Thought I'd start since I've been up all hours of this morning already. This is definitely feeling like a Monday. Hope everyone else is having an decent start to the week.
I got Bub to DC, really easy drop off, and was only a couple minutes late for work. Luckily I don't teach first block today. I'll just have to do a little better tomorrow.
I'm pumping. Trying to play with times to get the most milk. Early pumps are usually better. G nursed all weekend long, I have a hickey from where he missed one time! Ouch. We went to a friends to watch the Super Bowl- they have a 3.5 and 2 yo. They were all in the basement for 5 seconds and the mom goes down and the 2 yo had gotten an ink cartridge out of some drawer and had it all over himself and C was touching t too. We just threw his clothes away. Luckily they only got it on themselves and were caught quickly.

Happy birthday bazingaa! And FX you have a safe flight and the week goes by quickly.
I'm just working today... Not much to add. I found out the new baby I'll be watching uses cloth diapers and she asked if that's ok. It is, but I don't have much experience with them. So it'll be a new experience for me. So if I have any questions, you CD mamas might have to assist me. Lol
@ becole probably in the next month. I still have some studying and memorization to do, and now I'm busy getting ready for my next project at work so I'm not studying as much as I need to
bazingaa Happy birthday and hope you're feeling a bit better! babylove518 I've totally got you! They definitely need changed every 2 hours max and then the key is getting a good fit. I can send a video your way.
Thanks guys. On my way to the hotel now. I'm tired. I tried to hide my birthday on FB last week. That apparently didn't work. Now my coworkers know about it. I wanted to avoid the weird birthday thing.

I need opinions. We have a guy the realtor recommended who paints and does carpet... He quoted us $2300 to do 3 bedrooms of carpet, paint 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a hall. Worth it, or do it ourselves? We priced out some carpet at home depot and it came to $600ish (installed. We just have to tear up the old). So we're talking about over 1k savings if we just paint ourselves. Worth it or no?

$600 for 3 bedrooms of carpet sounds insanely low to me. I was going to say $2300 sounds like an awesome price for all of that. But if it was actually $1000 of savings, I'd probably try to do it myself.

This. There's nothing to painting bedrooms. And $600 for installed carpet sounds amazing. Saving the $1k.
My only thought is to paint before you install carpet and keep touch up paint in case they knick anything while installing carpet. Also- buy a good carpet pad. Makes all the difference.

Yeah it was remnants carpet, so that's why it was so cheap. 2 bedrooms are 10x10 and the other is 10x13, so fairly small rooms. It was stainmaster carpet. I didn't consider the pad... We just went with the basic one they showed us. I don't need it to be anything amazing, just need it to look and feel nice for showings.

Yeah, I would go with whatever is cheapest if you're just installing it to sell. Definitely paint before you do the carpet, and then you don't even have to mess with drop cloths. If you have the time/energy to do the painting yourself I think it's worth it.

Yeah, we can paint ourselves, I just hate it. DH said he thinks the guy would charge $1025 for just the paint, which I think is better. DH will also be gone the weekend of the 18th, so that's one less weekend we would have to work on it. I'm thinking it may be worth $1,000 to have him do all the painting, then we can do carpet through HD. We would still be saving $600-700.

That sounds like a great deal!! Material included right ?
I would much rather a buyer include a carpet allowance where I can pick my own quality and color than for it to be done. But I know a lot of people want move in ready. I would pay $1000 for the paint. Typically it's not much more to add even more rooms either. I'll probably get a quote for whole house painting when we sell since I've got every room a different color.

Yeah, that's a lot of painting and bathrooms suck so much. I'm not even you could get it done in a weekend. So if it makes the difference in getting your house listed when you want to, I'd go ahead and pay someone.

I agree, I'd rather have a carpet allowance, but our current carpet is pretty terrible, thanks to my cats. There are spots where it's tore up to the pad (if we leave a door shut my asshole cats freak out and think they need in that room. So leading into our master bath is tore up as well as our closet. And a couple spots in the other rooms). And I just know that won't look good in pics and for showings, so I figured we better just replace.

If they offered a carpet allowance they're not going to get away with $600.
