Weight: 12lb15oz, 25th percentile Height: 25", 75th percentile Head circ: 42cm, 89th percentile Vaccines: Dtap/hib/ipv, pneumococ/conjugate, rotavirus Concerns: none that I can think of Anything I forgot:
She has her appointment early, like two weeks ago. She just turned 4 months on the 1st.
Weight: 17.5 pounds. She is solid. Height: 25.75 inches Vaccines: I can't remember, whatever brims schedule is. Concerns: I asked about her belly button. It still has a tiny bit of tissue in it. I can remember what it's called. Her stump fell off a little too early and needed the be cauterized with that black powder. It's not obvious unless you go digging around her belly button I'm just curious what it will look like as she is older. They checked her eyes with that photo technology that they used on my toddler at 18 mo. I wasn't aware they did it that early!
danizee DS needed the silver nitrate to close his cord stump too. There's still some of his inner belly button skin that is black because of it. Did they say how long it takes to go away?
He said it might never go away! I thought that sounded a little odd, like why wouldn't he just put another application of the silver nitrate on it then? He said it would probably not be visible as she got older. I asked him if it would look weird if she eventually got pregnant and her belly button popped out. I think he thought I was crazy at that point.
Weight: 17 lb 9 oz Height: 24.5 inches Vaccines: All of them? Concerns: None. We were worried about flathead, but it actually isn't that bad.... Other stuff: Milestones are a little weird since she was premature, but doc seems to think she is on track!

4 months today but his appointment isn't until the 22nd. So i took these measurements at home.
Weight: 13.4 lbs (13.6%) Height: 25 inches (50%) Head: 42.5cm (81.6%) Vaccines: on the 22nd Concerns: sleep is still crap since he can't put himself to sleep. Hoping to start working on that this week. Size 2 diapers, 3-6 month clothes
Weight: 16.6 lbs (70%) Height: 26" (79%) Head: 44.5 cm (99%) Vaccines:DTaP-HepB-IPV (Pediarix),DTaP-HepB-IPV (Pediarix),Prevnar 13 Intramuscular Suspension, Rotarix Concerns: His flat head has improved a lot and she's no longer concerned about it. Still in size 2 diapers, but probably not for much longer. He wears size 3 Huggies Overnights (that's the smallest size they come in) and they fit him well. He is in 6-9 month footie pajamas and is starting to need 6-9 month separates. Some of his 3-6 month separates still fit him, but are getting a bit tight/short. So far, he likes carrots, sweet potatoes, pears. bananas, peaches, squash, and prunes. Peas not so much.
He rolled over back to belly for the first time Friday evening! He hates being on his belly, so he was not happy. lol
Weight: 16 lb 8 oz (81%) Height: 27" (99%) Vaccines: PCV, rotavirus, dtap, hib, polio Concerns: None, just recovering from a cold. Anything I forgot: Packing away the last of the 6M clothes and fully into 9M.
Weight: 13lbs 5 oz (29th) Height: 25.98, (95th) Head circ: 16.93 (96th) Vaccines: Dtap/hib/ipv, pneumococ/conjugate, rotavirus Concerns: None Anything I forgot: My friend's baby is a whole lb heavier but an inch shorter and wears 6-12 months. DD still rocks 0-3 though they are getting tight. Babies are weird.
DS2 was 4 months yesterday (2/14) and had his check up today (2/15)
Weight: 15lbs 6oz (50th) Height: 25" (45th) Head: 17.25" (97th) Vaccines: DTap, Hib, Hep B, Polio, PCV13, and oral Rotavirus Concerns: The tear duct in his right eye is still blocked and constantly drains. Pediatrician wants to hold out closer to 9 months to consult Peds Opthomology because he'll need general anesthesia for the surgery. We'd rather wait till he's older for that, as it's not an immediate concern. We can tell when he has good GERD days and bad, so continuing the Prilosec for now. He has some spots of seborrheic dermatitis on his scalp, similar to what DS1 gets, so we got the ok to use Selsun Blue shampoo once per week and the steroid cream DS1 has for it. Anything I forgot: 6/6-9 month clothes, moved into size 3 diapers this week. Pedi said it's ok to start solids, but there was no need to rush. We will wait another month at least.
Weight: 17 lbs. 7 oz Height: 25.75 in. Vaccines: all of them Concerns: nope Anything I forgot: like @kitchen, DS's head is large and I shouldn't have bought clothes on sale last year because all of the 9 month clothing I bought is summer stuff
Weight: 16 lbs 12 oz 92% Height: 26.5 in >99% Head 42 cm 89% Vaccines: pentacle, prevnar, rotateq Concerns: talked about feeding and sleeping, zoloft while breastfeeding, supplementing with formula, starting solids Anything I forgot: LO found her feet recently, started doing real laughs, and blowing raspberries. All in all very fun stuff right now.

Weight: 15lb14oz (68%) Height: 25.75in (75%) Vaccines: All. Concerns: DS has baby eczema, mostly on his arms and chest area. Doctor said to get some Eucerin and rub it in 3x day. Got the low-down on starting solids, loose stools in the morning are par for the course when BFing.
Anything I forgot: DS finally started using the 4mo+ bottle nipples, which is a relief cause now he can take a bottle faster. Starting to roll up onto his sides more consistently. Just wish we didn't have to deal with 4mo sleep regression. Finally gonna ask DH to step in for one of the night feeds.

I learned my lesson with stocking up on sale clothes in advanced, especially bottoms. DS1 is so skinny and was never in his 18 month shorts this past summer. He just turned 2 in Decembee and will probably barely fit them this spring. 😩 His waist is so skinny. You just never know how they'll turn out.
DS1 was 2.5 last summer and actually wore his 18 month shorts from the summer before. Skinny waist plus no more diaper. This summer he can probably get away with 2T shorts. No so with pants, he needs the length of his regular size, but with shorts it's different obviously.

And don't you back down if he gives push back! They're really good at listing off all the things they do so be ready to fire back.

Same here. DS will be 3 this summer and is still rocking 18-24 month pants. Even with a cloth diaper on. He's tall enough for 2T pants, but his waist is so damn skinny they fall down on him.
Last summer he was wearing 12 month shorts and rompers.

Yes'm. I did warn him about a month ago that as soon as we lean into more and more bottles, I'd be asking him to help at night.

I like longer shorts just as more protection against the sun (okay, really so I have one less area to be paranoid that I covered well enough with sunscreen).
She gave us the OK to let him cry it out a bit if he's not actually hungry (yay!) and to start solids (no thanks). Also recommended increasing the number of times we lotion him a day. On adding formula in the mix, she suggested straight formula in a bottle instead of a mix just to keep the tastes separate which I thought was interesting. Would also be a whole lot easier to make 1-2 formula bottles then KOKO with whatever I'm able to pump.

Weight: 13 lb 11 oz (39%) Height: 25.5 in (88%) Head: 40.4 cm (43%)
Vaccines: I was cleaning poop out of my toddlers underwear during this part of the visit so H was hanging with the baby. So whatever was scheduled was given.
Concerns/issues: her flat spot is drastically improved (go daycare!) and she can have selsun blue twice a week for her cradle cap. Other than that good to go.
The pedi suggested I try to go from 4 3.5 oz at daycare to three larger bottles. What do y'all think about that? As someone who has had to keep up with a kid that ate 4 7oz bottles it makes me nervous to increase the amount.
DS Weight: 15 lb 10 ounces (50) Height 25.75 in (63) Head 75% 16ish inches I think
Normal vaccines, no concerns.
I was surprised he isn't higher in percentiles for how large he looks compared to other babies and how heavy he feels and people call him chubby or chunk. Must be all the cheeks, Idk.
vavavictoria why does the pedi want larger bottles more spread out? I would need strong reasoning behind changing something that's working just fine. The breast isn't going to produce a huge amount so to keep babe from getting frustrated when he's with me, I send bottles close to the size I'm able to pump.

becole she said that babies are typically eating 5-6 oz bottles at this point and it will help her sleep more at night. I'm not so sure about that.
C is eating every two hours pretty much on the dot at daycare. I'll have to pay more attention this weekend to see how often she eats when it's from the boob. It kind of varies depending on what we get up to and how long she spends in the car.
I kind of feel like C is already a bit frustrated with the flow from my boobs since she does a lot of head shaking and cranky noise making during her evening feedings. I'm wondering if it's bc bottle feeding is easier than boobs or what.
I think an LC would disagree 100% with your pedi. they don't get much training on breastfeeding. If you read the article on Kelly mom about bottle feeding, it says 2-3 ounces is the norm. I'm using 4 ounce bottles. Nothing will make them sleep better right now. Well maybe CIO or Ferber but not food. Also with breast milk- it changes over time. It gets fattier and more calorie dense- that's why they don't need more.
And yes my baby is having a little frustration with Bf too- I think mainly because he can't look around and wants to see what's going on. It's all just a normal part of BF. I keep the bottles small, the flow slow, and delay solids to 6 months. It just all depends on what your goals are. Formula or bigger bottles didn't help my first sleep. It doesn't make a difference with this baby either. He wakes because of his brains sleep cycles, not because of what he ate that day. Much like adults.

Agree 100%
I've noticed a difference in the last week since we've had to ration our breastmilk supply more. She's eating bigger bottles and more oz/day then she was when we were doing 50/50.
I forgot to do this last week. Weight: 14lb exactly (37th) Height: 26in (92nd) Head: 63rd percentile Normal vaccines.
She had dropped from 63rd to 41st percentile in weight between her 1 and 2 month checks so I was glad that she didn't drop a lot more, even being sick the last few weeks.

I'm with you on this and glad to hear some validation of what I was thinking. I tend to avoid sleep discussion with my pedi (she suggested CIO for both my kids at 8 weeks old) so I had just told her C slept for 9 hours straight last night and she then brought up increasing the amount to help her sleep more. 9 hours seemed pretty good to me. I also did super slow flow with #1 and have no desire to start solids yet. Thanks

vavavictoria, my pedi told me to try bigger bottles as well to help sleep through the night but I think I am going to go back to smaller bottles. If anything, he's sleeping worse. And, as becole said, it's so hard to keep up with nursing when we're at home if he's taking 6oz bottles the rest of the day.
