Both kids seem to have a stomach bug, so I'm taking the morning shift while H goes in to the office to take care of some things. I'll go in this afternoon. I'm a little nervous about having both pukey kids solo for the next 4-5 hours. Wish me luck.

It's actually not too bad because the poor things just want to snuggle on the couch and watch tv. Just some messy diapers O and making sure there's a bucket for E in case she doesn't make it to the bathroom. They are excited because I let them have watered down juice this morning to make sure they have enough fluids.
Hope they feel better soon chrispy1122! I think it is back to work for becole, good luck! Hope the day goes quick and DS2 takes bottles like a champ and is so excited by the new surroundings he sleeps like a champ for you tonight!
I'm headed to the auto shop this morning to drop off my car for repairs. H is gone for the week, so I'll have to reinstall the car seats in my rental. I'm feeling annoyed/lazy thinking of that. And even more so knowing I'll have to do it again later this week when I pick up the car. #mondaywhines
I am doing half days this week- going in at lunch and see how it goes. It's at least giving me another week of getting some morning sleep and I can get everything ready without forgetting anything. I really just wanted to say two more weeks but I think this will allow me to spread out my leave as much as I need to. Hopefully DS2 takes a bottle.
bazingaa, my sympathies. Installing car seats is my least favorite task ever. DH primarily handles that. I didn't even learn how to install it until last July when I was traveling with DS solo.
I was super pregnant and washed three car seat covers and had to uninstall and reinstall them. I think H was working late a bunch and I got tired of waiting. It was a bitch! I feel you bazingaa
Hey - here! Kind of a dreary day outside. Drinking coffee and studying at work. My appetite is crazy today, maybe because I was nauseous yesterday and couldn't eat much.
chrispy1122, I hope the littles feel better soon and gave you an easy morning!
Re carseat installs... Our nextfit is pretty easy to install, so I don't mind it. Most other car seats I usually end up with a skinned finger or other small injury trying to get them in and out.

The next fit is easier RF than FF because you have to put the top anchor over the seat and hook it to the back. For me that means climbing into the back of my vehicle.
H and I are pretty close to being ready to buy a bigger SUV or van (will buy used) . Any recommendations?
We have a Toyota Sienna and love it. From a price standpoint you can get the same bells and whistles in a van for cheaper than an SUV. We got the leather interior, 4 wheel drive, and backup camera (no tvs or anything like that) and the cost vs a comparable SUV was a no brainer for us to go to van route. We used to have a 3 row SUV (granted no pass through 2nd row), but the storage and packing capabilities are so much greater in the van. When we go on trips we can easily fit everything we need. Don't even have to try and pack smart to get everything in. Im no expert, but I've heard the Honda and Toyota vans are the way to go when you have car seats. Something about the configurations and install are better in those models than other vans.

Ooh I didn't even think of that. Yeah, that's gonna suck.
Thanks babylove518 and bazingaa I didn't realize vans could be cheaper than comparable suvs. H is team SUV but I'd be fine with a van, if it's easier and more spacious.
lindsay the odyssey has the best car seat install options of pretty much any SUV/ van out there. Pilot is right there too. Sienna isn't far behind, but I don't think it has as many latch points. Town and country has very limited options for safely transporting children.
