The baby is getting sick. He was up every 2ish hours last night, coughing and grunting, full of snot. We tried to feed him every time he woke up, why I don't know, but he didnt eat anything all night. Finally, at 5:15, he ate about 4.5oz for me. It took 45 minutes, but that was the first time he ate since 7:30 the night before. He doesn't have a fever....yet....so FX this is the worst it gets.
The toddler was up at 6:10, because why not.
H is on nights tonight. Which means solo bedtime for me. It also means that he's home this morning. Which I should be all "yay" about, but our routine. Dude, you're killing it.
I'm reaaallly hoping to work this week, but it's STS week. There are a couple surgeons out everyday, so I'm sure cases will be down. 😩
Everything is covered in ice. Thankfully DH has the day off work and daycare is closed for MLK so they don't have to venture out. Unfortunately, I still have to go to work. I hope the roads are better outside my neighborhood.
Stay safe erien22846. We're supposed to get freezing rain this morning before turning to all rain later. By the looks of the radar, it's still south of us. Hopefully, by the time it hits the majority of the morning commute will be done, or it'll have warmed enough for it to be rain.

britta, I'm so sorry. I hope the little guy feels better soon!
Last night N was so tired from the party he asked to go to bed. That never, ever happens. Ever. He was asleep within 10 minutes too. G went in at 10:30 and slept until 4:30. N woke up around 6:30, and my mom took him downstairs so I could rest a little longer. We'll probably head home around lunch time to give MH some time to himself.
britta - I hope your little guys is feeling better soon! I hope he sleeps better for you tonight.
erien22846 - I hope you get to work safely! I hate driving in icy conditions; it's so scary.
DS now gets up at 4:30 every morning and is wide awake and ready to play. No matter what you do, he won't go back to sleep and he does not want to stay in his crib. It's so hard to keep him up much past 7pm, but clearly we need to figure out how to keep him up a little later, even if just an hour.
Roads are icy here too. I'm home with both girls so we probably won't go anywhere until it warms up this afternoon. Don't want to jinx it but they're both still asleep while I drink my coffee in peace.
I'm off today but DH is at work, so I'm home with the boys. Aside from DS2 being up on and off all night, it's been a good morning. I even got a workout in, with DS2 watching and DS1 participating a little. I need to figure out how to get the workouts in during work days, at least for now (once DS2 is sleeping better, I can get up early to do them).
Stay safe out there to everyone dealing with winter nonsense.

britta, sorry DS is getting sick. Hope it's short lived. erien22846, boo for working on MLK. smallpotato, jwinct, best wishes with the early wakeups. fem Hugs for going back to work tomorrow.
MLK day means DH and I are home today. DS wokeup and was playful, but I was still a little tired after feeding/changing, so I brought him into our bed to snuggle between me and DH. It was actually kinda nice, DS only fussed a little and seemed to be intrigued by our room and the concept of being cuddled between us - though DH did get his beard pulled on quite a bit.
Cold here, so we probably aren't venturing out. Got some laundry and organizing to do. Sis comes over soon so gonna bake up some blueberry muffins and warm up the house.
britta I hope the worst of whatever is gong on with your DS2 is over. erien22846 Stay safe out there. jwinct 430 every morning is rough. I hope you get it figured out soon. fem Hugs for going back to work. smallpotato So cool your DS1 asked to go to bed.
I have so many things I want to get done today. I thought of some pictures I want of HL before the Christmas stuff comes down so I want to do those. Then once those are done finally take down Christmas. I also want to work on the garage some more. Mr. P is home so hopefully he will put my pantry together and I can get the kitchen organized more.

jwinct that is so special. I was 10 (turned 11 the next month) when my little sister was born and 13 when my brother was born. There's a special bond there. ❤

britta Sorry for the crap sleep. Hope your little guy feels better.
I had planned to go to a cardio class this morning but DS slept until 830 and DD 9. Didn't want to rush everyone out the door. We'll go for a walk shortly, it's another nice day out. DD has preschool this afternoon and dance this evening.
Need to go order DS's birth certificate and return some extra 6 month clothes we didn't need. I've got people coming to pick up some baby stuff I auctioned off, so need to organize that. House is a disaster as always, so more cleaning, organizing and purging needs to happen.
@kitchen - Yeah, I'd almost forgotten how messy it is. I threw him in the tub after that. And the next day his poop was already a funky color and a bit stinkier just from a half a container of carrots. Last night he finished that container and wanted more... and ate an entire one. So yeah, he ate 1 1/2 "jars" of baby food last night in one sitting. I didn't know if I should cut him off, but he was enjoying it so much. lol

jwinct I love his bib! Those pictures are so cute. MH still talks about the things he did with my BIL when BIL was a baby (MH was almost 15 when BIL was born). I hope N will be good with G like that, but I have visions of him stuffing a spoon in G's mouth.
I just put all HL's wash away and organized her drawers. She has SO MANY clothes. I have all of AG's stuff and people have been buying her some. I just have feelz thinking about getting rid of some of it.

britta I think I jinxed myself talking about naps with you. I am now on day 3 of C absolutely refusing to nap unless she is in my arms or attached to a boob. She sleeps fine at night though so I don't know what the deal is. She's going through a leap so maybe that is it. I don't necessarily mind the snuggles except it's my last week of maternity leave and I wanted to kon Mari the heck out of my kitchen!

jwinct, your kiddos are so freaking cute! Ahhh. Our friends had their 5mo old over to our place yesterday, and he is starting solids too. Very interested in food. Our guy so far not so much, but after seeing the other LO, now he's been paying more attention.
We never give O bottles besides practicing so I have no idea how much she drinks. Is 3oz bottles about right for this age? I know I remember about an ounce for every hour you're gone.

vavavictoria oh no! DS2 still fights naps and they're still all over the map. Yesterday he fell asleep in the swing. I almost had a stroke from excitement. He usually has to be taken upstairs, dark, white noise, and bounced to sleep through his loud objections to nap. I hope you get to your kitchen. I'm organizing/purging our "office", which is basically big junk drawer.
fem DS2 is 3 months old as of Saturday. He consistently eats 6oz every 3ish hours while awake. He sleeps a good 6-9 hours a night, on average.

We've been purging and organizing our home office this morning. I can't believe how much shit gets accumulated and hoarded. H made me throw away everything in my "nurse bag", which included 10 years worth of notes, inservice, and training materials for work...if you can imagine. He's like, "Have you referenced it? Ever? I think you've been a nurse long enough you don't need all this." Ok but nostalgia!!! And so. many. pens. And hemostats. I'm terrible. I also found my name badge from way back when I was a CNA. We're talking 13+ years ago people. OMG.
It's so rainy and dreary today. All I really wanna do is nap.

Just coming up for air after a busy morning. And we didn't even go anywhere. DD caught my cold. She prolly isn't going to preschool day #3 tomorrow. Boo. She's been saying she doesn't want to go back, so awesome. LO is 3 months this week, and it is the time I told myself I'd start reigning in the junk food intake. That's another big hit, haha. We had a busy weekend, so I've been catching up on laundry dishes vacuuming. Trying to decide if I wanna start a big dinner prep or crochet and watch tv. I don't know if I have anything on dvr. But I'm anticipating a crappy nap, so prolly shouldn't start the big dinner prep. jwinct, we've often let LO take a cat nap with us down stairs of she seems tired too early, then go upstairs and do bedtime to get another feeding in. Some people do dream feeds too, which is putting them down and then going in a couple hours later and feeding them without really waking. But I haven't tried that.

DS2 is napping, the dog is napping, and DS1 is quietly watching the iPad. Dishwasher and a load of laundry are running, dinner is in crockpot. I want to nap now, but I don't think DS1 will stay in his room.
Has anything changed with foods since my first? Are they still saying Bf babies should wait until 6 months for solids? Anyone doing baby led weaning? I would love to skip purees
