I went to bed at the end of the third quarter. I understand NE came back to win it. That's dumb. Luke Bryan killed the National Anthem, Lady Gaga put on a helluva show, I need an Audi (much to MH's dismay), and Snoop/Martha Stewart/Bill Nye all in the same commercial break killed me dead. Thats my takeaway.
I have an interview with the practice manager for the Clinical Nurse position today at 1:30. I'm calmly panicking. I haven't had a legit interview in about 4ish years and I'm about 3.5 months PP with nothing that fits well. I think I'm going to end up wearing a dress. Is that ok? I bought it to wear to a work conference, so I think it's appropriate. Otherwise, my dress slacks fit....ish. I can button them but the muffin top is outrageous. I do have a couple loose fitting blouses I could wear that might help hide it...but then I think I might be self conscious the whole time thinking about it. WWO16D?
Also, I did a little research on common interview questions and have been rehearsing my answers in my head. "Why should we hire you?", strengths/weaknesses, "Tell me about yourself"....what else? Who has interviewed lately? becoleadouces06...help a sista out!! I feel like some of it is field-dependent, but any little bit helps I think.
I'm glad I stayed up for the rest of the game! What a comeback!! We're waiting at the doctors. LO has labial adhesions I noticed this weekend. Awesome. Also I started zoloft today. I've tried so hard and so many things to feel better and be less of a raging B. I really, really hope this lifts the negativity I feel like I've been consumed by. Multiple things going on have just led me in this direction, so I think I need to give it a try. Hope everyone is revmcovering ok from super bowl!

britta good luck with the interview! No real advice since my last one was for an internal position and 5 years ago. I found out I was pregnant with DD the day before and burst into tears in the middle of it. I obviously didn't get the position. Haha
Both kids are still sleeping. Had a nice quiet breakfast and drank my tea hot for a change.
Snowmaggedon happened here over the last 2 days so not leaving the house until DD goes to preschool this afternoon. It's also freezing!

My interview consisted of giving very specific examples of things that we do here. So like "tell me about an example where you assisted a person in x" or "had a case about xyz law". So mine was like a knowledge check. I was glad I anticipated because I went back through and found an example for each type of thing we deal with and recited a response. Also why do you want this job? And also have something to say at the end if they say "is there anything else you want to tell us/ say" - have this prepared in advance- this is basically your biggest asset- repeated even if need be. Don't let them forget what they'll be missing if they go with someone else.
I agree; the day after the Super Bowl should either be a holiday, or the game should be held on Saturday. I am exhausted but in a great mood today after that crazy comeback. I actually missed the touchdown that tied the game because I was in consoling N. He was complaining that his ear hurt, but refused to take anything. He eventually calmed down and went to sleep, and woke up feeling fine. I told him that I had good news about the Patriots winning, and he asked me what the bad news was. I should have told him that the bad news was they would have to go to the White House to meet the president, but I decided against it.
I think a dress and a blazer or nice sweater would work for the interview, britta. Good luck!
sanibel21, hugs to you. It took a few days, but Zoloft definitely helped me. I hope it will help you too.
MH took G for his follow-up, and everything is cleared up. We just have to finish the antibiotics. I figured he was feeling better because he slept from 10:00 or so until after I left for work this morning. With the congestion, he'd been waking up overnight at least once.
We have an appointment for N right after G's 4 month appointment next Monday to talk about the behavior issues we've been having with him. Yesterday was awful, and I was ready to tap out by the time MH got home from work. At 8:00AM. I hope it will be the start to figuring out if anything is going on, since the school district's evaluation did not show anything.
I've worn scrubs for the last 13 years. Even my stint in leadership was more Clinical focused, so I wore scrubs about 3-4 days/week. I have a nice sweater I can wear?
Also, I'm kicking myself because she (the practice manager) offered to do a phone interview with me (since she already knows me), but I declined because I didn't want to be treated differently, you know?
Now I'm like, "Frack! You could have done this interview in yoga pants you dummy!"

britta first of all, take a breath! You are going to do great!!
A dress would be perfectly fine. I am personally a big fan of pants with blouse-y type shirts, so that would work too. You are right on point with those interview questions. At my interview, they also asked what my technical skills are, strengths/weaknesses, reason why I wanted the job, and then more job knowledge specific stuff (successful marketing campaigns, web development, etc).
Basically becole gave you some great tips! I agree with having a "closing shpeel" to give them. Talk yourself up!!

britta I have an interview tomorrow afternoon and I'm in the same boat, but I'm going to wear dress pants with a loose blouse and blazer. That way it hides that my pants are cutting off my circulation. Hope that helps!
Also, I need a good answer for what my weaknesses are...I ALWAYS struggle with that question.
Okay but really - I am so sad. This is the day after the election 2.0 over here.
I have to hand it to the Falcons- they played fantastic. At halftime, my husband and I were talking about how it was so sad the Pats were going to lose. That comeback was incredible. It was a really exciting game to watch, even when the Pats were losing!

It was an emotional roller coaster, if nothing else. I couldn't believe it. I knew though, when we went into OT, that it was over and we'd lose. I don't like the NFL OT rules - I mean, especially today (haha) but always. It doesn't make sense that both teams don't at least get to try.
I'm so so proud of my Falcons though. We had an amazing season and we had a great showing at the Super Bowl, and that's more than I can say for when we made it to the Super Bowl back in 1998. We got absolutely murdered at that one. This time, we played well. I really think the Matt Ryan fumble and that penalty where we could've kicked a field goal are what bit us in the butt ultimately.

ksyknelvr73 , I had resigned myself to a loss at halftime. I blamed Trump for everything that went wrong LOL. I knew it would be a battle until the very end. I have a ton of respect for Matt Ryan, and he and the Falcons are going to be great for many years to come. I really liked the interview he did before the game. ETA: Good luck with your interview tomorrow!
jwinct , I wish that the performances had been reversed (with the Schuyler sisters doing the anthem). I thought Luke Bryan was passable. Not the best, but not Roseanne Barr level either. I was expecting much worse from him.
