So many ((hugs)) silvermelody. Hang in there mama. It must feel pretty overwhelming right now. I think you just have to focus on finding the best solution that's manageable for you, whatever that looks like.
Sorry that your LC follow up came as another blow silvermelody. I totally get that adding more to an already demanding routine, whether pumping or formula, seems like a huge addition. Especially when you're trying to look after your toddler too. Hugs.
I second what weeklyplanner said about extra bottles to help manage the work though. I know for DS1 I had 3 days worth of bottles, which seemed excessive when I recently washed them all. But, there was one to be set up with F for a day, one set would be in the dishwasher queue and one set would be clean dry and ready to go. It took some of the pressure off if I got behind in washing up and helped my sanity...
Speaking of bottles and when to introduce... I'm aiming to intro somewhere between 4-6weeks given we still working on good latch. Ultimately I'll be combo feeding so bottles will be formula eventually but I want to start off with BM. Which means I need to collect some BM first. My milkues are ordered but i probably need to break out the pump sooner rather than later.
Can someone remind me how best to intro a bottle? How much, before or after nursing, how frequently etc? I was in such a bad place when we did this with DS1 I think I've forgotten evrrything.
He's more of a party crasher than an invited guest... I didn't stop bfing ds1 until he was 2 1/2 (July I think). I'm actually impressed at how well he's doing giving up the boobs to his brother. But hes still very.... involved.

silvermelody big hugs to you. Please be gentle on yourself and remember that this isn't something you've done or can control. It's so easy to feel guilty about everything but you really have nothing to feel guilty about.
Can you look into one of those formula things? I can't remember what they're called but I always think of them as a Kuerig for bottles.

weeklyplanner that's good advice. I'm going to prioritize the mornings because historIcally that's when my supply is best. Some pumping is better than none. And I'm focusing on my love for her, it's not her fault.
We pulled the bottles out of storage and have a dishwasher rack this time. I can always order more on Amazon Prime
So, I tried some of those lactation cookies they sell at BRU and BBB.
They're awful. Mine tasted like soap. Guess I'll just have to find a recipe to make them myself.
I got some lactation cookies too and they def have a weird taste. I've been noshing on just plain oatmeal cookies. And enjoying this milk stout while nursing baby
Not really nursing related, but I got one of those silicone milk saver things in the mail today. DS kept insisting it was "fish" (aka nebulizer mask, his looks like a fish) and kept trying to suction it to his face. I couldn't convince him it was not his, so should be interesting to try to use once baby is here 🙈🙈🙈

I need to get one of these. I leak from the opposite boob of what W is feeding from.

Has anyone else's little one decided to stop trying when it comes to latching on? It seems to take forever the last couple days to get him on a boob. He acts like he just doesn't want to put the effort into latching so it takes multiple times of him putting my nipple in his mouth but not attaching before he finally latches on. It's almost like when he has to try latching when I'm super engorged and can't get a good grip but this is happening almost every session.

This happens to me when I'm engorged and leaking. It's like he's more interested in what I'm leaking than actually getting a latch. He also has a hard time getting a grip.

It's getting annoying. Like, engorged boobs, I get it. But when they aren't engorged and it's still happening, it's frustrating. Plus, I leak everywhere.

The one upside to pumping all the time is that it's pulling my nipples out more and making it easier for N to latch. She's so little and they are so flat, even after nursing DS for so long.
Pumping wouldn't be so bad without the setup/tear down process. And I'm efficient, I know all the tricks.
She gave me one 2 hr 45 min stretch tonight. Let's see what the next one is.
