Yes and no.
Well I have a dilemma. I tried on my suit pants last night and they are way too big. I like sagging crotch and everything too big. Now I'm faced with buying a pair of pants I will probably only fit in or about a month or mat. dress pants that I will be guaranteed to never need again if I buy them. I'm leaning towards just buying a smaller size and crossing my fingers that I can fit them in a few years.
vlagroupie I also agree. We might be doing a fun outing this afternoon. Just laying low this morning. One of DH's co-workers has the stomach bug and now he said this morning that he doesn't feel well. FX it's short lived with all of these house projects we're trying to finish up.
mrscatfarmer13, could you take your current pants to a tailor? Or is your interview too soon?
Personally, I'd probably buy maternity pants. If there will be more interviews after this one, it will be worth it to have something that you know will fit properly through the whole process, and at least you know you'll wear them for the next few months.
Nothing fun for me today. Half day at work, then I'll probably stick around and work some more until Bub's pediatrician appointment. It's a well visit, but he's been coughing like crazy and he told me his ear hurts yesterday (but not in a whiny/sick way, just a very matter of fact way and then went back to playing and seemed fine) so I'm glad we can get him checked out. This morning I told him the doctor is going to look in his ears and see if there's any monkeys in there, and he looked right at me and said completely serious "There IS a monkey in my ear! The doctor needs to get the monkeys out!"
Today I'm going to explore NY. Definitely going to Time Square not sure where else.
Anyone else doing anything fun today ?
Hi - do you need recs? I used to live in the city. Get out of Time Square and explore some neighborhoods. What do you want to do? Eat? Happy to give rec's that are away from the insanity that is Time Square. One suggestion: Head south to Union Square and check out the Holiday Market. There is also one in Grand Central Bryant Park. I have always liked Republic for Thai food in Union Square. It is affordable too. Let me know if you want other suggestions.

shellsbells only have today to explore after work. But need travel friendly locations. I'm liking the holiday market idea. How far is that from Midtown Manhattan?
Last night was Bub's DC Christmas program. We didn't have time to go home and come back, so we just went out to eat after I picked him up. Of course, in my rush to get out of the house yesterday morning, I didn't have an extra outfit for him. So we went to the program in the same marker-stained clothes that he had worn to school and EVERY OTHER KID was dressed up in adorable little holiday outfits. Parenting Fail.
At first I didn't think he was even going to perform. All the other kids were gathering together with the teachers, and he just clung to my leg, no matter how hard his teacher tried to get him to join. But then a few more of his little friends showed up, and he warmed up to the idea. The program was cute. His class was the youngest, so they had reindeer hats, and they came out on stage while the bigger kids sang Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. And then they sat in the front and shook bells while they sang Jingle Bells. I couldn't really see him, so I couldn't tell if he was singing or not. Most of the time he was turning around looking at the big kids.
After they sang (it lasted maybe 15 minutes) Santa was there, and we were the first people out the door so he had Santa all to himself for a minute. I was afraid he would be shy, but he marched right up and said "I want a Paw Patrol Bulldozer!" And then we tried to get a picture, but he kept saying it, and he was looking off to the side and pointing like he thought his bulldozer was in one of the wrapped packages sitting next to Santa for decoration.
I mean, the kid has at least 4 bulldozers of various sizes. But I guess we'll get one for his little Rubble character to drive around.

I have maternity dress pants if you want to swing by my house

I'm worried they'll be too long, even with heels. I have the shortest legs, my inseam is 26.

mominthemaking14 take the 4,5,6 subway train to union square from Grand Central. On the 4,5 it is an express with maybe one other stop. Shouldn't take too long 10 minutes depending how far you are. Also, there is an amazing DSW in Union Square too, which I would like to think was my doing. I emailed the company years ago telling them what a great location it was and a few months later they were opening... coincidence... maybe...

I got out last night for dinner with my church small group. I announced that I'm KU and we chatted about that for a while. I was able to hold down my meal (and I chose buffalo chicken, which I was worried would def. come back up), and felt shitty I didn't get gifts for anyone. Some of them provided gifts and I felt pretty bad that the thought didn't even cross my mind.

That wouldn't have crossed my mind either, honestly

I've been to that DSW! We were en route to meeting our friends to party bus to a wedding in Queens when I realized that stilettos + 7 months pregnant don't mix. I only got to pop in after we got off the subway and grab the cheapest pair of flats that I could find, but I was sad I couldn't stay and shop.
