K has been up since 6:30 and I've got bacon in the oven.
My sister is still asleep, and DH had already left for work before we got up. This week has been awful with his schedule. I saw him for about 15 minutes on Thursday after my appointment, and that's it for the whole week. I know he has a lot to do for work before the baby comes, but at the same time I really want him home spending time with K and me before the baby comes. Plus I feel like he is going to be exhausted by the time she comes- and he's going to be useless. He's working about 14-15 hour days.
No signs of labor, no contractions, nothing for about a day now. Going to spend today cleaning the floors and bathrooms after breakfast and once my sister gets up.
flyinghorses6 my dh's schedule has also been nuts. Last weekend he worked 20+ hours between Friday 8pm and Sunday morning. I did not handle it well and said some things I now regret. I hope his work day isn't too long and you can get son time together.
Add me to the overworked husband club. Luckily all of his overtime work he does from home but I'm not sure if that's better or worse because DD's trying to play but he has to be at his computer 😕 Hugs to you ladies flyinghorses6shellbell Hopefully things calm down a bit with the work schedules!
DD and I are laying in my bed watching Peppa Pig. I suppose I'll get up and make some breakfast soon. I'm going to treat myself to a pedicure and manicure today and go get my car detailed. Gotta make sure we're all shinned up for when baby decides to come! 😄

Yes, my husband has been working (both for actual work and doing projects around the house) a ton as well. I wonder if it's his version of nesting... lol.
And he just informed me that he has to go out of town from next Wednesday to Friday. 😑 I told him I'm calling him the moment contractions start, if they were to start while he was away. He'll be 2 hours away, so not a huge deal, but the "what ifs" are not comforting. My FIL told me he'd take me to the hospital if I needed him to, and I was like... um, thanks, but that seems awkward. I think I'll see if my dad is willing to be on stand by. I'd rather my own dad see me in that state than my FIL...
My H has also been working a lot. This is supposed to be an easy month but his boss wants all his stuff done now in case the baby comes early. I'm over it.
My ankles made an appearance this morning. I'm sitting with them up and drinking lots of water today to see if I can keep them around. Otherwise my shoes won't fit. I can't wear flip flops in this weather body! Get it together! I'm getting my hair colored at noon so I'm excited for that too
My H has bee working a ton as well. He was going to be off today, but a colleague asked if she could have it off, he told her he'd cover only if no baby showed up. Well, still nothing on this end, so he's gone to work.
flyinghorses6 sorry things have quieted down on the labor front.
pivot enjoy the mani pedi, that sounds nice and relaxing

DS was up several times last night. I'm not sure what his deal is, but I hope he snaps out of it before baby comes. I mean, I told H that he is taking over Forrest nigh-waking duty when baby arrives, but I know I'll still wake up if F does.
I have a few errands to run, but have to wait because my MIL and H's nana "might" be coming by, and we don't know what time that might be.
Otherwise, I'm going to make some chicken pot pies for the freezer, and catch up on my chores. Oh - and I'm going to start crocheting baby girl's blanket. Which I haven't even started yet. Poor second child - I was done with DS's by now 😬

DS2 was a dream last night. I actually should have woken him up more to eat. So different from DS1. We are headed to the hospital for a bili check soon and then to pick up a cake for DS1's birthday. My sweet boy is 2!!!

Add DH to the overworked DH club. He just left for work and will be home around dinner time. He's trying to get as much done before baby comes and I understand that but I miss him!
Weekend plans include hanging stuff up in the nursery, cleaning, come up with master list of things I need to make some meals, upload pictures onto the cloud since my memory is full on my phone. Lunch with co-workers tomorrow since DH is working again.

Sorry everyone's Hs are working so much. MH has checked out at work and doesn't seem to care anymore LOL. Of course he gets a ton of time off so his office has been prepping for his time out for weeks already. It's such a blessing. With J he was working 60+ hours/week before and after she was born. It sucked.
I'm so tired today. We're trying to figure out what to do this afternoon. I selfishly want to go to the outlets or the mall and get myself something for my bday. But realistically that would be awful for J so we'll probably go to Target and out to dinner instead.
FFSC: I would love a mani pedi, but my feet look awful and I'm too embarrassed to expose them to anyone [hangs head in shame]. Maybe I'll cave if baby hasn't shown by Wednesday. I'll need a brow/lip/chin wax by then anyway... May as well fix all my issues LOL

This was my pedi got day before my induction. I didn't want to do a full pedi so just asked for girl to repaint and gave her free reign on design. Super cute!
Too many ladies here to tag- sorry DHs schedules are crazy! Hope the crazy dies down soon/once babes are here!
I was sleeping with Miss O in a recliner in our basement and DH let LO1 come down to quietly play. I remember her touching my face and feet. Well my mom comes down because mister G is fussing. She takes a look at me and laughs....yepp LO1 "put makeup on momma" with a black crayon. And clolored her kitchen/dollhouse/tea set my dad made for her. Guess she was too quiet....REALLY hopes this comes off my face since we have a photographer coming in 2 hrs to take newborn pics!!!

Weather is dreary here. My H is apparently having trouble with the concept of me resting. A friend suggested going to lunch and I had to remind him I'm supposed to stay home and rest. Then he schedules lunch with his family at his sister's tomorrow and tells me it's gonna be just like I was at home resting. Yeah OK.
I also had to remind him to get off the couch and make lunch for us.
I want to get a manicure but I don't know if I should because, you know, supposed to be resting and all.

I am kind of craving steakhouse steak. I wonder if H would want to go tonight. Maybe if I get all the things crossed off my list I will ask for a reward... haha!
billybumbler, I hope resting goes ok. I'm sure MH would be driving me batty doing things on his own time schedule!
The last time my nails were painted was when I was 35 weeks pregnant with DS lol...so April 2015. I've never had a pedicure. I imagine a salon person would cry if I asked lol. It's not pretty

Sorry to everyone whose DH is working tons.
I'm on bedrest for the weekend and have an appointment at the hospital for Monday morning for monitoring and they will reevaluate. I've never looked forward to Monday morning so much, even though I'm not anticipating the bedrest order to change. At least it will get me out the house. I am not cut out for bed rest. I have had very little aches and pains due to pregnancy and have felt really good. I've been on bed rest for 20 hours and my body hurts from not moving.
SIL is having our neice's 1st bday party at our house today. It's really weird to be sitting here while MIL and SIL are cleaning my house and setting stuff up. But at least I have a majority of the day to be distracted and not too bored sitting around.

Laying in bed listening to the kids watch TV through the monitor. I should get up soon. We have to clean the house today because the ILs are coming for supper tonight.
Next week I have a bunch of appointments for the kids and I, another kindergarten info night for DD1, plus yesterday's weather was too bad to make it to the hospital for the tour so I'm back to being ok if baby stays in another week. Too much going on. My list felt basically accomplished and now it's filled up again.
Although yesterday s/he was so active I felt sea sick all day so that was a gtfo day. Baby just needs to get back down to head engaged and stay there.
Good morning, all! I can totally relate to the long work hours for H. They've been short staffed for a few weeks and then just this past Tuesday, the night manager was hospitalized until further notice (she's diabetic and they can't get her blood sugar under control). So, that means H is working close to 15hr days right now and it's brutal.
A's birthday went really well and the tiramisu trifle is awesome! There's so much left over since a little goes a long way, but it's delicious. Next time, though, I need to remember to go a tad lighter on the coffee on the bottom layer- it was a bit more saturated than I would have liked.
My back is killing me. I really need to find some kind of battery pack for my heating pad so I can just strap it around me and go about my business.
My belly button popped all the way out today so what little self esteem I had left about my pregnant belly is now officially gone. I am not wearing it well lol

During DS2's heelstick this morning he managed to poop and pee through his diaper and outfit. Apparently the newborn diapers we have at home are too big so we had to go buy some smaller ones. Also stopped by Target to get DS1 a birthday present since we totally forgot to get him one before the baby came. Now back at home enjoying a chilly but sunny day.
ls2012 could you use those ThermaCare stick on heat packs? I used to use them.
I've tried those, but I find they don't give as much relief as I need nor last as long as I need them to. They're not terrible in a moment of desperation, though. I just find that I'd much rather be lazy.SaveSave

Well, it's official. Everyone in my house is on edge. My parents wanted to come over today, which annoyed me - I already told them we didn't want visitors this weekend. MH is annoyed they even asked. J is off the chain and acting crazy! MH is on a cleaning rampage so I feel obligated to help. J's fighting the nap...
Calgon, take me away!
At least the house will be spotless by day's end so we won't have to worry about it this week. And we're going to Friendly's for dinner, mainly so I can get a Reese's pieces Sunday.

Are balms safe during pregnancy, like something you can rub on your skin?

Girl, you need to "organize something in my closet" and do some online shopping since you're not getting to the mall.
