Wow, four new babies! Congratulations @wineandcupcakes, linewifekat, and flyinghorses6! Hope you are all doing well today. Can't wait for pictures! Been having some painful contractions this morning. Not sure if they are for real. Ugh. Have a checkup today and will definitely not be working past Friday if we make it that far. How is everyone else doing?

Hope your check up goes well!
I'm WFH on my last working day before leave. It snowed here last night, plus I've been having contractions on and off and don't want to deal with them at work. I'm also trying to wrap my head around giving birth tomorrow! What?!?!
Ugh... And I should do some spot cleaning before my parents get here this evening. We'll see if I get that far LOL

I've had contractions pretty consistently since around 9pm last night Nothing really painful though, and they are not intensifying. So I'm really on the fence if this is going to turn into real labour or just stall out again eventually. I just don't know what to think anymore. I thought perhaps I have leaking amniotic fluid, hospital told me try a pad and see if it fills in 30mins I know I'm not leaking enough for that, so just wait and see right now :/
Incision check today at my OB. By how I feel guessing an uneventful appt.
Vent Below: I'm trying not to bite my moms head off this morning. We had a terrible night where babies didn't want to sleep great and here high maintenance eaters. It's not even 8am and she's brought up giving them formula twice now....just stop!

So many babies! A local facebook friend had her baby girl yesterday too. I'm doing my best to remind myself that I don't need to be jealous
We got about 4/5 inches of snow last night. All the schools are canceled, but it doesnt look too bad out there. F is so so grumpy this morning. It could be a long morning 😑

pivot - I'm along WFH and I'm trying to pretend I like and care about people right now. FX the day flies for you.
@jacks605 - FX the appointment goes well today. And did your mom THINK before she spoke?! I'm sure she's coming from a good place, but dear lord... babies also go through a two-week growth spurt so extra hunger and agitation is kind of expected, right?! My mom had a lot of amnesia after J was born, too. FX today is a better day. We're hear to listen ETA: There is 100% nothing wrong with formula feeding, but the two-week growth spurt explains a lot of what could be going on. Wanted to clarify that.
We took J out to dinner last night, our last family dinner just three of us since my parents are coming over this evening. J was so sweet and snuggly on me, her manners were on point, she listened... it was like she knew she was putting on the best big sister show ever. Then this morning, she ate breakfast, did her homework, got dressed, didn't whine at all. I mean seriously, she's setting me up for disaster I know it! LOL
And I still can't believe how many babies were born yesterday! I think in the last two days we've had, what, 5 babies!?!? That's nuts!

So many babies overnight!
I was actually having contractions that were more intense than ever before. So tight my butt felt involved which I only remember from when I was gearing up with real contractions with my girls, they got up to 10mins apart then died. I was pretty happy they died though because the weather here is nuts. We moved to a place where it "never snows" but all its done since December is snow. Last night we got 20cm of snow and now it's freezing rain so the city will be basically shut down today. On the plus side only essential personnel have to report to base this morning so DH is home. Maybe those tighter contractions helped push the baby down where it belongs. I can dream.
I have a snow day today! I slept badly overnight but caught up a bit by sleeping in. I haven't been feeling great so a random day off is amazing. I'm going to tackle our taxes and maybe bake some cookies.
Also, work threw me a surprise shower yesterday afternoon. I was utterly shocked since I wasn't expecting it at all -- I just started there recently, and the job hasn't been a good fit. But, my coworkers are really kind, which counts for a lot. I feel pretty guilty for slacking big time lately.

Crazy how we're all going so close together!
If baby comes naturally, I kind of hope she waits until tonight. We're in white out levels of snow here and expecting 20 inches...
No thank you.
And if she doesn't come tonight, my induction is scheduled for 7am. So... this time tomorrow, something is going down.
I started my leave today and DH and I are just hanging out at home. He lit some candles last night, rubbed my back, snuggled me, and we just talked. It was extremely wonderful.

So much snow! It was 84° here yesterday and supposed to be in the 70°s today. I took DS2 on a walk yesterday and we were both drenched in sweat. Also got mastitis, I got it several times with DS1. Hoping the antibiotics kick in soon. Congrats to all the momma's of new babies linewifekat, flyinghorses6, and @wineandcupcakes!
LO has her first pedi appointment today. I found out yesterday that I get a free bagel everyday at panera, so I will be driving thru after the appointment. And maybe sbux too because molten chocolate latte!
cosmicav The only reason I haven't worn a dress with maternity pants is because my dresses are all sleeveless and I don't feel like shaving under my arms about two thirds of the time.
Sure enough, SS2 stumbled through the kitchen last night speaking incoherently. MH told him to go away. We finished feeding the kids and put them to bed in peace and SS2 is moving out tomorrow afternoon. Reasons I'm less freaked out than I maybe should be having a heroin addict in the house: it's not the first time, he's not violent, and if he got violent I know where he's been injured before (I can still move pretty quickly if I need to, but I reserve the right to be sore and crabby afterwards).

This is my wtf since I missed it yesterday. WTF to the security guard who keeps calling me to escort workers through the building. There are multiple other people on my team you can contact AND I already gave you their names and extensions. I keep having to call them myself and ask them to go escort. This has been happening for weeks now, and he knows who I am. WHY are you Still calling me?!?!

nomnom - That SS2 situation is not okay. Take it from someone with addicts in the family, get him out. I know he's not violent or unpredictable now, but things can change quickly. I'm sure you know all this and I'm preaching to the choir, but seriously... do not allow him back in your home. Especially if he knows you're potentially having surgery and will most likely have prescription meds in your possession. DNW him (or one of his addict friends) breaking into your medicine cabinet.

oldbaylover1024 We know where to hide things so he doesn't find them and I will make sure anything I get is hidden. MH has had prescription meds from his surgeries the last few years. He's mostly interested in heroin now anyhow. (We've already had him and his friends steal stuff, just not recently.) Since this is the second time he's run through the kitchen stoned/high/whatever it's called with heroin while I was feeding the kids, I think MH realized that the first time wasn't an isolated mistake.

I can't believe we're getting at least two new babies by tomorrow! oldbaylover1024 and loves2shop4shoes, I'm so excited for you.
I do wonder if the snowstorm will bring any babies today. I was a storm baby myself and apparently the hospital had a record number of births that night.

cosmicav I see nothing wrong with that fashion choice. It's amazing the things I wear now that I never would have before - i.e. leggings as pants in public...
@jacks605 sorry about your mom. That is one of many reasons I am so hesitant to let my mom come stay help DH's first shift back at work.

Just another day chilling at home with MH and Z. I feel like we got seriously cheated on this so called "snow storm." We barely got a coating. Of course this state basically shuts down at the sight of a single flake. I just want one really good snow. I grew up in northeastern PA and now live in the mid-Atlantic...those 250 miles sure do make a difference winter weather wise.
On the plus side, yesterday evening and this morning I got Z on the boob for one good stretch each. I'm taking that as progress. She still eats from the bottle after, but that's because I don't push her to get back on once she messes up the latch (meaning starts to hurt me), but she only takes about an ounce or so from the bottle so I know she's getting something. We still have a long way to go, but at least I'm seeing progress.

I'm re-writing my instructions for my IL's because I didn't like how they were organized when I did it the first time. I've also been thinking of more things to write down. I think I have a problem. It's so weird to write down everything you can think of because you have no idea when they'll be taking over. Like, I'm writing down his routine and including how to work the humidifier because I don't know if he'll still be sick when I go into labor. This is making my planner personality go crazy!
