I had my early a/s yesterday, it took forever because the tech could not get a cervical measurement because I was having contractions the whole time. She said it was normal but I am kind of worried to be having that many contractions already. Has anyone else had this?
I had my 2nd trimester u/s yesterday, got the results back today.
A Choroid Plexus Cyst was found, which is a soft marker for some trisomy disorders. But I also did the fetal protein/maternal blood tests at 12 weeks which showed a 1 in 10,000 risk for each of the trisomies. It was also the only soft marker found. Opting not to do amnio given that only one soft marker was found and blood work shows such low risk. Also kiddo 1 had the exact same thing found during his U/S and he's a healthy, active, bright, 4 year old now. OB says it's not unusual to see cysts now since the imagining is so much better than it used to be and agrees with my decision to skip amnio.
Otherwise, results were good, all other measurements are within normal parameters and OB says I'm on track for another boring pregnancy. So yay! Now I feel relieved and a bit more comfortable with the idea of telling people. Still not looking forward to the reactions of some, but oh well. Not much I can do there. Meanwhile, maybe I can start bonding with the baby-to-be now.

I had a ton of contractions at my 12 week u/s NT test. Tech said it was pretty normal. I think most women have them, and they are the way the uterus prepares for real labor later. You just don't actually feel them until later in the pregnancy. But if you are worried, it's always something you can bring up with your OB.
A/S was last week. Little man looked as perfect as he could. My MFM is worried about developing clots so I'll be going in for monthly growth scans in addition to my normal check ups. Little man is also very proud of his boyhood and kept trying to show it off 😂

A/S was this morning and everything looked great. Little boy was being stubborn and wanted to lay on his belly most of the time so they had a hard time getting a few measurements, especially when it came to his heart. But they could see the major stuff and there was nothing of concern. Next u/s will be a growth scan in 8 weeks and they check the few measurements they couldn't get this time.

That's good to know. You think by the third pregnancy I would have known this.

weird question, but had you gone to the bathroom right before the ultrasound?

No I hadn't. I really had to go during the scan and she wouldn't let me. Finally she had me take a break and let me go to the washroom. When I can back I was still contracting. I ended up having to have a trans vag u/s so she could get the cervix measurements.

oh I remember with DD getting the transfer vaginal u/s, she had me go to the bathroom right before we started and there were contractions from that and we had to wait to get a look at the cervix.
Glad to hear everyone's scans have gone pretty well so far! My anatomy scan was on Monday. Everything looked good and was measuring on track for GA. And we found out we are having another GIRL! My DH made the poor tech check 3 times because he was so convinced it was a boy. But I'm super excited everything went well and I'm excited for DD to have a sister!
Congratulations, smontz!!! I LOVE that reveal pic, adorable - you are precious!
Your DD will love having a baby sister! My DS1 loves his baby brother so much - and now they are both getting a baby brother!
Aw thanks! That's so sweet! So far people seem to be shocked that I'm excited about having another girl. But if I could have picked, I would have wanted a girl so my DD can have a sister! Plus the timing is almost exactly the same so we won't need much clothes wise. Congrats on your boys!
congrats smontz! I have to ask where you got that dress. it is adorrrrrrrrrable
my a/s is MONDAY. Anxiety is high y'all
Thanks!! I'm glad you asked because I'm obsessed with where I got it from! It's from Carissa Miss and they donate 100% of their proceeds to the national footsteps for fertility grant. So your money goes to a good cause, AND the dresses are super cute (and have POCKETS 😍)
Waiting for a/s now not so patiently. DH couldn't come because he is too sick to get out out of bed 😞. Means I have to wait to find out if we are blue or pink. I'm also going to see if I can get a bakery to ice some cookies for me on the way home. Sweet treat since I have to wait.

Good luck loubug!! Update us when you can!! Cute idea with the cake or cookies!! Sorry your H is sick.
Everything was good. Baby measured on track so this one might not be as big my other two. Fingers crossed.
Found a bakery to do my cookies and they are PINK! I thought for sure it was a boy but DD gets a sister 😄 Yay! DH felt good enough to eat a bite of one.
