We're almost through another week! Nothing special over here this morning. Going for a checkup this afternoon and see if anything is happening. After all these crampy contractions I hope so. What's up today F17?
Going home today! DH just got here, so I'm going to shower and eat before LO comes back from the nursery. Or have DH stop and bring LO to the room. Ready to get discharged and get out of here!

Morning!
I have the worst hemorrhoids I've ever had in my life. I'm in constant pain. They're like... the size of a marble. And there are two of them. It's not the first time I've had hemorrhoids this pregnancy, but they have all gone away after a few days before. I'm worried these won't go away...and I'm also worried about going into labor with hemorrhoids that bad. Can't imagine it'll make pushing fun.
So far nothing is resulting from the membrane sweep. Didn't even have bloody mucus or cramping. My OB's office is calling me today to schedule the induction if I don't go into labor naturally by 41 weeks. As much as I don't want to be induced, there's something very reassuring about knowing, "Ok, it won't go past X date." Makes me feel like I won't be pregnant forever.
Didn't sleep well from lots of back pain and contractions. Doesn't seem to be taking shape of a pattern and is less since the last hour. I'm thinking false alarm again

I'm at work today and my face is pretty much stuck like this:
Our dinner plans were also canceled because my friend has a stomach bug. Poor thing. It's her son's birthday, so we were supposed to meet for pizza. FX she feels better and we can get together this weekend. J is going to be so disappointed.

80% effaced and 1 cm dilated at my appointment this morning. SOMETHING is happening even if it's not much. I was very crampy last night so I had a feeling I'd make some progress.
I have a lot of emotions today. I can't be contained.
This was midnight Shell who got woken up to try to feed a sound asleep baby who is on the verge of losing too much weight who refused to wake up and suck. Midnight Shell then spiraled on the unknown of going home to parent two children.

Just got my lovely GBS swab. For some reason I find that part more embarrassing than pooping on the delivery table. They had a student midwife there who couldn't tell if baby was head down or butt down, so I got poked and prodded a lot. I thought they were going to accidentally push her out! And I got my blood taken to check my platelets - so thankful for this. It will be nice to not have that hanging over my head when I go into labor.
Sadly they didn't offer to check me, so I will just be patient. Sigh.

I had my appointment today at 39+2. Everything is going great- haven't gained weight this entire month which is lovely since I really am at the max I ever want to weigh and about 8 lbs less than I gained with K. With her I was much more swollen--I seem to have only the tiniest amount of swelling after being on my feet all night. And my face looks the same as always- with K I swear my nose grew three sizes and I had a round moon face. So weird.
I'm 2cm/50% "head low". Originally she said "oh I'll be seeing you soon", then she scheduled me for like 2 weeks of appointments and NSTs. Womp womp.
She offered an induction at 40+1 since my cervix is favorable, but I'm opting for an NST and AFI at that time. If all is well and I haven't had her I'd rather not be induced until closer to 41 weeks so she agreed and said we will see how things go with my monitoring and how I'm feeling. I also scheduled an NST for Saturday the 11th and if I haven't had her yet, induction for Sunday 12th evening. So I'd be 40+5 which I'm good with.
She did a membrane sweep too which was pretty painful, which I remembered from last time. And I came home and DH and I had sex. Took my EPO orally, and I also broke out my birthing ball. So here's hoping I get some cramping/contractions and something happens in the next day or two. We will see! I am feeling really positive and hopeful so that's a big change from the past few days.
Last night started the hail Mary of trying to get bottom baby to turn head down. I tried to do the forward-leaning inversion thing, but that is logistically too difficult with a large belly. The best I can do is knees and shoulders or elbows on the floor. No scientific backing that I know of, but it's the only thing that has what seems to me like a semi-reasonable explanation. I'm still planning for the c-section :-(
Lots of commiseration love tits today. Hugs, ladies.
oldbaylover1024, congrats to your H for the raise! Have a great night out
flyinghorses6, your dedication to getting labor started makes me feel like such a slacker. Keeping my fingers crossed it works for you soon and you can avoid the induction!
Little lady keeps freaking me out. She has a pretty low normal heartbeat in there (116 bpm) and it worries me when she has a quiet stretch of minimal activity. Then she has a dance party and I feel better, but the times when she's sleepy are so scary. I just want her out so I can see her and hold her and know she's alright. Constant kick-count watch sucks.

DS2 finally gets to be done with sugar check. Poor guy was so pitiful having his heel stuck every 3 hours. He did great on them, so the pedi said that torture was over for a bit. He's under 6lbs so I understand why they need to check. He's doing great and DS1 was smitten with him yesterday. He was very excited to "hold" his brother. I promise I'll get around to a birth story soon. Maybe when this little guy naps again.

Well, BP was even higher at my Dr appt this morning. So I was sent for more bloodwork and another nst. If I'm reading the monitors correctly it appears my BP is lower now, so that's good. The Dr said multiple times, "I don't know what to do with you because your look Healthy and all bloodwork has been good." The word bedrest was mentioned. I really don't want to be induced yet and bed rest would not be my choice either. I'm way to high energy to be forced to sit around all the time. And DS would also not be happy about it.

I've pry beaten this horse to death but..training time is here again. I'm at peace daily with whenever this baby wants to come, until my trainee arrives. Then good lord I hope my water breaks all over my cubicle so I can get the heck outta here!
Came back to add-I cannot stress enough how crazy it is teaching someone how to save a file. I'm dying inside a little with each task 😐
Be back in a few hours. LT'd a lot of the misery posts to say I feel ya, hope everyone's afternoons are better!

It is sunny and snow flurrying at the same time. Weird!
In other news, it's almost nap time... hopefully my FIL can finish installing DS's door soon.... I don't really want to have to drive around for 45 minutes to ensure he stays asleep. Mama might nap today too...
coffeeonice Ugh in the same boat! She's even sitting at my desk/computer this week so I can't do anything until lunch time I'm so over training. FX we both go into labor soon so we don't have to do this for very long!
oldbaylover1024 Congrats on the raise! Go treat yoself at dinner!!
crazycatlady6 Jealous of your last day of work! Congrats!!
monicageller I had high BP and was put on bed rest with my DD. It was not a fun experience and I wish I had been a little more firm with my wishes vs. just going with the flow. I know it was medically reasonable but I also wish we could have avoided an induction. Hugs. Hopefully it will go down soon!

Super fun times.
And ((hugs)) to you.
My firstborn refused to wake up to eat when he was a newborn, and I had to wake him up every two hours to make him eat because he had weight issues and jaundice :/ it was miserable and I am sorry

OMG, crazycatlady6, Wawa anything sounds so good right now! I had Raisin Bran for breakfast and a salad for lunch, which definitely did not hit the spot.
Maybe tomorrow I need a Wawa coffee and sizzlie for breakfast... Or a pepperoni bagel and side salad for lunch... Or a sub for dinner!
(Can you guys tell I'm reeeealy struggling to eat well the past week or so? LOL)

monicageller - My BP has been elevated this whole pregnancy and it's a pain. FX they can keep monitoring you and you can avoid bed rest.
shellbell, cosmicav - Emotions are running high everywhere! I cried at work this morning because someone was talking about the dog they had to put down 10 years ago. WTF, self?! Pull it together!
coffeeonice, pivot - Sometimes I wish my firm had hired a temporary replacement for me to train. But then I read posts like yours and I think nope. DNW to deal with that BS all day long. FX these folks pick up your procedures quickly and the rest of training is painless!

oldbaylover1024 Before she started I made detailed step by step procedures for literally every task I do (took me months to finish) and I had them printed and ready for her before she started. She does not like to reference these at all. I have to tell her every time to follow my procedures to make sure they make since to her so she can use/understand them while I'm out. So annoyed.

I am the SOP writer around these parts and, in the past week alone, I think I've sent 1,903,487,389,724 emails with links to SOPs instead of answering questions.

"Coworker, (link to SOP) Thanks, OldBayLover"
Which basically means, "I spent eleventy billion hours writing procedures you people don't reference. So here's a handy link to detailed steps to assist you. Do not call me at home after 2/9. Mkay, thanks."

Hooray for no more heelsticks musicallyinclined! B had had his fair share the last couple of weeks for his jaundice and my heart hurt for him every time.
Ugh monicageller - that's a crummy situation. I hope you don't end up on bed rest and that your bp stays low.
Omg I'd have zero patience trying to train someone who doesn't even know how to save a file coffeeonice. You're a saint for dealing with that.
B is up to 8lbs2oz! That's over an oz a day since his check last week, so we're doing awesome nursing-wise.
The pedi was also happy with his progress with the jaundice, so no more heel sticks!! 🎉
I'm currently being napped on since B hates sleeping on anything other than my chest apparently. I took a shower this morning, so I'm feeling decently accomplished lol.
oldbaylover1024 Yea I'm going to have to start doing that too. My patience level is shrinking fast. How come these people have no appreciation for the planners of the office?!
