I think it's weeklyplanner's turn today? Good luck lady!
I'll be here walking, bouncing, squatting, and doing whatever other birth inducing exercise I can find in hopes of giving birth for my grandpa's birthday.

Checking in. Toddler hasn't puked since 10 pm. Curious about what today holds. Will she get sick again? Will there be diarrhea? Who's going to catch it first, me ? Hubs? Or our one week old baby?
We're in the walk in lab at the hospital getting labs redrawn because they screwed up yesterday. The pedi thought it would be best to add on a few blood tests in addition to the bilirubin just in case, but that means B has to get both heels stuck.
I'm just so irritated that we have to be here in the first place. ☹️
I'm doing much better today. Yesterday was a little rougher than I anticipated pain wise. I slept about 6 hours last night which helped and finally got out of bed and walked around.
F is doing well, breastfeeding has been ok, tough to get her to latch deeply but overall ok.
The stomach bug we had in our house judyblume14 went like this: 3 throwups in the first 4 hrs followed by a mild fever the next day and no appetite the following day. Hopefully you're past the puking stage - if it's the same bug that's basically been making its way across the country.
We survived the heel sticks, just waiting on the call from the pedi now with the results.
While we were waking into the hospital I ran into my OB, who is on call today. It was nice to see her because she's such a positive person. She said she was thrilled to read the OBs report of my labor. She said "I heard you rocked it". Lol. That gave me the little emotional boost i needed today.
Also, our cleaners are here today, so that always improves my mental outlook on life.

I have a huge headache I just want to sleep it away. E is fussy and hasn't popped since Tuesday. The pedi told us to use gas drops for her pushing and grunting issues but it has t helped much. I'm trying to eat healthier but I'm eating like crap lately. I'm just whining today.
I'm tying up loose ends and emails, trying not to pull my hair out at stupid questions, and explaining to people that no, I can't schedule a meeting for the foreseeable future. Meanwhile, I've swapped my chair out for my ball, so hopefully my unconscious bouncing will help move things the right way.

Glad to hear today is better, @orangcrush. ellabee, hope the draws go quickly and painlessly. (oh, i see they have...and now i see you're heading back. Chin up, B will get better. And you'll keep nursing and doing your best.) rinny, kinda sounds like you're not gonna go to the 27th!!!!
Thanks for the insight, ellabee, i'm hoping we're past the puke stage for L. She's eating (i'm only letting her eat a littl ebit at a time, just in case). I'm just so scared about someone else getting it. If H gets it, I lose my stellar helper. If I get it, I'm afraid of busting my lady stitches while puking, or that, if it's the other end, I fear for my hemmie.
I just had a great phone call with my grandpa. I'm sad I'm missing his big party but it's way too far to drive ten days before my due date. He was telling me how his mom gave birth to 13 kids at home on the farm in the wilds of Upstate NY. Sorry grandpa, I want the painkillers.
Contractions while on the ball. Stop moving to time them. They stop.
I will just have to have this baby while sitting at my dining room table on my ball I suppose.
It'll make a great story!
Funny, I almost considered a homebirth, because it's one of the services my MW office offers, but we're too far from the nearest nicu hospital for my comfort. Now it's just one of my (irrational) fears that the non-painful contractions that I'm feeling are actual contractions and I'm one of the rare people who will not know when she's in labor.
Totally irrational, I know. But there was a girl that made it to the MW office and gave birth there recently because that's what happened to her 😳 so, of course that will happen to me too.
I had a baby yesterday. Ended up having him in hospital as there wasn't a midwife team on for the night due to illness. Wound up with a pool birth so that was nice. Just got home and ordered take out.

WOW!! congratulations! I hope mom and baby are doing well!
They're redrawing his labs at 4pm and we'll know then if we have to be transferred to Children's. If not, they expect to keep him for tonight and tomorrow.
I'm pumping for his feeds now and if he does we'll today, he'll be allowed back to breast tomorrow. I'm thankful that I'm an experience pumper, having done it for 9 months at work with DD. I got pretty good output, so hopefully supplementing is one less thing I have to worry about.
