DS2 continues to be sick. Last night he coughed all. night. long., although he never really woke from it. I fed him at 3:30 and he took the first full bottle he'd had since Monday night? I'm really hoping this is the peak and he'll get better from here. OTOH, there were signs up today that, in addition to the 2 cases of RSV from last week, there have now been cases of Croup and Pneumonia between the two infant classes and the young toddler class. 😳 So, basically, at least no Ebola??
I forgot DS1's winter coat at home, so I had to come all the way back home and then go all the way back to drop it off. I'm on call for work and, at this point, kind of hoping I don't get called in so that I don't have to drive all the way back that way AGAIN. H should be out decently early so he'll be able to pick them up on his way through. I have a lot of laundry to do today and I need to book a hotel room for the weekend. We're heading up north to see my extended family this weekend and have decided it would be easier if we did that instead of staying with someone. I've been dragging my feet seeing how things play out with DS2. If he's not feeling better in the next day, I'll probably call it off. He doesn't need to be passed around when he's already sick.
Anyway, picture. From Saturday when he turned 3 months. PDQ. *poof*
Bummer about DS britta. Hope he does start improving from here. We're just hanging out at the house. I didn't plan well enough for the day and it's all gone sideways already. Mostly because I looked around and decided I wanted to do some stuff around the house. Like on my own. Without toddler help. So we're resetting by Finding Dory. I might make loaded baked cauliflower today. I still have bacon from the casserole I made the other night. I have an appt tomorrow for a second opinion on LOS lip tie. DD1 definitely has one, now that DH and I looked at it. And I'm kinda bummed, worried, it's affecting her speech and dentition. And worried about side effects of getting either ones clipped.

britta, I hope that is the start of him feeling better. I can't believe all the illness at the day care! sanibel21, I hope you get some answers tomorrow on the lip tie. @kitchen, I would definitely be pissed about that. You've been without hot water since the weekend, right? That is way too long.
AFM, I'm getting ready to take N out for a bit for some one on one time before I go back to work. I have to go to Target to get diapers for G to bring to daycare tomorrow. Once we get back, I have to do the paperwork for G and get everything together.
Here is G's 3 month pic from Saturday and one from this morning. He thinks daddy is hysterical.
Oh my, @kitchen. I think I...would be a raging bitch about the hot water by now. I need my morning shower like people need their coffee. I hope it gets remedied soon for you

britta sorry the baby is still sick. sanibel21 I still can't seem to manage accomplishing anything these days. @kitchen I would be pissed.hoe it gets fixed soon.
DS is super congested. Woke up with his eye all crusty. Hope it doesn't get worse than that.
No set plans for this morning although as usual my do to list is a mile long and the house is a mess. DD has preschool this afternoon and my mom is coming over so I should be able to get a few things done.
I am at work and a bit busier than I have been lately, but at least it makes the day go by more quickly. One of my vendors managed to piss me off this morning and I sent him a nicely worded, but somewhat scathing email this morning. Ever since our long-time sales rep retired from that company, the level of care and quality control has plummeted and I'm now currently looking for a new vendor to move that part of the business to. Fun times.
DS is at daycare today, so hopefully he will sleep really well tonight.
britta sorry about DS! Hope he feels better soon. sanibel21 loaded baked cauliflower sounds AWESOME! @kitchen hope your water gets fixed soon smallpotato love the laughing picture! hikingmama222 DD has had a crusty eye for a while. Hope it doesn't get any worse.
@@kitchen I would be losing my shit over no hot water. I almost flipped a little this morning because the movies weren't playing on the tv. smallpotato hope you and N's one on one time is good! hikingmama222 hope your DS feels better soon too!

I'm in a 3 day training for work (today is day 2) and the guy leading it has brought up politics a few times - he is Pro-Trump. Regardless, I feel like this is completely inappropriate. Who do I complain to about this??? HR?
Work today. My supply seems to have evened out thankfully. I started Fenugreek because my pump output during the day at work wasn't enough to cover daycare bottles the following day, and I want to build a bit of a freezer stash. I already notice an increase. I got 4oz out of one breast this morning, when I typically (prior to food poisoning) only got 2-3oz. Success! We moved DS into his new crib (finally) after breaking his old one around Christmas. Cue the panic attack from him when he took his nap. He didn't recognize his surroundings I guess. Luckily bedtime was much smoother, with only 5 minutes of crying before falling asleep. Hopefully we move to no crying tonight! DD chilling in the bumbo with the most ridiculous hair. DS' stuck straight up for like 8 months lol
My two babies. DS loves to grab DD and hug her, sometimes a little too aggressively lol.

Um, yes, completely inappropriate. Is your training within your company, or are you outside of your company? If it's within your own company, I'd contact HR about it.

It's an outside company doing the training. This is why I don't really know how to handle it.

I want to add that this guy pronounces aesthetically like this: ASSthetically. Also pronounces concatenate like this: ConCANTenate. He is grating on my nerves to no end in so many ways, as you can see.

Good morning!
Went to meet C's new teacher at the daycare when I dropped off V. She had no idea she was getting a new baby on Monday. Lovely. It's a little funny bc half the staff knows that C will be joining them and talk to me about it all the time but the person who will actually take care of her has been left out of the loop.
Meeting with my boss who is in town for happy hour. Little catch up before I start work on Monday. H will watch C so it will be nice to have some baby free time. Much as I love her, I'm ready for some me time.

I hate it when speakers not only cross the line with politics but when they have speaking issues like that. I totally fixate on it. If someone repeatedly says um I can't even concentrate on the actual topic. And mispronouncing multiple words. Omg.

I feel like I am in the twilight zone right now. We just had lunch in my training and so the guy leading it (who is my favorite, as I mentioned before) was chatting with about half the people in here and they are all talking about how millenials are so entitled (we all know this CAN be true but it's not like they were debating it), how it's so dumb that seatbelts are required in cars, how car seats are so stupid now, etc. I feel like I am in an alternate universe and I want to scream. I think this is because of where I live and I kid you not, with everything surrounding the election, I want to move somewhere that I'm not one of the only people around who has a different (and sane) point of view.

How do they think car seats aren't necessary? Ummmm science.....
becole how are the bottles going for you guys? O has refused the last two days at daycare. I had to leave and feed her at lunch yesterday (took me 45 minutes and I only get a 25 minute lunch). Today she's taken an ounce but DH is driving her to me to feed in a few minutes. I hope things are going better for you!
DD is still coughing. She didn't really have trouble sleeping overnight, only woke once at 430 to eat. She ate 22 oz overall yesterday (minus whatever she refluxed up). Today she is sleeping A LOT. She woke up at 7 for a bottle, and right back to sleep. Woke at 11 at playgroup, ate and went right back to sleep. You know who isn't sleeping? The toddler. We were in jammies and in bed by 6 last night because he was so friggin crabby. And now he's trying to refuse his nap. Which means he'll be lucky to make it til supper without a huge meltdown.

WTAF.
This will be me this weekend though. My biological father is very....uneducated? and holds some opinions and views that I really struggle with.

I'm in the weeds today, but I just want to say that it's probably a good thing I have two small children or else I would be downing vodka starting at like 9am on Friday. Seriously, who would possibly put down car seats and seat belts? Do people hate facts and statistics? Yes, apparently they do.

I called my work and told them what was going on and they are working with me. Basically this is my last week of leave and every day I'm taking him in for them to try a bottle. He takes one ounce. That's it. I went to an LC who gave me some exercises to do with him because he's very gaggy and doesn't want anything touching his soft palate. She also showed me how to latch him deeper to de sensitize him. The good news is that his LT and TT that were cut are fully functional and not part of the problem. She also suggested cup training or using a syringe to feed. I will probably take off next week to continue working on it and then he's just going to have to figure it out. He was up 4 times last night I think in protest.
It's better but still red. Today I showed up for his repeat hearing screen where they have to be tired and hungry and it's scheduled for Friday. I am like 1000 years behind and I'm not even working yet.
