I'm just struggling with parenting these days. It's hard to work back and forth wth the daycare based on the little info you get and no idea what's going on. They say he's easy, then fussy. He's happy, then seems sick.. idk. And then what I get when he's with me after daycare doesn't match what they're saying. But I trust these people. Idk what to do.
I feel you. I'm struggling for different reasons, but the work/daycare situation is so very frustrating at times. Is it possible they are still learning his norms? I feel like your DS didn't start that long ago maybe.
I keep telling myself, "This too shall pass. Like a kidney stone probably, but it will pass."

Yes he's only been there half a week, a full week, and this week. So far we've dealt with getting him to take a bottle, a cold, cat naps, almost being sent home for diahrea, and now being asked to send bigger bottles. I feel like they don't even know him yet. But I also feel like I don't have a very good report with his teacher. She's very quiet and seems intimidated by me but then sends notes home or tells my H things that I need follow up questions with. I told H I think I'm going to drive down there and feed during lunch this week just to get a handle on this situation.
I'm stuffing my feelings down with cupcakes. We made them a few days ago. The cupcakes are soft and the frosting is hard so we didnt frost them all. I'm taking a bite of cupcake and washing it down with a spoon full of frosting.. LO was up at 2, 4, and 6, and DD1 was up at 6 for the day. I stayed up to watch The Bachelor but it wasn't insanely late. Unless I can get both girls down at the same time midday, it's my only non-kid time. So it's a constant struggle of sleep or down time. Exhausted. You all get it I know. DD1 had preschool today and did well, so I'm happy about that. I drove to a store 20 minutes away and no one showed up to open it 15 minutes past their opening time so I left in a huff. I tried to get DD2 down for a nap upstairs but she was fighting it and I was worried she'd wake DD1 up. So swing nap downstairs again. Still though she keeps fussing in her sleep, I think it's gas.
Welp. DS2 has the fever now too. I would not be surprised if he had an ear infection though. He's had a junky cough and yellow-green boogs for about a week now. Would explain the crap sleep last night too. It remains to be seen what 1.0's deal is though.

MH just sent me a pic of G holding his bottle. I am not ready for my baby to be that big. MH said he grabbed it himself too. Last week laughing, this week holding his own bottle. What's next? LOL
becole, I hope you're able to get on the same page as the daycare.
sanibel21, one of my coworkers brought in cookies, and I've had 2 so far. They are not small. I hope you're able to get some rest.
Thanks ladies. I try to be nice. I struggle with what to say to find common ground but I also only have like 5 minutes/ day to find out what happened with my kid for 9 hours. Times 2 kids. My supply is also not as high so that's stressing me that I'm not producing enough to send 16 ounces. I don't always have 2 hours/ day to pump.

becole we are having some issues in that respect with daycare as well, but more with DS2 (my May 14 baby). They are PTing him (along with us) and the thing is, they just write "PT" on his sheet with no info about whether he peed all day, pooped in the potty, etc. Like yesterday they wrote PT and then he came home in totally different clothes with two baggies of underwear to wash. SO OBVIOUSLY he wasn't "PT" all day. WRITE DOWN THE DETAILS!!!!!

@snuff9861 just sending hugs. Don't beat yourself up over it. We ALL have those days...and frankly, I have them more often than I'd like and I get extra annoyed with myself b/c I don't stay at home with the kids so why is it that I'm already bothered by them?? Parenting is hard.
Anyone else still giving probiotics? I gave them to DD when she was a newborn but didn't refill when I ran out. She had slept awful for 3 weeks and i think she is finally out of the 4 month regression BUT she literally started sleeping well again on the day I bought more probiotics and gave them to her. It could be a total coincidence but maybe something to try for those of you dealing with gassy babes.
I give DD probiotics every day. I felt like it would probably help her not get sick as often too being in daycare (that could be completely irrational, but I'm telling myself it anyway).
Help me adult. H and I are not on the same page I don't think.
So. DS2 had bronchiolitis/RSV. Cough had cleared up for a few days, then came back about a week ago. Much junkier, so I know it's something different and not a lingering RSV cough. Lots of yellow-green drainage. Fights sleep last night. Would fall asleep in my arms but would wake up as soon as laid flat. Same for naps and such so far today. Temp is 101.1, rectally. I'm almost 100% sure he has an ear infection based on history and current symptoms. Our pedi has late hours today, so I was thinking of calling and having them check today.
DS1 wakes up this morning with a fever and vague complaints (my head, my feet, my stomach). Fever 101.6 axillary before he wiggled away. Gave some Motrin and he played and ate a little. Just seems like a typical kid with a fever, no other apparent symptoms, was healthy previously. I'm inclined to wait a few days and see how things pan out with him. H think if I'm going to take DS2, I should take 1 as well. But he thinks tomorrow.
What say ye, O16? I don't want to make multiple trips, but I also know whatever DS1 has could just be viral right now.

What kind do you give her? I was taking them but not sure if they pass to bm.
Also re: daycare pottyibg. We had that issue and I finally talked to the director. They have to write down the time, whether he tried potty, was wet or dry, and accidents. And the times. That way if he has an accident but wasn't taken to the potty for 2 hours- their fault not his- I can address it. You should be getting that info ksyknelvr73
ETA: to clarify- the director didn't know the teacher was not writing down that info as it's required. Maybe even required by the state.
LOL. Never mind. Disregard my last post. I made an executive decision and am taking DS2 today. I'll wait on DS1 and see what happens.
I would take both if I was already going just to check ears and lungs. Can your H check for an EI? They sell those things online. I never could tell though. I tried.
danizee I am still giving Lil P Gripe Water. I don't know what would happen if we stopped. I only give it at night and it has chamomille in it so it helps her sleep.

If you are only paying a copay, I'd bring both in but you are also a medical professional. I'm clueless and hate taking time off work for appointments. Hopefully DS1 is fine and this is the last sick visit for awhile!
