Happy birthday melody330!! Glad your boys gave you a good night!
We had an okay night... DD was up 2 and a half times. The half is because I put her back down too early after the first wake up, but DH was able to go in and calm her back down. I will take that ANY day over the awful night we had Saturday night. (She basically didn't go down until after 1am.. absolutely no idea why.)

melody330 Happy Birthday! The last two nights ds has been up mutiple times like 4-5. And his sister has been in on the night waking party...she is currently scared of being alone in her big bed. Hoping for better sleep tonight. It seems like if i miss the 6:30 to 7 window for bedtime or if he gets woken up by evening house noise (aka toddler bed time) DS wakes up constantly thoughout the night. If i do get it right and the toddler is quiet he will sleep awesome only waking once through the night. I hope the odds are in my favor tonight.
Happy birthday melody330!!!! Glad it is starting off right! After her last wake up at 2, she went down at 2:30 but I didn't go back to sleep until after 3:30. All the coffee for me this morning.

melody330 Happy birthday! Glad your day is starting off well!
The last 3 nights have been horrible over here. She's a crank during the day too so idk if it's teeth or a growth spurt or what. I'm so sick of being tired and cranky. I've been up since 430, ready for the day to be over.
I wish I could say the same for tonight. B has been up every 2.5 hours, and not really wanting to nurse. Ugh. Less than two hours until I have to get ready for work. I'll need all the coffee.
I am up for the eleventymillionth time to put the paci back in. My cats are yowling and knocking shit off counters. I think it has been at least three weeks since I had more than 3 consecutive hours of sleep. I don't think it's even worth trying to go back to sleep because I have to be up in an hour and the odds of A staying asleep are slim.
Last night was terrible. And DH was having nightmares so he just got up for the day at 3:30. I didn't realize he got up so I continued to get up with Flint.
The bonus is DH had baked beans, scalloped potatoes, sausage and quiche on the table for me at 6.

Mal nursed 7 times that I can remember overnight between 9 and 6. Dude. Duuuuude. DH called him a bad baby (totally lighthearted) as he was leaving for work.
He's nursing now. All night long just a whiny hungry cry. If he doesn't grow an inch or get 5 teeth today, I'll be surprised.
I haven't been here in awhile but hoping to jump back in! Happy belated birthday melody330!
Since G turned 4 months he has been a crap sleeper. I am attributing it to the 4 month sleep regression (among other things) but I can NOT get it back on track. Seems like the Merlin's Magic Sleepsuit has lost it's magic. I'm not sure if it's too small and I should try a size larger or just try to get him to sleep a different way. Any thoughts? I know some of you ditched it and others sized up. His hands still seem to wake him up. Before this, we were at one wake-up, now we're at a thousand.
roccobabyk, I am no help, we are still cramming A into her undersized merlin suit. I keep hoping she will start sleeping better and we can sleep without it and I dont want to spend $40 on a new one if that is the case. She looks a little silly in it but we make it work We tried a sleep sack last week and it was an epic failure.

acorn99, we are taking the plunge next week and trying a zipadeezip because the sleep sack was a fail for us too. I found a FB group of gently used ones for half the price of new. If interested, I will share page with you!!

Good luck, I hope it works! I dont know if those would work for us because of how they limit the hands. In the MMSS, she can get her hands close enough to her face to make her happy while still keeping her snugged up. But I may keep it in mind for the future
+1 for continuing to stuff baby in the Merlin suit. When it gets too small, I might cut out the crotch portion in hopes of stuffing her in a little longer. I've looked at the local resale shops and BST pages hoping to find the bigger size, but no luck. I just know if I spend $40 on a new one, she'll roll over in it or something.
We're still stuffing Sam into his Merlin and it's getting very tight, but he can't sleep without it. Last time we tried he immediately flipped onto his stomach and refused to flip back and screamed angrily until we turned him back over I'm considering buying the next size up.
Unrelated, but after almost 3 months of waking up 3-4 times a night he finally slept through the night!!
I want to thank Sam for letting me have a solid chunk of sleep for the first time in forever, my husband, our cat for the MOTN support, the academy....

Once babies can flip to their stomachs on their own, it's fine for them to sleep there. My pediatrician assured me it's fine as long as we put them down on their backs. I have never used a sleep suit so I'm not sure if that is safe for belly sleeping but if you're trying to flip a baby who rolls on his own back, you don't have to.

I would love to leave Sam on his stomach and have him sleep that way but he HATES being on his stomach haha. The worst part is he knows how to roll back but just refuses to, so he just lays there screaming until one of us flips him back over. I'm hoping soon he'll either start enjoying it more or stop rolling onto his stomach so that we don't have to buy the next size up.

Oh thank goodness. I have been worried since he started sleeping on his tummy.

Confession time! Ever since she started flipping to her stomach on her own and sleeping better I have started putting her down on her stomach versus back....
I still get nervous because she loves to just shove her face into the mattress and sleep that way. Le sigh.

roccobabyk, Just sharing our MM experience. About 2 weeks ago, we got rid of it. It was not doing any magic anymore, and I felt like he was getting annoyed being so restricted while sleeping. We had tried a sleep sack a couple months ago which was a disaster but figured we'd try again. So we've been using a sleep sack for about 2 weeks. I put him down awake now (also a big change), and he immediately flips to his stomach, screams for a few minutes, but sleep much much better. There is still room for improvement, but things are moving in the right direction. Getting out of the MM Suit helped a ton.

The Merlin suit specifically says that you have to stop using it once they can roll while wearing it
rungirlrun you're giving me hope that maybe we won't need the next size of the MM suit. Maybe I'll try just letting him cry for a few minutes on his belly to see if he either calms himself down or flips back over on his own.

Guilty. At 7 pm, I put him on his back. 3 am? I'm not risking a wake up. I know his neck is strong. Plus he is literally next to me in a side car crib.
