We are having a lazy day today. Gotta do some laundry though.
I'm going to make homemade cinnamon rolls to go with the chili that is in the crock pot. Tim doesn't understand chili and cinnamon rolls..... This can't just be a Kansas thing, is it??
Only thing I've ever had with chili is corn bread. Never heard of serving cinnamon rolls with it.
Also some of the other material I read said to talk about your day before it happens "we are going to get ready, then I am going to take you to daycare. I will have to go to work but you are going to have so much fun! When I am done with work, I will be back to pick you up and we will come home at the end of the day".
I've been doing this with my dude since forever and getting nowhere. He still doesn't let me leave his sight or put him down. I'm afraid we'll be back to nightmarish DC drop-offs Tuesday, since by then he will have been home with us for 6 days straight. Glad you're seeing progress quickly though.
wedding Sorry C isn't feeling well. Hope you have a safe drive.
ljgs1010 I hope E is starting to get over his stomach bug.
Those are really good pieces of advice, @mothereffer! Whenever DH and I leave E for some reason, we tell her that we have to go to work and that we love her and will be back really soon. We blow kisses now and she knows that it's something we do when we go bye-bye. I like the idea of going through the day with them before it starts. That's a really good idea. Whenever we get back, we say, Oh we missed you, but I bet you had so much fun with grandma! What did you guys do today?" She'll gab away in her jibberish and point to all of the toys and books. This only works though when we actually leave the house. If we leave the room, she still freaks out. I'm going to try the "stay there, I'll be right back" thing.
We all slept in until nine. I have so much energy now! Also, yesterday I noticed I had no craving for coffee after my lemon honey water (which is said to be an effect) and that's crazy because I looove my coffee.
Last night DH came home with flowers, chocolate covered strawberries and a new pair of nikes for me! Guise, it was such a thoughtful gift. I've been working so hard the past couple months to get back into shape and he totally showed me that he's noticing. I love that man.
Annnd here's my weather report for the week.
Tell me more about this lemon honey water. Do you drink it warm or hot? How much honey and lemon do you put in?
