Week/Team/Fruit: 28w4d/blue/coconut

Appointments this week: reg OB appointment, no u/s...boo!

Symptoms: hands and legs have started to swell.

Rants/Raves/Questions: I feel so unprepared! My to-do list seems to be getting bigger rather then smaller.

GTKY: It's October - any fall/Halloweek traditions that you are looking forward to? I just love decorating for fall but I realized this weekend I don't really have any. Maybe I'll do some shopping when it all goes on clearance but for now all our money goes to buying baby stuff.

Week/Team/Fruit: 32 weeks/B/G Twins/Hard Hats

Appointments this week: None

Symptoms: Lots of aches & pains, swelling. The usual.

Rants/Raves/Questions: Rave - we went to Babies R Us this weekend to do returns from the showers and use our 10% completion discount. Between returns, the completion discount, coupon matching from BBB, and a 15% discount to open a BRU credit card, we spent $22 out of pocket. It was amazing. And the girl who was helping us rocked. Yay for good customer service!

GTKY: It's October - any fall/Halloweek traditions that you are looking forward to?

I think next weekend we are going to get pumpkins and maybe carve them. I also like to give out candy and see the little kinds in their costumes. However the thought of getting up to answer the door this year sounds hard. LOL

Week/Team/Fruit: 20w3d, Belgian endive (WTF is that?)/Palmier, paper airplane (none of these are terribly specific)

Appointments this week: Nothing baby related.

Symptoms: Tired, insomnia, acid reflux, slightly achy back and belly and crotch if I'm upright too much, a bit of sciatica

Rants/Raves/Questions: Anyone have ideas how to prevent sciatica? I didn't have this last time.

GTKY: It's October - any fall/Halloweek traditions that you are looking forward to? Nothing set yet. Maybe we'll make traditions as the kids get old enough to participate (one year olds don't really get it). We're going to visit family the weekend before Halloween, so I think they have something planned and we'll tag along.

No advice on the sciatica, nomnom. The only way I found relief was sleeping with a body pillow and not making any sudden movements.

It's mostly when I walk or squat, so it's not really that bad. Just annoying and unnerving since my mom has major back (and other joint) problems.

requiressnacks I know, it's so crazy! I am so excited to meet the twinkies but at the same time I don't want them to come too early. I'll be happy if they keep cooking until Dec 1st. It seems so far away but yet so close at the same time.

It's starting to feel very close for me!  My personal goal is Nov. 14, which is 37 weeks. Although honestly, anything past 35 weeks would be amazing.  Time seems to be going faster now that we have the room set up, the gear is ready and we're all set for the babies!

Week/Team/Fruit: 8 weeks, raspberries
Appointments this week: none! I was discharged from the RE last week, and have my first OB appt next week. I'm calling the MFM today, but am almost positive I won't get an appointment without a referral from the OB. We'll see if they'll give me one before my appointment.
Symptoms: tired, but it looks like that won't get much better.

We're decorated for fall, and have to pull out the Halloween decorations today. The other tradition is sitting outside to hand out candy and drinking mulled wine, but I won't be partaking in that this year.

That is a fantastic date for a personal goal - that's my birthday! I'm so jealous of your shopping trip AND that you are so prepared for the babies. And I agree that anything past 35 weeks would be ideal.

Week/Team/Fruit: 11, green (for now), brussels sprouts (can't think of an equivalent fruit)

Appointments this week: Finally have my first appointments this week! I have two- one with my Ob that I had for DD1 who I love and one with a new Ob because DH really wants to deliver at the hospital closer to our new house vs. the hospital we delivered DD1 at. I have mixed feelings on this. Though I know it's the best move because our old hospital is north along a highway and during rush hour it'll be at least a half hour drive vs. a 12 minute one. But I'm really reluctant to let go of my Ob!

Symptoms: Getting better. Now I'm just hungry. All. The. Time. 

Rants/Raves/Questions: Rant- the twin bump is definitely real (to quote requiressnacks). Only 11 weeks and already in maternity clothes. Can't complain- So comfy! 

GTKY: It's October - any fall/Halloweek traditions that you are looking forward to? Now that DD1 is older we're going to start more tradition things. There are a ton of family friendly events in our new 'hood and I'm excited to go to them this year!

dream2be3- You're never going to be ready. Hahah is that helpful? Everything falls into place when it needs to you.

requiressnacks- I LOVE shopping trips like that. Makes me feel like it was all free. And I also love good customer service!! Ridiculously hard to come by these days. I hate when I get the "oh that coupon expired yesterday" and I KNOW they send out coupons every other damn day (i.e. Carter's) but they won't just give me the discount because I don't physically have a coupon with me. Maybe I'm unreasonable. But it annoys me.

nomnom I used to do hip exercises against the wall and that helped a little.

DVMmomma, I think it helped that we got there right when they opened, but this woman was seriously fantastic! So even though BRU is generally a rip-off (IMO, compared to Amazon), it was worth it to take advantage of some of their promotions.

And yes, the twin bump is REAL! Just wait until you're in your 3rd tri. It's so fun when people think you are "ready to go any day now!" Nope, just pregnant with twins. LOL

Congrats on graduating from the RE, river! I remember being so excited to be a "regular" pregnant person when I graduated.

DVMmomma - I truly am not ready! I have a total of 5 bottles, 6 receiving blankets, and 6 onsies...yikes! I have plenty of clothes but am truly lacking in the necessities department! Thankfully I do at least have the cribs and car sests.

requiressnacks, I'm impressed with your shopping skills. I have my final shower Saturday and plan on hitting up BRU on Sunday to do the same thing. I'm hoping to get most everything bought by then. I'm with you along the lines of anything past 35 weeks being good, but the longer these two cook the better for me.

Appointments this week: Lots of appointments this week! OB appointment Wednesday, Growth Scan on Thursday and our first class on Thursday. I'll be living at the hospital this week, lol

Symptoms: Hello cankles.

Rants/Raves/Questions:Super jealous of you that are getting everything set up. I feel like I'm behind the eight ball on this. Yesterday I started going through what we have and realize we are far from being ready.

GTKY: It's October - any fall/Halloweek traditions that you are looking forward to? Carving pumpkins. My hometown has a pumpkin festival, but sadly due to my travel restriction I won't be able to go this year. Hoping I can still get DH to carve pumpkins though.

Symptoms: none. I'm back to feeling not pregnant and I don't think my belly even looks big anymore. It's making me feel very anxious. But I have to wait until 11/9 to see that babies are ok :-(

RRQ: we got our cribs this weekend from MIL. I'm excited. The nursery is starting to look so so cute!

GTKY: not too many. H and I always go to an apple farm and buy a ton of apples and make applesauce and pies to enjoy all year.

Nope. It still makes me sad but whatever. I don't think they realize that I am dead serious about not having one after but I refuse to feel bad about potentially hurting their feelings.

Well I have a midwife appt on the 19th. So hopefully She can at least put my mind at ease with the Doppler. But no scan until 11/9!

I only get a quick U/S if they can't find one of the HBs on the doppler. Baby B is notorious for evading the doppler.
