haven't landed on one, and I don't think we will until we know if we are having a boy or girl. There are so many good names but it's hard to think of one as "our name" if that makes sense?
I'm not a fan of really popular names. That's my holdout on Cora. The problem is I teach 400 K-2 students, so that rules out a lot of names. Also our last name is really popular.
I'm kind of crushing on the name Weston right now with Wes as a nickname, but I will probably change my mind about a million times. We have a last name that is also a first name and H always gets called by it as a first name when he travels/works with people internationally. As a result, he vetoes most first names that could be construed as a last name. Drives me nutso!

I've only thought a bit about nicknames. If we have a boy, the only nickname I like for James is Jamie. For Vivian, I think Viv or Vivi are pretty much it. SIL1 goes by a nickname that rhymes with Viv so that might get confusing.
All of my cousins and all of DHs family (other than SIL1) go by full names. We have a couple inside names (e.g., only family calls Sarah Sissy or Sister) and those I wouldn't mind.

This is so fun! I love hearing other people's taste in names.
Dh and I haven't really discussed names yet this pregnancy. I'm sure that will happen right after the a/s. I have a girl name that I've loved since at least high school and I'm pretty sure DH likes it too. I have absolutely no ideas if the baby is a boy.
My girl name is Lylah Ruth. DS is Landon. I've gone back and forth between wanting same letter names, but I just can't get Lylah out of my head!

So many good names up in here!!
Of course we're waiting until a/s to confirm girl but we've given it thoughts and I love Matilda nn Tilly, H is still warming up to it. Not sure about middle names but I like Eloise and Josephine.
No clue if it' is a boy. We can't agree on one haha I like Mateo. My DS is Lucas James, we had that name by the a/s and H was the one who suggested it so I was hoping to have something by this LOs a/s too.

So neither me my sister or my mom have middle names. Everyone in H family does so I feel I gotta give this kid one, kinda want to let him choose since it doesn't matter too much to me. My DS middle name is a family name so it was easy.
Baby names are one of my passions. I used to collect baby name books and just make lists of names. I didn't even want kids back then, I just liked names. (And also inventing characters for various stories #nerdlyfe)
We are team greening this shit and we don't share names in advance, so I am pretty useless here for now. We are still coming up with our boy and girl names anyway, lol. I may share my ideas as my pregnancy progresses, as I have a growing word document in my computer that is getting increasingly intimidating.
My H is on team pink right now, so he is letting me take the reins on the boy name front, and I am pretty stoked. He even said that my favorite boy name (that he vetoed for LO#1) wasn't so bad this time. Yassssssssssssssssssssssssssssss

Are you set on the unique spelling? I know about 5 Lilas. All are spelled Lila, except one Lyla. I imagine Lylah would get misspelled a lot.
I love everyone's names! I'll be honest, I'm reading with the hope that I'll be inspired. DH and I have a much harder time with boys names than girls. If this one had been a girl I think she would've been Victoria (nn Tori). I also love Cora and Eloise but DH vetoed them for different reasons. As of now our top 2 boy names are Michael and Landon. I tend to like more traditional names (i.e. Benjamin and William) but DH finds my boy names boring. Michael is a family name that will be the middle name if not the first. I don't find it thrilling but I do think it's a nice name. Landon is a name that DH and I both like a lot, it's just a little more popular/trendy than I usually like. I know Michael is popularish too though. Ugh. Any suggestions???

Yes, I'm pretty set on it. I have a fairly unique name and often have to spell it for people. It doesn't really bother me.

We are pretty set on Lexi for a girl. Not sure if we will just name her that or name her Alexis. Middle name will probably Marie (after mil) but I'm starting to think Michelle (my mn) sounds pretty good too. I also like the names Maci and Riley, but DH isn't fond of them.
Boy names are tricky for us. There are 10 grandsons and 4 brothers on dh's side. Plus it seems like his old fire dept has a lot of boys. All of the names used are our style... Carson, Eli, Lucas, cooper, Brody... So we are going to have a difficult time again. DS is Tucker so something needs to sound good with that. I want Daniel in the mix somehow after my dad(my dad passed away 6 years ago) and Dh (they have the same first name) preferably as a mn, but it can be first name if it sounds better. He just wouldn't go by it.
We are 99.9% sure baby girl will be Anastasia. H plans on calling her Stacy. Undecided on middle names, but choices include Marie, Nicole, Lee, Mae/May, Joy and Jane.
My name is Stacy! Spelt that way too which is pretty rare. I wanted to use Anastasia as a middle name but my husband didn't love it so we went with my middle name which is also a family name.
Claire Marie for us, and we're open about it so no going back! It's kinda nice to call her by her name vs "the baby"

I think Landon Michael would be a really solid name.

Funny because mine gets misspelled alot and it drives me nuts! Specifically when close family spell it wrong (both my godmother and godfather have done it to me in the past) or when a coworker sends me an email with it spelled wrong and my damn email address is my name correctly spelled. Pay attention people!!!!
