eaglewife DS has solid poops on even one tbsp of puree. It's so weird. I kind of feel bad for him watching him adjust to passing them. I'm trying to keep foods in rotation, like peaches, to help make them softer.

Do the peaches help a lot pbandjelly? It's so awful watching them struggle. She finally passed a larger amount of solid poo (it was soft by adult standards but not like her usually squishy EBF poo) yesterday and cried the whole time. I know it's new and different and probably scarier than it is painful but it still seems like it hurts. I hate it.
I'm backing off on the cereals and sticking to pooping foods to try to get her back to easy going.
How are the babies doing with bowel movements on solids?
I would say she's going less than she was and has to work a bit harder. She also went from fairly watery BM poops to a more mushy texture. It doesn't seem to bother her, but I'm watching for foods that cause issues.

I don't know if it's helping. I'd like to think it is. But they say foods that start with a p should help. He doesn't seem to have trouble or be in pain when pooping, just more grunting again. Maybe it is helping a little.

We had a good 5 day gap between BMs, then she had a few sharty type diapers and yesterday and today she's had to work so hard and screamed through it. It's so difficult. I'm just not giving her any more grains until she gets back to a softer go. I'm glad it's not bothering little one over there.

Poor thing!! 5 days is a long time! Hope you're able to figure out which foods help her out.

I'm seeing the opposite. She used to go days between poops while EBF, but now she'll poop every day (sometimes more than once) with solids. I've only given her oatmeal, apples, sweet potatoes, and pears so far.
Yes, I believe yogurt is ok after 6 months. Old stuff says to wait until 8, but newer stuff disagrees. I think recommendation is for full fat and doesn't say much other than that on brand. Dannon is probably fine, I'd just check the sugar content.

We also have softer poops with solids. He used to grunt and push, bit has had an earier time with the solid food.
We get full fat yogurt. Some of the dannon or other kinds can be low fat or have artificial sweeteners, so look for those. I've gotten gerber, stonyfield, and Annie's now makes one as well.
I made the mistake of letting him taste B's yogurt last night. He screamed at me until I gave him another. They were super tiny tastes, in total he probably had about 5 spoonfuls. And then I thought ohhhh wait can he even eat this? He cried and stuck his lips out when it was gone. Pretty hilarious

Our pediatrician says to give the baby anything (anything!) aside from honey. I bought plain yogurt to mix with some fruits for her, but the yogurt was out of stock (wah). Otherwise, she would have already had it!

Baby boy continues to enjoy solid foods. FX but no reaction to PB. He was somewhat indifferent to mashed avocado. At first he made a face that made it clear he didn't like it but did not spit it out. He did take a sma taste with less of a face but no smile like he has done with squash and applesauce.
If your baby makes it clear they don't like a food, at what point do you stop offering it?

G is obsessed with peas. OBSESSED. When she sees them coming she screams at you if you don't give her the spoon quickly enough. LOL. I'm relieved because she was really not into the first couple foods we tried.

DS is obsessed with food now, freaks out and screams for it at dinner time. This afternoon when I was still at work, H said "I held out a bottle and a jar, and grabbed for the jar, so I gave him that!" I was like um no please don't do that. His nutrition needs to come from milk first, don't replace his milk time meal!
