Second wake up at 5 am was awful. She didn't go back to sleep until 630. This kid just seems so gassy and nothing was helping-can't wait till she outgrows it. I've got first pp appt today and the house cleaners are coming too, hallelujah.
I require alcohol and a reset button. At this point my morning has been comical and there is nothing to do but laugh.
1. I had an extremely vivid and convincing dream that I had my baby. Woke up still very pregnant. 😭
2. Woke up because my lower back hurt so much I questioned if it was back labor or just being hugely pregnant and unable to find a comfortable position.
3. Ds woke up at 5:30, an hour early, and wouldn't go back down.
4. Discovered the dog pooped and peed in my recently cleaned carpet even though she pooped last night when she went out before bed. She hasn't done something like that since she was a puppy (excluding illness)
5. I put ds in his room with the iPad so I could have five relaxing minutes in the shower and the power went off! I grew up in the woods so losing power doesn't bother me but it was so creepy in the shower. My mind jumped right to being stabbed through the shower curtain because obviously there's an axe murderer in my house now. 😂
Zoo parent update: we picked the elk. He showed the most interest in the elk and fox pictures but he already has several fox stuffed animals. Plus he had his first public tantrum in front of the elk when we tried to move to the next exhibit. He sat right on the sidewalk crying because he didn't want to leave them so I guess we need to commorate that.

Gripe water and gerber soothe probiotics have been helpful for us! And ahh so lucky about the cleaners coming! 🙌🙌
I've done gripe water but not the Gerber drops. Will try that, thanks!

Hopefully you can get naps in today @joybaby5 and vlagroupie.
lakegirl, wow to your morning! Hope the day is less eventful.
Today was my first morning getting up with DS1. H and my mom have been handling morning routine and practically all things DS1. It's time for me to start transitioning back into routine. It was actually nice to spend the morning with DS1 (with my mom helping out as well). He actually told me he missed me and loves me very much which made me start crying. Nothing like being smacked on the face with mom guilt first thing in the morning. Aside from that, we had a smooth morning and uneventful daycare drop off. H and DS2 are still asleep so it's time for a nap before LC appointment.
I'm working from home today. Walking around our giant office killed my back yesterday. Still lots of contractions that still aren't going anywhere. I've pretty much given up on having this baby any time soon 😂😂.

@joybaby5, we're keeping DD1 in day care. She did bring home the sickies. But kept it to herself because we've been CRAZYPANTS about hand-washing/sanitizing.
I feel like a crazy woman, but whenever DD comes home from daycare I cringe when she wants to touch and hold B because I just feel like she must be covered in germs @joybaby5. We do lots of hand washing, but I still feel like such a germophobe.
Yay for a clean house vlagroupie! I love when my cleaners come.
Holy crap lakegirl, that's quite the morning. So cute about the zoo parent though!!!
Ugh. The mom guilt is so real heybulldog56. Just LT for solidarity.
Sending you labor vibes rinny. Yay for working from home!
Got Bs bili levels redrawn just now. The lab tech was awesome and got a good spot on his heel so it took maybe 20seconds. B actually went right back to sleep after. We'll get the results at his pedi appt at 11. Fx they're low enough to not be readmitted.
@joybaby5 I will sit on your sleepy bench. I'm sure it'll be good for both my f you for your ds to go to school for a little while, and fx no germs come home! Yes vlagroupie! So ready for a more mature tummy to deal with the gas. We do gerber soothe drops, gripe water, and gas drops. Not really sure what else to try. If it ends up being an allergy I'm switching to formula with no guilt. lakegirl that sounds like a terrible morning, fix it gets better and that you maybe get a good nap in today. heybulldog56 gl at the lc today, hopefully they tell you what you need to hear for your peace of mind. rinny I hope that baby gives you a break soon and come out to meet you!
::yawn:: Very little sleep last night, hoping for a double nap today because I'm exhausted. Curious George and Sophia the first are going to get some parenting time in today.
When mh got home this morning I might have been a little mean to him, but I'm tired so he can get over it. He says I make him feel guilty that I didn't get any sleep, I guess I do but I don't really care. But Honestly I think he could help a little more on his work days, he gets 8-9 hours of sleep those days. On his work days I get max 5-6 hours of broken sleep. Last night I got less than 3 hours of very broken sleep, and now I have to be on all day with both kids. I'm not sure what I want him to do but I am a bit bitter about all the sleep he is getting.

meeggaannw - my last mat leave, I was PISSED that DH was getting more sleep than me. Rather than just be shitty about it, I saved some daytime chores for home that I would have otherwise done. So, I took a nap during the day when baby napped, and had him unload the dishwasher, or whatever at night...

DS was sooooo gassy and had reflux. The Gerber soothe probiotic drops were so helpful. Also, not sure if you BF or FF, but if you BF try cutting back on your dairy. I wouldn't go crazy and totally eliminate it just yet, but maybe cut out the very obvious large servings and see if you notice a difference. With DS I had to go entirely dairy free due to an intolerance and his gas and reflux improved drastically.

So, trying to find a preschool program for 3 year olds that is only 2 mornings a week seems impossible. Finally found one, but their cut off is that the child has to turn 3 by December 31 2016 to qualify for the program in fall of 2017. DD's bday is Jan 14. Seriously?

E is napping she must be tired this is normally our play time. So I am looking up places to have a party for after her baptism. I'd rather focus on this than post work childcare. Ugh my left boob is barely producing anything.
geauxtigers79 oh no! I just realized that will be a problem for us down the line too.
I'm pretty sure I'm going to start DD1 in 2x a week nursery school in the fall. She will be almost 2.5 then. There's an open house next week, I'm not sure if I will feel up to going though.
Positive: there were 101 Amazon packages waiting for me when I got home just now. Some were gifts and the rest stuff I bought with my completion coupon. Now I get to organize some more baby things! Wheeeee! Also, sorry delivery man. He clearly played Tetris to get most of them between the storm door and main door to keep them dry.
DH took DS1 to urgent care last night and he has the beginnings of an ear infection. They gave him amoxicillin to take for the next 10 days and he is resisting any and all efforts of ours to give the medicine. I just tried to give him the remainder of his dose just now and he got so worked up that he puked up everything he had already had. We tried giving it mixed in with milk and he wised up after a couple sips. I really don't want to resort to holding him down every morning and night to force this medicine in him.
W's bili check was this morning and his levels are down which is awesome but he was down 15 g from Saturday so the NP we saw immediately started talking about pumping and gave us a can of formula to take home. W is having a good number of pees and poops so I'm definitely not worried. He should be back up to birth weight by his two week appt next week.

I want to set shit in fire. I just received a letter from HR stating that my leave request was denied. It claims I did not submit two required forms. These two forms were filled out and faxed over by my OB last week. I have called HR THREE fucking times since to confirm whether the forms were received. I also email twice. Never heard back. And now this fucking letter shows up? Are they serious? I just left a super angry voicemail and sent a pretty intense email as well. This is bullshit. I could have taken care of this asap had anyone bothered to return my calls or emails.
This totally over shadows that at the weighed feed this morning B gained 3 oz after feeding.

Liking for the weight gain. And that's pretty shitty about HR.

Well my strongly worded voicemail and email worked. HR got back to me within 20 minutes. They did receive the forms and told me to ignore the letter because all was fine. Thanks assholes.

See, I fucking hate this shit. It's impossible not to get worked up over it.. and then they're like, "lol jk, our bad."
But hooray for the weight gain! Keep it up, mama and B!
Negative: just received notice that will we not have water tomorrow due to water main replacement.
I think I'll just go to the inlaws. Do not want to deal with 8 hours of pregnancy pee sitting in my toilet since I pee every ten minutes at this point.
