DH suggested we go out to lunch today before picking up DS1. So, I'm looking forward to burgers this afternoon! I also totally forgot I ordered a new diaper bag and it comes today! I'm super excited about organizing our lives later.
nomnom, I'm glad you'll have that drama out soon. Nobody needs that let alone while preparing for babies. oldbaylover1024, I hope YH doesn't have strep or at least gets something to make him better asap.

shawnabm1320, I made a ridiculously detailed list for DS. Unfortunately labor happens sooner and more quickly than we were anticipating and it didn't get used (since I hadn't printed it yet) but it still made me feel better about it all.
I'm about to lose my temper with my mom and mil. I get that they are excited and just want to help, but they really need to stop texting and calling every damned day. I'm about to scream at them and I feel like a raging momma bear right now. Just leave me alone with my family so we can enjoy these last few days as a family of 4, and I will let you know if we/I need anything! I'm a really private person, and prefer isolation, so they're starting to feel incredibly rude and intrusive. I don't want to see or hear from anyone, now, for at least 2 months.

I can only stretch and sit spread eagle so many hours a day at work trying to get this baby to fall out. Pretty much my butt and thighs are just killing me from the effort and the baby is laughing at me.
Hopefully after this big snow storm everybody's going through now or soon will be the last big hurrah. I'm wanting 50+ degrees for all of us to get out of our caves soon.

Everything looked good at my NST today. My BP is down thanks to bed rest, but the Dr thinks it's best to induce at 38 weeks. She said that current guidelines say 37 weeks based on how high my BP was last week. So I reluctantly agreed and I'll be having a baby on Monday. Omg- 3 weeks ago I would not have believed in a million years this would happen. I firmly believed I'd have a March baby after being induced sometime after 40 weeks.

Well I'm a basket case of emotions right now. We got back from a very long morning meeting with the pediatric surgeon at the hospital with N to discuss his umbilical cord.
It looks as though his umbilical cord didn't die off like it should have and still has blood flow going to an artery. They did a CT scan to figure out where it's going to but we don't have results of that yet. He will probably be having surgery next week to take care of it. I am such a mess over it all.

allisong87 - Wow, that's a lot to take in. I'm glad the doctors are being proactive and gave you an idea of what it could be. I'm sorry you're dealing with all this.

allisong87 that's a lot to consider so soon after having your LO. I'm sorry for the stress! At least your doctors have caught on to the issue and are taking care of it soon. Hugs to you!
