The whole left side of my face hurts, from my temple to my cheek bone to my jaw and teeth. The current idea is that it's from sinus pressure pushing on a nerve that runs through there. I've been on antibiotics for 24 hours so far to take care of any possible bacterial infection, tried a netipot, take 500mg of tylenol every 4 hours and tried moist heat on my face. It still hurts too much to eat more than a little chewable food. Does anyone have ideas besides put everything through the blender?
If this doesn't get better by this afternoon, I'll have to brave our little ice storm to go back to the walk-in clinic.
ETA: Now at least one of the babies has decided it's fun to kick my cervix and lower back. If that's bottom baby working on being head down, I'll take it.
We put our pack n play together last night. She'll be sleeping in that when she gets home so it feels amazing to have that done! Installing car seats tonight or tomorrow.
My sister and I are going shopping to see if we can't finish up the nursery. We'll have to install a bunch of stuff next weekend but it will feel good to get that done as well. Progress!

Morning!
SO glad the week is over! It was a long one for me too.
It's going to be a very baby activity filled weekend. Lots of shopping and organizing to do.
I'm getting a little irrationally worried though because the baby's movements are not as pronounced as usual. She's a very active baby and usually makes a lot of big movements. The past two days, I've still been feeling her, the movements have just been much more subtle. (I've even felt her numerous times this morning.)
I'm trying not to be a baby about it. I did just see my OB and have an ultrasound on Wednesday, so there really shouldn't be any reason to panic. I just hope she kicks it up a notch today.
loves2shop4shoes a couple things to remember: baby is running out of room; babies have quiet days just like we do; and if you're really concerned, call. Your doctor will either reassure you or send you for monitoring. Either option will ease your mind.
DH wants to take DS to the science museum, but I'm not sure I have that much walking in me. Trying to decide. We are trying to pack in as much fun and special stuff as we can.
Doing some shopping/errands this morning and then tonight dinner out for my moms bday. Supposed to get our bad weather Sunday evening so we'll see how that plays out.
@nomnom - feel better! Hopefully the RX kicks in soon so you can get some relief!

I got up, had some breakfast and now I'm back in bed. This week felt so freaking long and I'm tired. I plan to do nothing until yoga at 11. And probably more nothing in the afternoon and evening.

Tomorrow is my shower. I'm beyond excited. I still have a lot of necessities remaining on the registry and I plan to buy those after the shower. I can't wait to have everything ready.

nomnom that sounds so miserable, hope you get relief soon. All I can think of is jello, pudding and Italian ice? notagoddess have so much fun at your shower! I'm feeling much better today, def had a 24 hr bug but I'm so weak. Lost close to 4 lbs so I'll be snacking and drinking as much I can. Praying i don't give this to DS!
Update: DS has decided he wants to stay home. I hope DH isn't disappointed, but we can have a fun, productive day. And I may have planted a seed about ice cream in DS's head.

notagoddess, enjoy your shower! I'm excited to buy the rest of our necessities as well!
nomnom, that sounds horrible - I hope the antibiotics kick in soon!
We're about to go work on DS's new room. My hope is to get it completely cleaned out today so I can clean it. We may even put the new crib together! H wants DS to use the new crib, and I'm irrationally worried about him changing his bed. Like it will make the transition harder than it needs to be. Mommy worry is a killer. My sister is coming next weekend to help me paint the dresser and bookshelf for baby's room, and I need to go shopping to pick out paint colors.
I'm kicking it into high gear - I just printed out 2 months of weekly to-do lists and realized I probably won't even use all of them before the baby is here 😯
We're having a low key day at home. This is the first day DD is home all day from daycare so we'll see how she does around the baby. She's said a few times that she wants me to take care of her instead of B, which breaks my heart a little bit. I hope it doesn't take her too long to adjust to our new normal.
ellabee I hope DD adjusts quickly for you. That's rough mom guilt there. But I've always heard the best thing you'll ever give your child is a sibling. So, try and remember that for the long run.
I had a great night last night, queso night turned into my surprise sprinkle! The girls I was expecting were there and then my mom, sister, and mother in law also came from home (which is a 2 hour drive). I got some cute clothes and a few other things that we needed that broke towards the end of needing them for DS. It was a great time and it was awesome of people to make the trip down.
Also, the baby must really like or really hate Mexican food. Because after I ate he started moving around like an insane person. My entire belly was moving in crazy ways and it felt like he was trying to escape out of my skin. Feeling the baby move is usually so great, but this got old fast. It was painful!

loves2shop4shoes, sorry your baby is giving you the worries. I'm actually surprised baby is still moving as much as it is over here because both of my girls were barely felt by now. Just the occasional slow roll since they run out of room. My midwife said babies get more room the more babies you have so baby might have an extra week or 2 and then movement will slow down here too.
In other news. TMI WARNING. I can't poop. Again. This pregnancy has been a Rollercoaster for my BMs. I'm convince baby must be pinching off my colon or something. I've tried home remedies to medicinal and when I do finally poop it's like a tiny poop, not mathematically possibly for not having pooped for 3-4 days. I might explode in more ways than one when this baby is born. And with my girls I tried to poop religiously near the end because I don't want to poop on the table. I might not win that battle this time. I said poop a lot in that post. Sorry.
We have a three day weekend because of MLK day, and I am determined to be productive! Insurance company calls and baby room organization is on my horizon this weekend.

loves2shop4shoes, movements get smaller near the end of pregnancy because kid is running out of room, like others have said. As long as you are feeling some distinct movement, even if more subtle, you should be fine.
nomnom, I dealt with a sinus infection about a month ago. I almost died. I'd give the abx another day or two, and I'm sorry you are so miserable!
I am in nesting mode like nothing else today. Baby's dresser is in his room, DS1's dresser is moved to his room, baby clothes are in the washer/dryer, boppys are in the living room... I'm bugging H to put together the swing, and I'm about ready to install the car seat. I know we have time, but I want to be ready well ahead of the game this time!

Sounds like everyone is having a productive weekend so far! Go ladies of F17!
nomnom - so sorry you're feeling miserable. Maybe also call your dentist if the pain settles in your jaw. I have low sinuses and ended up with a sinus infection that settled in a tooth. The pain in my mouth felt like a tooth, not my sinuses. Just an FYI in case things settle low. FX the antibiotic kicks in soon and you get some relief.
After my pity party for one last night, I decided to be productive today and ended up taking J to BJ's and the grocery store in the freezing rain/sleet/snow mix we're getting. The roads were fine, but it's cold and wet. Yuck. She was a trooper though and so helpful. We were out for 3.5 hours. I'm exhausted.
But I'm all ready to spend the afternoon cooking and stocking the freezer!
I also bought diaper and wipes. Just a BJ's size box of newborn size and one BJ's box of wipes. But I'm officially freaked out. I may take advantage of our completion discount and buy a few lingering items this weekend to make me feel better. Ugh... my PgAL brain is making me anxious. Like diapers were a bad idea. Stupid PgAL brain...
Now I want ice cream for lunch. Cookies-and-cream or deep chocolate? Decisions, decisions...

Well, all H's stuff is packed up, and the new crib is upstairs (still needs to be assembled). I guess we're actually going to need to move his clothes and things upstairs next week and we could potentially move him into his room by next weekend. I feel panicky. Someone tell me moving him out of the nursery will be ok!! Lol

shawnabm1320 - Seriously, moving J to her big girl room was the best move we ever made. She loves it! I'm glad we did it before #2 arrived - she doesn't feel like she got kicked out of the nursery. Good luck! I hope the transition goes smoothly for you
