Thanks @orangcrush! We just dropped DS off at daycare. He cried. I cried. He was calling for me as we left. It was awful. Dh drove me back 5 minutes later and I snuck in to see that he was playing with his friends and totally over it. I feel much better now. I am also dying of thirst. Ugh.
I feel like the receptionist gave me a little sass about bringing in a real insurance card next time. Lady I know! But I'm not the one that fudged everything up. Plus the number on the temporary emailed one i printed out for you isn't going to change once I have a real card. Yikes. Give a 37 week pregnant gal a break!
Good morning! I finally slept some after I posted and ran last night. On the couch for an hour, in bed an hr at a time for like 5 or so. Doing our car seat checks in a bit at the police station down the street.
Good luck today heybulldog56! I'm glad your DS calmed down and eased your mind some.
carrots, congrats on making it to due date! Any time now LO, any time you please!
lakegirl, I'd give her the sass right back. Come on now. Also, I'd like at least the knowledge of a cervical check I think, but my MWs don't do them, because we all know they really don't mean much. To me it would mean this cramping and pressure I feel was at least productive though.
lakegirl I'm dying for my cervix check this afternoon. I need some news that things are at least moving in the right direction! I hate them but at the end, so necessary for my mental state.
+1 they said it was up to me and the doctor seemed surprised I said yes but I have a potential of 18 days to continue feeling ginormous. I needed to know about that 1cm even if it doesn't mean anything is imminent!
pibblemom I did mention that having the temporary card was better than the emergency 800 number they gave me in case I went into labor before the cards arrived. So at least I got a little zinger in.

My OB practice doesn't do any cervical checks. I find it odd, but fine by me because this time around I'm not having a vaginal birth anyway.
Sitting at the high risk dr for an ultrasound and the wait is over an hour. I don't understand this place. Last time, my husband tried to come straight from the airport and they took me 15 min early and he missed the entire thing.

heybulldog56, Good luck today! So excited for you!
lakegirl, Yay for progress! It's always nice to know something is happening when we feel miserable.
My back is making me miserable. I need a massage. Pretty over listening to whatever show DS1 is watching but at least he's being quiet and calm. W is currently napping after giving H hell lol I don't know why that incident makes me giggle but it does.
H has disappeared...I think he went to bed. Hm. He should be tired. Who chooses to stay up just to play video games when they gave a newborn and could be sleeping?
I am so freaking ready to have this baby. My lower back is KILLING me. I've been having contractions start and stop for 2 weeks now. I'm done being pregnant.
But I'm also having a huge influx of feels about DD1 not being an only child anymore. And I think she is sensing something too. She was up 3 times last night calling out for me. Nothing wrong with her, just wanting hugs and snuggles from me.
I have a OB appt today. I also need to try and get in touch with a realtor and start filling out our mortgage pre-approval application. Oh, and bounce/roll/rock on my labor ball and try and get this show on the road.
1.5 days left at work. I'm so tired. And they got our programs up and running, so I'm trying to start something before I go on leave. I wish I had my own office, so I could lock the door and take a 15 minute nap. And my supervisor is driving me crazy. She is brand new to the career field and needs training, but also needs hand holding at the same time. I don't have the patience for it right now.
Car seat check went well. We stayed and BSed with the cop for a bit after (we know all but 2 of the locals pretty well. God bless small towns). We talked about the possibility of being snowed in, and he was talking about how most of them have delivered at least 1. I said the last thing I need is you guys all up in my business and then have to see you around.
I tried to get some work done at home, but I'm tired and crampy. Still feels like really annoying period cramps. If this lasts for the next 3-5 weeks I'm going to be a very unhappy camper. I think I'll be taking a nap instead of doing anything productive.
silvermelody, fx your kid feels better and NO VIRUS. Please be a 1 time thing.

So far just the one puke but he's been a little off for the past few days, yesterday he only ate half his lunch and half his dinner. We'll stick to BRAT diet today and see what happens. He's currently happy watching Stinky & Dirty on the couch next to me.
But it's Anything Can Happen Thursday! Good luck to all of you!
One can hope! I have two theories with this one. She's either going to show up Saturday to steal my thunder because it's my birthday or make me wait till the 30th. I just feel like she's a firecracker and moves/feels much different than her brother already!
Sidebar: if anyone has a baby on Saturday they'll be extra awesome!
I decided to take ds to the park that is 1.5 miles round trip instead of .6 because the closer one is probably a mud pit now that the snow melted. It was so nice out! Except I forgot about the killer hill at the end, plus being a bit crampy from the check, plus being uncomfortable because I hadn't pooped yet. Pregnancy makes you do dumb things without thinking them through!

38 weeks ultrasound puts her at 7lbs 13oz. I was totally expecting a petite little girl because DS was only 7lb 9oz and I was 6 lb 13oz when I was born. If this is correct, looks like she'll be quite the chubby one.
Or it's totally wrong. They told me margin of error is 15% which is pretty big.

Oh no! Praying you avoid a stomach bug right before the baby gets here.

I loved when I had an ultrasound at 32 weeks the tech was like he's 4lbs 8oz... but that's WILDLY inaccurate

My ankles are going to burst. I need to order my pump. I want sushi for dinner.
I got all of my maternity transition stuff completed today. I plan on working right up til the end...whenever that may be.
Coworkers are taking me out to lunch tomorrow. Maybe I'll go into labor right after If not, I plan on just coasting, not starting any "real" work, and just being a good little helper for a few days.
