Well I didn't do day 25 yesterday. It was the first time I've messed up. I did it today though and I will just work through the rest day to catch up for next week.
I also did a DR abs workout. Still not totally sure if I have it but I figure it can't hurt to do those exercises anyway. I have a solid 2 finger gap that I can feel pretty clearly but I've read 1-2 fingers is normal?
I'm getting really nervous for the next weigh in and measurements. Some days I feel like I'm making progress but other days I feel just as fat as ever.
Also doesn't help that I'm pretty sure my thyroid levels are off again. I have low thyroid production and was supposed to get it rechecked about 3 months after I had DS2. Well he's 5 months old now and they keep rescheduling my appointments so I'm currently looking at being seen late next month. Ugh. I'm so exhausted every day it's miserable.
Sorry for the rant today. Keep up the good work ladies!
Im going to add to the YAY US club! I can't believe we are almost a month in. When I joined this I was imagining the same, I'll get the first couple posts in and forget, or give up. But I look forward to checking in every day and seeing how everyone else did too. I also almost gave up my monthly 30 day local challenge group after doing the first two weeks of BBM thinking, I do not have it in me to do both every day, and I really want to commit to BBM. But here I am, still on track with both challenges. Having daily support is HUGE.
Plus today I was getting DS settled in his room for quiet time, and said I need to go out your sister down for her nap now and then mom gets her quiet time. And he replied "yea you have to get your exercises done!" I'm feeling glad that he is seeing this is important to me and it's also cool to realize my kids are recognizing this is part of the daily routine now.
tiffbot My daughter checks on me too. I like to do it in the morning while she is at preschool, and she gets upset that she doesn't get to do it with me. She doesn't have school on Wednesdays, so she says it's not fair she only gets to exercise with me 2 days! Ha! And she doesn't like strength days as much because I won't let her use my weights (duh), so she really only likes cardio days.
The other day at school dismissal, the teacher came out and gave her usual daily recap, which often includes something funny one of the kids have said, but she doesn't say who it was. The parents will often shout out when they know it was their kid though and then she'll confirm it. She said they learned the word 'it' the previous day, so that day they added on and learned sit, bit, fit etc. She said "and someone told me allllll about how her mommy is exercising to be strong and healthy (when they talked about fit) and that her mommy exercises everyday except for Sunday, because that's her rest day." 😂😂😂 I was so proud of her and myself and laughed so hard.
@leatherpants My 20 month old definitely doesn't get it. He does know that the word exercise means he gets to watch Mickey Mouse on the iPad though, so as soon as I say it, he goes running to the shelf and pointing at the iPad. Then he tries to walk around with the iPad and repeatedly drop it on me while I'm trying to work out. The crab walk was his favorite; I was like a walking table for him!

Well this made me a bit teary-eyed. She's so proud of her mommy!!
I am tall and pear-shaped. I hold a lot of fluff in my thighs and hips which are already wide just from bone structure. So it's nice to see those inches go down a little.
I love these stories about the kids getting it and getting involved. I so desperately want my kid to get it but he's not quite 3 yet and he just cries when he sees me exercise. I try not to take it personally.
My almost 3 year old likes to lay under my while I'm doing burpees. He thinks it hilarious to try and break my neck.

Your kid sound like mine. I normally try to work out when she's napping. So far she has tried to climb under me when I try to plank or do push ups, and lay on top of me during a crab walk.
Day 27 is done!! Not sure if it's just me but I can't help but uncontrollably smile while skipping 😂
See you all in week 5!!! Holy fit test soon!
ETA finished today's local challenge too and for the first time since BBM started both challenge groups have a day off tomorrow!! Wahoo, done for the weekend!
I just did day 25 and 26, I have been slacking, I lost some motivation, ate horribly, was snowed in (really lame excuse) you name it. Avoided this thread then decided there was no way I was quitting, so I need to do tonight's exercise tomorrow so I can be officially caught up, you birches are stuck with me.
@rocknrollfriend Glad you mentioned that. I assumed fit test was Monday too, but I see now that it's not. I wonder what Monday will be since Wednesday the whole program will change.
Ugh well now I'm a day behind again unless I magically get the motivation to do day 26 today. I'll have to double up tomorow I guess.
So I'm way past discouraged pretty much into being downright depressed. I've been feeling like I'm gaining weight and I figured I'm already discouraged so I weighed and did a few of the measurements I gained 5lbs and measurements have gone up.
I'm just at a loss here. My body sucks so much. I haven't been eating perfect but I've been eating better than I was. I've been working so hard with the workouts and now I weigh more than I did when I started.
lenny1316 step off the scale!!! Put it in a cabinet. Lock it up. Do whatever you need to - DONT LET THE NUMBER MESS WITH YOU!! You are not a number. You are putting in the effort, not the scale. Healthy is your goal. The rest will come. And seriously, get off the scale. I've been tempted soooo many times, but I'm sticking with her every 2 weeks motto.

lenny1316, I'm so sorry you're feeling so discouraged. I know how frustrating that is.
I'm wondering if you've ever had your thyroid levels checked? I'm asking because shortly after I got married back in 2011 I noticed that I started gaining weight. I was eating well and working out 2 hours a day 5 days a week, and still gaining weight fairly rapidly. After about 6 months I finally went to the doctor (I actually went because of the extreme fatigue I was experiencing) and was diagnosed with hypothyroidism.
I don't know if any of this helpful for you, but I thought I'd mention it just in case.

Thank you for mentioning this. You are actually spot on and I do have a diagnosed thyroid issue. I have been under control though with meds but I haven't been checked recently because my doctor keeps moving my appointments.
I know the thyroid issue could be the cause here but I have a hard time allowing myself to acknowledge it I guess because I feel like I'm giving myself an excuse or something. That's probably silly I know. It's so hard when I don't even know for sure whether that's the culprit this time though. My doctors office needs to get their shit together and stop cancelling appointments.
junch817 I know I shouldn't have stepped on the scale. It's crazy how that number can mess with your mind so much.
@rocknrollfriend I definitely feel stronger but I feel tired and bloated and just as fat as ever. The tiredness could be explained if my thyroid levels are off again. So could the weight gain if that is the case but I won't know what's up with my thyroid til late march. I really don't know about my sodium but I've started drinking more water lately.
Thank you all for the support I really needed it tonight. Hopefully I will get over my pity party quickly and be more positive in week 5.
lenny1316 I'm so sorry you're feeling so discouraged right now. I hope that the Dr sees you and doesn't reschedule the appointment again so you can check on your thyroid and health. Hopefully it's something easily fixed and you can start seeing better results. Big ::hugs:: to you.
I did yesterday's workout but I didn't have time to post. We had a family day then dh took me out to dinner. It was a great day and night. I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend and rest day, ready to hit it again tomorrow!
