I'm feeling pumped after my workout today with dh.
Now I'm cuddling E and kissing her face while she chows on goldfish.
When we picked up the kids from the gym daycare, DS had an m&m cookie. I asked him for a tiny tiny bite, and, without missing a beat, says "You know that is full of carbs, right?" ::judgmental look::

kfran84 B&N is part of our Sunday routine. Doug loves it. We each get a chance to drink a coffee alone and look at books while the other watches Doug. It is one of my favorite parts of the week

It's freezing here too. DH took E for a while so I could get some rest/down time. I thought about taking a nap, but that's not going to happen. I'm paranoid about not being by her (I posted in the group) so I think I'm going to try to catch up here a bit and then curl up with a good book, a cup of hot chocolate and attempt to turn my attention to something else. Church was cancelled today because the water pipes are all frozen. I think it was like -25 with the wind chill factored in.
We were supposed to go to WI today so DH could go to his Alton Brown show, but we didn't end up going because of everything. Obviously it's not a big deal, but I think when everything settles down, he's going to be bummed that he missed it.
wedding, I'm sorry C is sick. I hope he feels better soon.
It's not awful. I prefer corn bread or soda bread smothered with butter with mine, though.
We do tortilla chips or saltines crackers.
Chili is amazing because there are so many different options! Do you do cheese and sour cream in your bowl? That's my favorite way. DH does cheese, but no sour cream.

Cadence has a new word. "MY!" I tried to color with her and she yelled, "MY!" I tried to read her a book and again, "MY!" So, I guess everything is hers now.....
Probably a UO but I think Chili is disgusting! Growing up I didn't even want to be in the house when my dad made it because the smell made me sick to my stomach. I can be around it now, but still do t like it. In fact we went to a chili supper fund raiser recently. I didn't eat, but made my donation. Then made DH take me to subway on the way home.

lfigge, have you tried good chili, or just hamburger soup? A lot of people try to make chili, but it's super thin and has no kick to it. I call that hamburger soup, because that's what it is. To each their own, but I hope for your sake that you've been able to try some delicious chili.
Well a lot of it is probably in my head because I haven't tried any in a really long time. I just have such vivid memory of when I was a kid and the smell was horrible. My parents would make me eat at least 2 bites then I could make myself a PBJ sandwich instead. Lol.
So I propose that N13 each make their best Chili recipe and then come to MO and try to make a Chili lover out of me. I live in a tourist area and there is a National Park here. It is right in the middle of the US mostly so it would be a great spot to have a N13 meet up! **wink wink** (why does PB and Iphone not jive with the same emoji?)
That sounds like a plan. We'll have our own chili feed

snoopmommymom my il's don't drink either but I need wine to get through my visits. I hide it in my closet and drink it in coffee mugs. Desperate times call for desperate measures.
lfigge I grew up hating chili. It looked like dog food the way my grandpa made it. He was a pretty good cook but his chili sucked. Also the crap the called chili at school was the same- gross.
My DH makes amazing chili and when I finally tried it I was hooked.
