Also my big is doing much better with the rsv. His fever broke Wednesday night and he's still coughing but he's eating normally and playing. He's not having trouble breathing. My parents are bringing him back today. we've lysoled everything so I really hope the little doesn't get it. How long was the worst of it for your little britta?
Nothing going on around here. DS decided he didn't want to go to playgroup this morning, so we went next door and played at Nana and Papas instead. Now he's down for a nap. DH got off early today so I passed the baby off to him. She's currently fighting a nap. I seriously am stressed out by my house. It's so cluttered and DH is dragging his ass on doing the renovations we need. I want to burn the house down and start over.

jwinct, I'm glad your dog is doing well. Also, congrats on the weight loss! I agree that the notation was probably just on there for informational purposes. When we brought G in last, the pedi made a note of his cradle cap, and warned us that his summary sheet would have the medical term for it, which sounds way worse than it actually is. If she hadn't told us that, I probably would have panicked. britta, I hope they're over the stomach bug. I don't blame you one bit for not wanting any other sickness. vavavictoria, I have a feeling I'll be changing over G's wardrobe soon. There is definitely stuff in there he probably won't wear. A lot of this size is hand me downs from N, but still. erien22846, N has made comments like that before (I can't remember what it was exactly), and I told him that anyone can do anything. I hope you have fun at the game! We were actually talking about hair length the other night. We used to be able to let N's hair grow fairly long, but now it gets crazy. N said something about having long hair, and I reminded him that my male cousin, who is a scientist and wicked smart, has had long hair since he graduated from college. saraml13, same with always putting him in the same stuff. I was going to hand down my stuff to my sister (her LO is 8 weeks younger than G), but he's catching up to G size wise already. I won't see her in time for him to be able to use the clothes, most likely. hikingmama222, I hope you all feel better soon! I dealt with a cracked nipple a while back, and it was awful. I can't imagine what a chunk must feel like. I hope it heals quickly for you. @holachica, I hope the appointment went well. That reminds me that I need to see if MH scheduled his and N's next cleanings. I go in March, but they're not due until April or May. macaronmama, please post pics! iwantbacon, hugs. I've gotten to that point, and it is so hard, especially when you don't have anyone close by. I hope you're able to get some rest soon. @kitchen, I love being at home with just the baby. The days when N went to day care and MH was working while I was on maternity leave were the best. adouces06, G woke up with a bit of a cough this morning too. Hope your littles feel better soon. ksyknelvr73, good luck with the interview and the decision. Enjoy your date night! fem, I hope C feels better soon. I also hope O takes the bottle for them. becole, so glad your big guy is feeling better, and hooray for the little guy taking the bottle so well!

G may be starting a cold. Again. He was coughing overnight, and it woke me up super early. He was mad when I dropped him off at day care this morning, probably either because he was asleep in the car or his hat was close to falling over his eyes. The day care posted a pic of him on their FB page, and he looked quite content, so I'm thinking he's having a good day. He went right to his teacher with no issues.
When N got up this morning, he told me he didn't feel good. I asked him what was wrong, and he said he was sad. Then he asked where MH was. When I told him Daddy was at work, he told me he was sad that Daddy wasn't home. He didn't give me any issues at drop off, so I'll take it. Moe's for dinner tonight and hopefully early to bed for everyone.

The elevator in the judges' chambers area broke down yesterday, and the elevator repairman set off the fire alarm twice, once yesterday afternoon and again this morning. I was really hoping that we'd get to leave today since no one would be at my house, but, alas, I'm still here. It was a nice little break though.

iwantbacon It takes a village, for sure. I hope you get some relief soon even if it's just your husband stepping up and letting you nap. I definitely don't take for granted having my parents so close. These early years are exhausting and even a few hours break can be rejuvenating.
becole glad he's feeling better! I'd say the worst we're days 3-5. Apparently RSV peaks between days 4 and 6 on average (instead of days 2-3, like the common cold), so that seems to line up. Was the same when my oldest had it as an infant. That's when he looked the worst, coughed the most, wouldn't eat, etc. He never ran a fever (highest was 100.5) though.
He still has a cough and congestion, but it's more comparable to cold symptoms now.
ETA: The severity at the peak might be different too when we're talking 3 months vs 2 years old. He may be able to clear the secretions and all that better, which is what really made it most miserable for him.
Regarding gender stereotypes- Sesame Street had a really good episode this most recent season. I just looked it up, the episode is titled "Dress Me Up Club."
I somehow missed your post iwantbacon. I'm sorry. Hang in there. These are the times when I don't feel bad that my kids go to daycare 3 days/week and I only work 1. At least I get a break from them for a bit. Where the lack of support gets me is in our marriage. The only "us" time we really get is after the kids go to bed.

I first noticed DS with a cough Sunday, whining Monday night, fever Tuesday- Wednesday night. Now he's coughing but no fever. I'm not sure if day 1 was Sunday or Tuesday.
I'm seriously in love with the Serenity Star. She's put herself to sleep every single time I've put her down for a nap. FFFC: she will only go to sleep if she has my old baby blanket on her. She likes to push it up over her face with her hands. It has holes in it, but once she's asleep I just pull it down off her face and watch her on the monitor.

I'd count the first night as Tuesday since thats when the fever hit.

Judging by his course and when RSV peaks, probably Sunday? Either way it sounds like he's out of the woods.
LOL that @snuff9861 and I both posted at the same time with differing opinions. IME, both my kids didn't get a fever until the peak. (Again though, DS2's "fever" was only 100.5) DS1 had a high fever (over 101-102) at the peak, I think day 4.

I was trying to make sure it wouldn't all the sudden come back tomorrow or something. At least the fever.
I'm alone with just the baby this am! The girls are at school. It's so awesome. We're going to yoga and then getting the house cleaned up.
I plan to develop some sort of media consumption plan because news these days is seriously problematic for my anxiety. I think it will be something like: NPR whenever I want, newspaper when I'm sitting at the table, and Economist/New Yorker when I want to sit for longer and read. So basically, I need to GTFO google news and the clickbait that comes with it.
I need to do this too. I saw something on FB almost 2 weeks ago that messed me up all day. Then they had it on the news again last night. I was able to turn it off before the story came on because they teased it.
A teenage girl filmed her suicide live on FB. All I saw was the words for it and it really messed with me. That we live in an age where that can happen is just so crazy to me. I can't imagine what that young girl must have been feeling in those last moments as she went live. I've been trying to cut back on FB after that. I just can't handle it.

I went to Goodwill and bought 2 new to me pairs of jeans. I'm come to the conclusion my old pants will never fit again and I can't keep wearing maternity jeans. I gave all my maternity tops and 2 nursing bras to my friend an am giving her the maternity jeans the next time I see her. After nap time will be a trip to Wal-mart.

Am the only who still can't wear her wedding rings? I tried this morning and my fingers are still to fat. Our anniversary is on Sunday and I think I'm going to go drop them off to get them sized. I feel so strange without them.

penguin129 I still have days where my rings are too tight. Granted, I've been really slow to lose the weight but I don't remember having this issue for this long before. Most days I just shove them on there anyway.

Did you get the package today???
No and I totally ran to the mailbox as soon as I got home. My package from my parents came though $100 in gift cards.

Hugs to iwantbacon and penguin129, sounds like you guys have been having rough days. Hope you both catch a break over the weekend. Penguin, happy belated birthday (I think I missed it earlier?)!
