Ok STMs with 2 kids of the same sex. Please tell me I'm not the only one with significant problems referring to LO2 by the correct name? I am fine when addressing him, but if casually referencing, DS1's name comes out 90% of the time. I get so much side eye from my husband every time.

ashtog, ouch, sorry about baby razor blade mouth. And toddler toothpaste mouth. Never a dull moment, right? I'm going to pretend you didn't mention STTN because it will just make me cry (but I am happy for you, I promise!)

I have 2 boys, 2 male dogs with human names, a male fish, and a boyfriend. And no brain.
I read through and typed a bunch of replies and then tapatalk ate them.
Happy Thursday to all, I hope all the mamas who need them get naps today! Loving the baby wearing and fluff butt babies today. I need to pull out my happy wrap but I'm a little intimidated by wrapping, I much prefer my lillebaby ssc. Ds has not had as successful of a day with eating. He's not been great at latching, or staying latched, and he isn't nursing very well. And he is spitting up so much, so so much. I just know this is the beginning of the end with nursing and I'm worried about finding a formula that works for his little belly.

She spent the last few nights up like every hour to hour and a half, and sttn started at 2am until 6:30.. so really... does it count? Because she was up from 12:30 til 2. I'm taking it because I NEED to believe better sleep is coming.
And yep L is giving me a run for my money today 😂🙄
Also: update on my friends baby- she went home with them yesterday and is still doing great!! I am hoping to get out there to do some beautiful photos for them outside of the hospital setting soon it's amazing, such a miracle. I shared their story on my fb business page and over 1.1k likes - that's like over 1k praying for them I like to think. It's just amazing

So I had all sorts of replies typed out and I think the app ate them?!
Sleepy vibes to all babies for lots of sleep for mamas and babies tonight!!
I'm waiting for the pedi's office to call back. B had a little blood in his poop diaper about 2 hours ago. I've been worried about his belly and his poops but this confirmed that a call to the dr was needed. Now if they will just call me back!!
I put dd down for a nap at 2:20, it is 4 o clock and she is still rolling around and yelling/singing. Who knows what this means for the rest of the day.
I pumped to replace a feed today and gave B a bottle. He sucked it down. I think I'll plan on doing this every other day so he doesn't forget how to take a bottle by the time he goes to daycare at 12 weeks.
With DD we had DH give a bottle first thing every single morning without fail while I pumped starting at 4 weeks. He enjoyed it because he could get a tiny taste of what it's like to have a feeding-bond with LO...this time around DH is like, meh whatevs, as long as he learns to take a bottle, you can do it. ::eye roll:: Everything with #2 seems like less of a big deal and it's a tiny bit sad.
I just went in and checked my work email on my phone (remember, self employed so no real maternity leave). Anyhow, I'd forgotten to put an auto responder up, but did put the birth of baby C up on our company fb page. Had many congratulations waiting in the inbox (wonderful), a few questions that weren't out of the ordinary and easy to answer, which I put at end of my replies "if you have any other questions please feel free to ask, please note there may be a delay in my response due to being on maternity leave."
And then there was one that just from the preview I saved til last. It started with "I have tried twice unsuccessfully to reach you.." And regarded scheduling an event. I finally opened and read it, and after the guy makes a stink about calling and emailing "unsuccessfully," he then offers congratulations on the baby!! If you saw the business post about the baby, you know she is FOUR DAYS OLD at the time of your email.
I didn't even answer it. Nothing i wrote would be good for business.
DD finally fell asleep, DS just had a bottle of 130ml and seemed much more comfortable than he has in weeks. He's had gas and diarrhea since having antibiotics and I changed his formula today to one for digestion troubles, so hopefully it's given him some relief.

Well just talked to the nurse at the pedi's office. She had me text over a picture of the diaper with the blood in it, then talked to one of the doctors. She called back and said hat it's okay and not to change the formula he's on, but if it happens again to bring him in. Not really sure how I feel about that

My friends are saying it should be 4 weeks post c-section to lift more than 15 lbs. And after yesterday that sounds right but it puts a serious wrench in our plans for DH work scheduling the next two weeks.
Can we teach DS to climb into his crib with a step stool, that is the question...
