DS was a mess all day saturday, lots of tears and yelling happened. For once I would love if he just listened to 1 thing i said. MH had some kind of stomach bug or food poisoning all weekend and literally groaned on the couch, i wanted to punch him in the face by the end. I get being sick sucks but dude stop groaning.
It's currently snowing sideways. Supposed to get 20cm by the end of the day
We had a quiet weekend. We had friends over Saturday night but otherwise just hung in and watched too much Mickey Mouse. It was pretty cold here. It snowed last night but turned to rain which pretty much melted everything.
DS was a terror this morning. He was in hysterics because we couldn't watch Mickey Mouse and was all-around uncooperative. He was fine once we got to DC though. I'm hoping it's just general toddler-ness and not that he's getting sick.
I have off Friday and Monday so I'm looking forward to the long weekend. DH also has off. We are getting some house repairs/maintenance done on Friday, but have nothing else planned.
The weekend was good. My dad's job had a Christmas party for the kids and we did some Christmas shopping. And the Giants won!!
This upcoming weekend will be more Christmas festivities and I will finish my shopping.
The baby turns 8 months today and she has apparently learned a new party trick...peeing on the toilet! DH sat her on there while the bath was filling last night and she peed. Big sister was cheering her on and hugging her. I reminded her that's not how this works. Lol.
lecky11, did you stay up to watch the whole Giants game last night? I watched the first half and was so frustrated with Eli and the offense that I went to bed. I was shocked when I heard they won this morning.
Weekend was ok. We had a nice trip to Costco on sat. Yesterday I picked up cold medicine, tissues, cough drops, and essentials for the week, but lazy day otherwise. H got my cold so neither of us were feeling great.
We have snow today. Dd's new boots are supposed to come sometime today. For now we're just taking it slow inside. DS has stunk at afternoon naps lately and ends up needing to be held, but if I can get him to sleep long enough in the crib maybe I'll try to snowblow. I still don't feel very good and now I think I'm having some unpleasant side effects from mucinex so definitely not feeling like wheeling that beast around, but it kind of needs to be done.
H is on the other coast for a couple days. He's taking a red eye Wednesday to be back for a meeting Thursday morning, then he'll probably be home in the afternoon, but exhausted. He'll take Friday off so maybe we'll do something Christmassy.
It snowed here this weekend, so SD and DD1 had fun in the snow. Eliza was napping so she didn't get to play. We were gone all weekend so they stayed with my SIL. So she needed a nap since she didn't really sleep all that much I'm sure. They all just had a slumber party in the living room so I'm sure it was 2 late nights and I know one day there were no naps.
This Monday is starting out ok. Had my review this morning and that went well. Not as well as I expected but I'll take it.
I'm trying to think of a gift for my Secret Santa. I know the gal more than most, but I've never been to her home to get her decorating style or an idea of what she could need. I don't like to but I might just stick with a gift card.

I did. Eli bugs the hell out of me too. The defense definitely kept them in the game. It shouldn't have even been that close.
I'm dragging today. Couldn't sleep last night because I am nervous about my project update with management tomorrow. I have a headache, upset stomach, and miss my babies. But I just have to get through this week and then I'm off until Jan 3rd.

If Eli hadn't of fumbled those two times, they probably would've scored. It was kinda the story of the season - defense keeps them in the game, offense does the bare minimum to barely win. I'm surprised they pulled it off against Dallas.
Saturday it snowed so I got MH up to shovel us out before my glucose test. Went for blood work then to my OB appointment. Clara heard the heart beat and said it was her brother! ❤️ I have one more month appointment before moving to every other week. After that we came home and hang out for little made Clara lunch and SIL watched her while MH and I went out for lunch and then to the store. We needed to get a sense for what was what on labels without the distraction of Clara running everywhere. It took us 3 hours. I had a good cry but feel a little better about it. We also cleared everything out of the house that needed to be gone. Sunday it was cold in the morning so we just hung out and after nap it warmed up a bit so we played out side! Clara ended up loving it! And we found some hot chocolate she can have so we came in and had that! This week we have our corporate holiday lunch. I am looking forward to that because they will tell us if we get the 23rd off and since I have that day off already I will be able to get the 22nd off which will be great for getting ready to fly home for Christmas on the 23rd!

Are you allowed to give alcohol? That was always popular for our office secret Santa, along with chocolate, hot chocolate, and candles.
comicSans, yes alcohol is allowed and is a very common gift. I've honestly never heard this co worker talk about drinking though so I'm not sure if she's into beer, wine, wine coolers, etc. I'll probably have to do some investigating.
We took a trip to Nashville this past weekend with the kids and my MIL. H was on crutches too so it was less than ideal but at least we did something. Best part for me was the free hotel reception from 5:30-7:30 which meant free alcohol and snacks.
I just drove to starbucks in a snow storm to get a sandwich for lunch. They were all out of paninis and didn't have any breakfast sandwiches without egg. grrrr... I had to go to the supermarket nextdoor to get something.
60's and low 70's here, perfect autumn weather. Friday I made ornaments with my Dad's side of the family. Saturday, we did WDW and left before the crazy crowds crushed us.
This week DH only works 3 days, then a small vacation for him. Thurs. we'll be touring our first choice preschool. It's cheap enough for DH, so score!

What about champagne? Even if she doesn't drink, it could be used for holiday entertaining.

Here's my secret santa go-tos: Alcohol Scented candle Gift card to the grocery store or liquor store movie passes fancy cookies
People are shoveling my driveway. I looked out earlier and they were taking care of older lady neighbor's driveway. Looked out just now to assess the plow pile and decide if I feel up to snow blowing, and there is no plow pile because they shoveled it away. They are also shoveling for the out of town neighbors. Not sure who they are, but that is unbelievably kind.

poof Our masterpiece of the morning: Leafy the snowman. He was short lived, though - fell over about two minutes later. The snow had already changed over to rain and rebuilding attempts failed. Oh well.
Weekend was ok though failed at getting snow tires on the car (Walmart, only place that does that open on Sunday, apparently had enough people in line first thing in the morning to occupy them all day). Gotta go try again after dd's nap.
Dh is away and I always get takeout when he is. I got yummy Sri Lankan food last night. . And watched some more episodes of the newsroom . So that was nice. Dd won't touch the Sri Lankan food but was thrilled because I got her bagels, so that made it easy. Bagel and cream cheese is an acceptable dinner, right? (Ffmc?)
We were busy. DH turned 30 and we went to dinner and did an escape room. And we went to Fantastic Beasts. Which was fairly underwhelming and I wasn't expecting much to begin with. Still enjoyable, just not on the realm of Harry Potter.
I did some crafting yesterday and finished the ornaments I was making for presents for friends and family. Still have to do the ones for the girls.
Oh and I still have a cold and feel not so great.
Today I'm planning on tackling the Chrismtas cards and finishing with the Christmas decorations. Tomorrow I get to pick up my mouthguard from the dentist and then I'm taking my dad shopping for my mom. I have to compile her list of things she talks about because the woman won't write anything down.
We relaxed on Saturday as a family. Yesterday I went to the Packer game with my dad. It snowed all day and the roads were terrible, so we didn't get home until 1am. It is supposed to be really cold this week, so I am trying to come up with some indoor activities to kill some time.

Please share your indoor ideas! I like to get dd outside, but it's hard with DS when it's so cold.

We just hung out at home all weekend. Dh is on nights right now, so he slept all day Sat and Sun and I didn't feel like taking both kids out in the cold by myself.
Dd1 had speech therapy this morning, then she and I ran to the store to pick up a couple of things to make ornaments for family later today. Dh stayed home with Dd2. Tomorrow we have an appointment tithe the girls' Dr to talk about Dd1 maybe having migraines and see if there is anything that he recommends to help prevent them.
And I'm still trying to get things don'e for Dd2's first birthday party on Saturday. I'm still in denial that she will be 1 next Wednesday.
oh and we have 2 house viewings today. Really hoping one of them works out, we really need to sell the house now so we can close by March
do you have a mudroom? Today's weather reminded me how much I want one. If you do, today is a good day to have showings! Otherwise, not so much, but good luck! I hope you get a buyer very soon!

we do but it's also the laundry room. DS and i usually go through the front door but that has an enclosed porch, so actually the house is pretty good for not getting snowy crap all over the floors. The second people rescheduled for friday due to weather, the first people loved it but have a house to sell, womp womp.
