And my classmates tease me about my lunchbox because I always bring like a bijillion snacks to class.
My coworkers make fun of me because I literally eat all day. I start digging into my lunchbox around 9 am and I snack every hour or so. Even not pregnant. Whatever. I don't like to be hungry!!
I watched Gilmore Girls instead of the debate last night, too!
I'm rewatching the show. I'm on season 5
I fell off on season 3 or 4 of the original run and have never watched it all the way through. I forgot a LOT. I'm about 3/4 through season 2. I'm hoping to make it through all of it before the re-launch in November but I'm not optimistic I'll make it.

I'm so hungry. I already had 2 pieces of toast w/ peanut butter, a yogurt, baby carrots, and an apple. I'm eating my lunch at noon but I really want ANOTHER snack before then.
They catered in lunch for some visiting customers today and it smells amazing. Unfortunately, if there are any leftovers I will be at my doctor's appointment by the time they tell us we can have some so I'm going to miss it. Boo.

Oh you have to! Even if you are just "watching" while you do other things. It's one of those shows were you can do other things and still know what is going on.

My appointment yesterday went well. I had the 12 week NT scan and a consult with the mfm, plus blood work. The mfm said things are looking good so far and baby's heartbeat was perfect. I'm higher risk because of anti-depressants and hypothyroidism, so it's always nice to hear some reassurance.
I have my anatomy scan scheduled with them for Nov. 28th. Yay!
Midwife appt yesterday was good. She said she doubted that she could find the heartbeat, and I blurted out I had already found it on my own Doppler. Haha, they made me promise I'd put the Doppler away as soon as I could feel movement. But they were nice and I'm happy with my team, so that's a relief! Anatomy scan booked for Nov 21, so I'm looking forward to that but first the NT scan next week!
Weaning is not going as well today, think I jinxed myself yesterday!
The only food I've been loving is Ramen from a new place that just opened down the street. They were closed last night so that will be my dinner tonight!!
They're making me take the 1 hr glucose test TODAY early. This is dumb. And if I pass, I still have to take it again at 28 weeks.
But baby has a strong HB of 160 and the NP found it right away, so that's nice.
Sorry about the extra glucose test :-(. I took it three times last time. In late first tri, because of a family history of type 2. I failed the first test but my doctor was pretty sure it was a fluke. I didn't know they were going to do the glucose test, so I hadn't eaten in like 14 hours (planned to go out for bfast after appt). Your blood sugar actually goes up when you fast too long, and adrenaline increases blood sugar too (I'm terrified of blood tests). In early second tri I passed the 1 hour with flying colors (80 something I think), but I still had to take it again in third tri (passed again with a 90 something I think).

I haven't told my doctor I have a doppler. But I may have felt movement today (13+0). I'm skeptical, but it was right where I find the hb so it might be real.
Also good luck with the weaning! I'm kind of in a different place with it where I think it might be harder on me than her. Like, nursing hurts and tandem nursing sounds hard, but I'm irrationally sad that we might be giving up nursing in a couple months when milk will probably turn to colostrum.

I think you can feel movement at 13weeks! It's early, sure, but my midwife said second time moms feel it a lot sooner. She said I'd definitely feel it by 16 weeks. With my first I think I was at least 20, maybe even later.
I hear you about nursing. Ideally, I wanted to nurse until she was 2ish, but I'm scared how close that is to birth, and how dependent she still is on me to nap/go to bed. I'm really hoping to make small changes slowly because I know she will have a hard time when the baby comes. But there's a lot of mixed emotions! I get sad thinking about this relationship coming to an end, but I worry I will hate tandem nursing. There's so many more emotions attached to BFing than I was prepared for!
I think just take it day by day. Yesterday I thought we'd wean no problem. Today I'm thinking "tandem might not be so bad". It's such an easy way to keep them content for a bit. Lazy parenting win!!
rowe, why does the midwife want you to put the Doppler away?
Good luck weaning, ladies!
She mentioned that long term/consistent use hasn't been researched enough to know for sure that they are safe. Which I knew and I told her I only use it once/twice a week (which is true). I think they worry about women having them at home and freaking themselves out if they can't find the heartbeat, even though there can be many reasons. Or women using it a few times a day for long periods of time.
