abvintage, do you cloth diaper? Getting yeast out of those is such a pita. Also, are you breastfeeding? Thrush is no joke. Guard yourself!
I've got an awful cold. I signed up to take a new mom a meal tonight. I'm thinking of canceling. I don't want to be the asshole that deserts her but also don't want to be the asshole who gets her sick.
abominationsnowman, can you have food delivered? After I had DD1 one of the people on my meal train was sick and had pizza delivered to us so the meal was still covered.

We don't cloth diaper but I am breastfeeding. I am worried about thrush and will have to research all the things to try and prevent it. We're doing probiotics for him this time so I'm hoping that helps!
Thanks guys, I'm being overly hard on myself. I think no matter how much I do I'm going to feel like I'm not doing enough until I have a new job. I made a to do list and got several things marked off, so that is helping me feel a bit better.

hope it's not too bad @janetheconquerer!
ampaints, aw I wish I could give you a hug. You will find something that will make you so much happier and it will all be ok I promise.
You guys. DH and I had crazy sex and now I have... uhhh... damage. LOL WTF do I do? Go to the dr? See if it gets better? How the fuck did I not notice this was happening during? I went to the bathroom after and I was bleeding. Still bleeding. I have no idea who to ask this ridiculous question too.

tuscanlatte, I bleed where my stitches were sometimes. When that blood mixes with other fluids, it can appear to be quite copious. While you are nursing, you have low estrogen, which makes you drier and more prone to injury. Fx your sex injury stops bleeding soon!
Hey all! I hope everyone in the path of the hurricane stays safe. Apparently we have declared a state of emergency here in NC. I'm used to tornados coming from OK....hurricanes, not so much. I guess I should stock up on some stuff.
Team 2dumbdogs on the tampon issue. Once when I was a teenager we had some plumbing issues and the plumber was talking to my dad. I overheard him tell my dad to talk to anyone in the house who might be flushing tampons, because that definitely could be the cause of the problem. My dad never did, lol, so good thing I heard it myself!

Vent ahead.
I can't take it anymore ladies. When friends of ours had their son I kept hearing (from mutual friends) how the mom was a little obsessed re: his nap schedule. Since we moved back to MI, I've been able to witness it firsthand. You absolutely can't ask her to do anything between 9-11 or 1-4 because it's her DS's naptime. The kid will be 2 in a few months. Maybe I'm just grouchy but come the fuck ON. I've known what, hundreds of moms through daycare, preschool, Mommy & Me, Kindermusik, storytime classes in DC, CT and MI and I've never met someone this crazy over her kid's nap schedule. A few of our mutual friends don't even bother trying to invite her to things anymore and I think I've reached that point. It's annoying AF.

tmclawchick, yikes. Maybe that works for her but I wouldn't bother inviting her to shit anymore either. I couldn't exist like that, but I'm definitely a "just nap in the stroller if you really need it" kind of parent.
I try to work around W's nap schedule but I'm not that strict about it. I just try to get him to nap in the car if possible. I can't imagine having 2 naps at almost two years old though. That would really hinder being a person out in the world.
ampaints H went in a little late this morning (about 2 hours) so we hung out with him in bed. He didn't get home until after midnight. today he's supposed to come home early though so I'm hoping we'll catch up then.
zonagirl, I didn't say it was easy to get up and go. That's the hard part. But once there and I get going it's great. It's dark out, the gym isn't crowded, I get to jam to MY music, I run and run and run and I get to watch the news (closed captioning). All this before my family is out of bed. I love it. And it really puts me in a good mood for the day!! I also get home in time to be there when the kids wake up, that's one of my most favorite times of the day...when they are sleepy, smiling and reaching out to me for morning cuddles.
