So my MIL is here cooking up a storm, and I'm so grateful for that, but I think she's too conservative and uncomfortable with my open boob policy right now. MH wants me to go lay on the couch since she's here, but baby needs to eat and I'm pretty comfortable in my bedroom.
ETA: I did just wake up from a decent nap, so I'm not likely to go back to sleep right away, but I can fake it
pibblemom I just fed dd in front of fil for the first real time! I wasn't confident enough to do it with ds in front of male family members but this time idgaf.

I just ate 3 granola bars, 2 pieces of pizza and a snack pack of Nutella and breadsticks. And am still hungry but sleeping baby on me, sleeping toddler next to me.
Also my kid doesn't nap anymore, certainly not by choice, so I'm pretty sure he's sick. At least we got to play outside in the snow this morning.
But now the power is out. I guess there's nothing left for me to do besides also nap...
pibblemom I was thinking of doing a joint party since it would be the same people. I just don't want to make the day super long for DD1 and I also don't want to make it about the baby on her bday.
judyblume14 I think it is, I've yet to call the church to confirm!
I tagged myself in that response..clearly I need more sleep!
DDs very first poosplosion tells me huggies are not the brand for us. She had a pee through in them yesterday before I saw the leg gussets, but this was nothing worse than she put pampers through and it got everywhere. Working our way through the shower diapers
B has been fussy all afternoon/evening. He hasn't slept longer than 10 minutes since 1:10pm. I finally got him down into an actual sleep at 7pm. I'm wondering if it was a growth spurt. At any rate I'm gearing up for a crappy night. Set my expectations low, right?
On top of that, DH decided to come home from the inlaws with DD instead of spending another night. He didn't get DD down for a nap, so of course she was a mess when she got home and threw a tantrum about getting in bed. DH also then proceeded to make a mess in my clean kitchen while making a snack. Le sigh.

Nooooooo my mil just brought over a huge box of newborn huggies even though she knows I prefer pampers for this stage and use them at the Shore so she's familiar with the box etc. I'm not going to complain too much about free diapers though, especially since dd is way smaller than ds and it will probably be forever until she fits in the cloth.

Still no power! I did have a nap though.
Basically our choices for dinner are peanut butter or tuna... Although if we're desperate we could go out to the RV I guess ETA the RV has propane and solar power.
ellabee C has barely slept all day either, a couple little 30 min naps before waking up screaming. I'm hoping she'll be so tired she'll sleep good tonight, I guess I'm setting my expectations too high!

My kids usually take a synchronized nap from 2-4 ish. Did they do that today when I'm solo and desperately need a nap myself? Of course not. I managed to get 30 minutes before N started screaming.

Hate to tell you, C has a skinny butt and legs, pampers are a smidge big on her, huggies she swam in. Will save them for the end of nb stage
vlagroupie, the meds made a huge difference with DS1, so while it took a little while for him to get used to taking them it was definately worth it. It must be miserable for them!
Thanks. I'm just frustrated that I didn't get meds or answers at her 1 mo appt on Friday. I mentioned about it but I hadn't done enough research to feel confident in pushing the pedi about it. She only said that I need to try holding her upright after feeding for 15 mins. That just wasn't helping today, it seems worse than previous days.
Yeah, I've been holding him upright for 20+min after feeding and he seems fine. Then I lay him down and he's so uncomfortable. I just don't think it's enough to help. I hope your Dr will listen to your concerns.
Our friends just left. I did not sneak in a nap but did have a very slaving afternoon. DH won't be home for DS1's bedtime which usually coincides with DS2's pre bedtime cluster feed. DS1 is pretty tired after playing hard do I'm wondering if I can try and get him into bed an hour early. I really want a stress free early night too...

DS1 is asleep before 11 for the first time in two weeks. The amoxicillin is finally out of his system and the hyperactivity that went with it. Hoping to get back to normal for bed times soon.
Pretty sure we're dealing with this. LO rarely spits up but is clearly uncomfortable after feeding and especially if on his back. I can see him kind of burp/bring something up grimace and swallow then he cries a little. Essentially they get the burn twice If this is what he has it can last months so I'm planning to call the pedi on Monday to see if she'll prescribe meds. I think she willas I mentioned this last week. If there's no improvement in a few weeks I'll stop them. DS1 had bad reflux with spit up until about 8mo so I'm pretty sure this is the same thing just less messy.
Ugh I don't think I can deal for months. I really think she has it. She does the swallowing thing and seems so uncomfortable after eating and will cry when she's been flat. She's been sleeping in the rnp there is no way she could sleep in the bassinet right now without crying I think I will call the pedi on Monday too.
DS had silent reflux. The meds were life changing. He cried so much until he got on the right medication. Besides the crying and "I just swallowed puke face," he also wanted to nurse all the time (milk was soothing the acid burn), had a dairy intolerance (common in reflux babies) and basically never napped. Definitely call the pedi and ask!
bazingaweeklyplanner I actually gave in and went to our children's hospital urgent care. I figured if she has silent reflux then maybe I could get medicine sooner. They basically said babies have fussy periods and didn't give us anything. Bc she doesn't arch her back and is still gaining and has wet diapers they weren't worried. She's been nursing like crap all day, pulling off and crying. Finally gave in this evening and gave her a bottle. She still seemed so uncomfortable taking the bottle. Then she cried almost non-stop for several hours. I'll probably still call pedi on Monday if it doesn't get better. Or I'm really fearing that she has colic. I'm feeling so down right now, i know it will get better but damn today has been rough. Thank god we finally got her down, fx she sleeps ok since she barely napped all day.

What meds did you get? And how did they diagnose it?
