Hugs to iwantbacon and penguin129, sounds like you guys have been having rough days. Hope you both catch a break over the weekend. Penguin, happy belated birthday (I think I missed it earlier?)!
2 nights ago, he was up with DS2 for only a half hour from 11-11:30 and got super frustrated with him and the coughing/puking routine. I got out of bed and let him tap out. I was up for another hour and a half feeding him, giving him a breathing treatment, and settling him back down. Last night, he got up with me and changed him while I prepped his bottle. I fully intended to go back to bed, assuming he'd take over from there since, you know, he acted like a child the night before and I was essentially the one up, but he just stood there staring at me waiting for me to sit down. So I did. My parents are here tonight so we got to bed later than usual and he pretty much told me in no uncertain terms that he wasn't getting up tonight. And of course my parents chimed in with, "he had such a long day." Oh. So here I am up with the baby for the third night in a row.
As if that's not bad enough, he's got a case of the man flu. I mean, dude was home for like 3 hours before bed and I probably heard "I'm getting sick, this is awful" 15 times. Oh. You mean you're getting the same cold I've had for 2 weeks while parenting these sick kids essentially myself? Carting them to doctors appointments, getting up in the MOTN, dealing with coughing/puking multiple times a day with no one to tap me out? Please to tell me more about how awful this is for you.
As I'm sitting here stewing, I'm thinking, "That's fine. You can get your ass up when these kids wanna be up for the day at 6:30am." but I know my mom will be like, "It's ok hun. I'll take them. You just go back up to bed." 😡😡😡😡😡
