britta my kid won't even eat corn... avocado is about all he will eat, and I can hide spinach in scrambled eggs or quesadillas without him noticing. Anything else is a no go. Occasionally I can get him to eat a sweet potato or regular potato, but not often. The toddler pouches are really the only way I can get veggies in his diet, and I have him drink the v8 splash juice watered down or the Bolton farms smoothies.
We introduced both fruits and veggie purees to both of our girls early on and they had no issues at all with not liking veggies. We did purees at 4 months old and at 6/7 months old, we went up to the stage 2 foods and introduced Puffs. Once they were good with the Puffs, we did stuff like soft, slightly mashed peas and other soft table foods cut up into tiny pieces. By 10 months old, they were eating all table food and no more purees. We're hoping it goes as well with DS as it did with them.
