I'm bored in the car. I drove the first half, and we have about 2 hours left. We left at 6 am which was nice because no traffic, but I wish we could have made it on the road before Bub woke up. He has been awake the whole time. He's been alternating between happily singing aongs, and furiously yelling that he wants to get out. Right now he's telling me there's a fish in his foot, and pointing to his ankle bone.
Went to Costco last night. Got my chocolate chunk cookies. I also grabbed a big bag of M&Ms to make trail mix for when I go back to work. Halfway through the store I realize Bub is eating something. It's M&Ms. There was a tiny hole in the bottom of the bag and he was poking his fingers in and getting one piece at a time. I really hope he's not the one who put the hole in the bag in the first place, or I would feel bad for not buying that one.

Sleep was crappy last night. M was in our bed, not sleeping from 2-4 last night and came in our room every hour to tell us something.
I made snowman face waffles for breakfast and just got back from getting my bloodwork done. Now to make cookies for Santa before we visit H's grandparents and go to church with my family.
H is ready to do CIO again with DD, but I'm not as committed. I know it we just do gentle CIO for a few days, the problem with be solved. But I'm so used to bringing her in and snuggling to sleep. BUT on the other hand I'm ready to get rid of the wiggly toddler waking me up several times a night and have her do that wiggling in her own crib.

I'm around.
I am seriously so, so over 1st tri. And clearly, being less than a week from 2nd tri is making no difference at all.
I have the clingiest toddler right now and al I want is to be left alone and not touched.
DH took my car to go work for a few hours. I need to go buy a few things to make apps and dessert for today and tomorrow and now I'm pretty sure I won't have time.
Going to attempt to make a pasta salad now with what I've got on hand, shower, wrap the gifts we have to hand out tonight. Just going to church then dinner at a friends house.
The kids slept great over here on the contrary to our new normal. But it must have been making up for Thursday night. Oy. We are going to church and having some people over after. I'm cooking lasagna and salad. Finally someone will see my Christmas tree besides me. Lol.

Lazy morning here. Doing last minute cleaning up then running some errands. All of H's family is coming over for dinner and opening presents-they have always done it on Xmas eve which is kinda weird to me.
Just hanging out here. I should be packing for the trip to my parents tomorrow, but I'm feeling lazy. Maybe we will have one of the super rare double boy naps today and I can be productive then. The chances of that are so slim though.

My family started opening presents on Christmas Eve once my brother and I were out of the Santa stage. It made it easier to go to church Christmas morning and then get everything ready to host the extended family for Christmas lunch. I loved it that way! Weird if you still have little kids though.
We made it. Bub went out to play with my dad so H and I get to relax a bit. They managed to build a pretty good snow man with the little bit of snow left here. But the gator doesn't do so well on the snow. My dad has to push him.
My mom already has stuff in the stocking. I said we should take it out bc Santa is supposed to stuff stockings. My H says Santa only brings presents. Am I crazy?
We've been here about an hour. Thought we were the first ones to arrive. Just found out, all 3 of my siblings are already here, they're just all still sleeping! WTF? I hope they don't plan in sleeping until 2pm tomorrow, because I'm not making my 2yo wait to open his presents from Santa.

Your H is crazy, of course Santa stuffs the stockings!

Stockings were from mom and Dad in our house. But now I don't put stuff in there until Xmas morning because I don't want to wrap it all and I don't want candy to melt if we light the fire.
We facetimed my inlaws tonight so they could see the boys open a few of the presents they sent. The little got a stuffed animal and a light up toy. The first one for the big was clothes, the second one was clothes, and the third one was underwear. Each time he screamed and threw it on the floor. My MIL seemed bothered. Seriously though. He's 2. WTF did you think was going to happen? He wants effing toys. She asked for suggestions and I created an Amazon wishlist. It included toys. No clothes. I can't make my kid love the fact you sent him clothes for Christmas.
It's so chaotic here. I'm never going to get this child to bed. And he gives zero shots about Santa coming, putting cookies out, nothing. He just wants to play with monster trucks and pet all the dogs.

Yeah with kids it's weird but we keep all the santa gifts aside for tomorrow. Grandma just goes crazy with presents and we do those on Xmas eve.

My kid finally went to sleep, no nap all day. I'm pretty sure tomorrow is a no nap day too. N got a scooter from grandma and was riding it all the house.
I have extra lasagna if anyone wants to come eat tonight.
Haha we had lasagne too and way too many leftovers. My mom has always done Italian for Xmas eve so I'm trying to keep that tradition alive when I host.
