Sorry to keep this going but curiosity killed the cat I guess. What could a toddler do to another toddler that warrants a hospital? To satisfy curiosity, he hit my DD over the head with a toy hard enough to cause a minor concussion. I took her to the ER because she immediately started vomiting and her eyes looked off to me. (The dilation).
@bruxannie, you asked about the other children- 1 was from daycare (he ripped out chunks of hair and clawed her face badly enough to need 2 stitches in a spot on her cheek -yes I trim his nails- SO's mother does not) and the other was a friend's son- he dislocated his shoulder).
If anyone has any advice or experience other than things along the lines of what a shitty person I am, or get him help ASAP, I would appreciate a pm before my account is deleted. I believe I'm doing everything possible for him at the moment and am awaiting further instructions/appointments with doctors & specialists, so I hardly think the terms irresponsible or medical neglect by me is applicable.
Thank you to everyone who has actually given advice, shared experiences, etc. I sincerely appreciate and am thankful, and have screen shot the relevant posts to read back on when researching/talking to doctors & counselors.
This is very concerning
If you bring a newborn gone and he hits them with a toy that hard the baby will likely not survive that concussion.
I think if he's that out of control he should stay with mil until you get help and evaluation in place to ensure safety.
You say you take your daughter everywhere with you and you sleep with him but that is not going to be possible with s newborn
