Operation: fetch sleepers achieved. And I got them from the clearance rack, which was even better. I got 5. Plus an absolutely adorable dress in 0-3 that she should be able to be in by April 1 when we go to my cousins wedding. It was clearance, how could I say no? Will keep them on hangers and tags with receipt til she's born. H can do a load of laundry if we need them.
Re: sleep sacks, the ones we have actually zip from the top down so that's nice.
Long sleeve onesies in nb size will be another day, another excuse. 😉
Also. Wtb coconut oil. It was highly recommended in our baby classes, but she didn't say exactly what kind to get. Can I use the organic stuff on my counter or is there a different kind made for butts?

I just used what I had around for cooking so your counter oil is probably find.
mrsdee1982 how was your appointment today? Did you have to pop a squat in the doctor's office?
otepoti hope things are progressing since your sweep.
Still no progress. 1 centimeter dilated. Same as the last 5 weeks. She did the best sweep she could with me only being dilated to 1. Induction set for Monday morning if nothing else happens before then.

I could've kicked H in the shins tonight. There was a knock on the door this evening and when I checked the time, I figured it was H with his hands full so I got up to answer the door. I should mention that I was topless because I was feeding W.
It wasn't H. It was his best friend. Apparently, he invited him over. H never told me. Thankfully, he was more than ok with waiting outside until I found a shirt. Oh, and H didn't get off work until almost an hour later.

I am team snaps for newborn and then zipper once they get a little bigger and squirmier. I will say the target brand, used to be Circo but is now cat and jack, makes a sleeper with an inverted zipper which is the best of both worlds. They only go up to 9 months though so I was pretty bummed when dd outgrew them.
pibblemom, just reassuring you that you should totes go to target.
Get sleepers... the kind with ZIPPERS. Snaps can be a pain in the ass in the middle of the night! And long sleeve onesies. Then you jsut swaddle to keep the leggies warm! Pants are only necessary when leaving the house. (That goes for baby AND mom).
Interesting. I'm actually Team Snaps. I like being able to undo the bottom part without exposing the chest. But I rarely put him in undershirts as our house is super warm
H likes snaps for this reason they drive me crazy though.

I bought the jars in the beauty section of Costco. But I think it's basically the same stuff. Also use it on my hair and nips. Basically we're both covered in it.

Confession: I do not own and never used coconut oil. I know people swear by it for any and all things. Am I really missing out? Is it really that amazing? Should I jump on the bandwagon?
Oh, and I am Team Snaps
As for the rock n play (because I know everyone wants to know what I decided), we are going to stick with pack n play for night time. He's been sleeping well in it so why change it.

heybulldog56, I don't swear by it. In fact, I barely use it. It gets used when I do Whole 30 and rarely any other time. I hate greasy feels so I don't use it on W even though I know it works.
heybulldog56 and pibblemom I'm a coconut oil convert. It worked better on my nips last time than the lanolin. We greased up ds for his dry baby skin, cradle cap, and diaper rash. I use it on myself when I have super dry skin. We mix a little in the dog's food when she was having her weird skin allergy and now her fur is so soft and shiny. Mh jokes that it's my go to answer. I get a big jar at BJs. If you're going for health benefits vs just moisturizing they say the cold pressed stuff is better because heat can degrade it but obviously I'm team moisturize.
