akraus2015 the non alcoholic Fre wine is pretty gross IME. With DS I had 4 oz of wine after first tri maybe 4-5 times. My husband was always on board with it and my son is now 3 and just perfect. I haven't had any yet this pregnancy (almost 17 weeks) but most likely will further along if I'm dying for it. A few tiny glasses of wine aren't a huge deal in my opinion.
Haha great, I just paid $18 for a bottle of it!! Oh well, if it's terrible I know not to buy it again. I literally have a whole case of wine in my basement that was delivered a few days before I found out I was pregnant. We gave a few bottles away at Christmas but there is a ton left.
akraus2015 I'm sorry! It's just not wine. That's all. If your craving wine and get juice it's a disappointment. Perhaps now you'll expect the worst and be pleasantly surprised. I feel your pain-ciders were buy one get one free the week before I got my BFP so of course I bought 4 six packs. We still have 2 aging for June. Lol!
Here's a Sunday Funday question...do any of you allow yourselves a glass of wine here and there? If so, when did you feel comfortable with it? And what constitutes a glass...4oz? 6? 8? I'll be 13 weeks tomorrow and I'm kind of starting to miss wine. In the bathtub. With a good book.
I do not. I love wine and we lived in the heart of wine country last time I was pregnant. But I'm in the camp of there is no safe amount of alcohol. If something ever happened I would never forgive myself, so I can live for nine months.

I have not had any alcohol while pregnant but that's because I honestly don't miss it that much. Though now cider sounds really good. I wanted a drink at the one holiday dinner I attended this year but I couldn't have it because of the diabetes.
FFSC: what I do miss is Mary Jane & I'm an extremely casual user. But I refuse to use it while pregnant or BFing. Just too many unknowns about how much transfers and what the effects are
We got out of the house early to run errands then rewarded ourselves with brunch. Christmas ornaments are catalogued and put away and I am making dumplings. I've got a pile of papers to go through and file away (ugh) but at least the fire is roaring and I might have a s'more later.
I will not be drinking during my pregnancy and breastfeeding. I also gave up coffee.... with my dd I didn't have wine or caffeine from when I got pregnant to her being 15 months. I don't know if I will be able to go that long with twins
There's a lot of research and information regarding breastfeeding and alcohol as well as caffeine consumption. There's plenty of evidence backing moderate alcohol use while nursing. Of course it's a personal decision and TETO.
Just throwing it out there for anyone who may be on the fence about nursing and is feeling like it's more restrictions on their body after pregnancy... You can still have a glass of wine or two and BF your kids if you choose to do so.

My caffeine intake is soda. For some reason I crave it like crazy. I rarely drink caffeine or soda when I'm not pregnant so I don't know where my cravings are from.
I recently ran out of decaf and I got 6 bags of my favorite coffee for Christmas, so now that I'm nearing 2nd tri I've switched back to one cup a day of regular coffee. If I skip my morning coffee I may have an iced tea or occasionally Pepsi with dinner.
I will never cut out coffee. It runs through my veins.
That said, I have the hardest time drinking it during first tri. Did last time and I'm having the struggle again now. I can't explain it because it doesn't affect my nausea or nlanything. I just cannot seem to get it down which both hurts my feelings, gives me slamming headaches, and makes the exhaustion so much worse. I wish I could get it in an IV. That might solve my problem, lol.
Also, I totally pick up drinking again once baby is born. I will throw one back with a newborn on me for sure. But I am 100% no alcohol while knocked up. TETO for sure.
I just want the packers to lose. Is that so much to ask?
Ditto... I'm in no mood for this fuckery
The profanities I was spewing out last night watching the Lions lose would've made a sailor blush. Pregnancy rage + football playoffs is a scary combo. 😆
I feel so overwhelmed with all the papers I have to sort through and file away. I suppose I should do it more regularly than like once a year but it's the worst.

The rage going on in here right now... I waiting for the Police to show up
So my MIL likened the fact that she can't see us at her beck and call to being like a custody battle. Alrighty then...
This came up because she's pissed we won't drive 2+ hours to meet her half way for her to give DS his birthday gifts (as we legit have plans the next two weekends) when she was just here 3 weeks ago!!
