I scheduled a hair appointment for a Deva cut for my unruly curly hair. It's going to be a 5 hour round trip.
FFFC: I'm not telling MH as he would freak about just the money it's going to cost in gas. He is very frugal and does not understand the importance of a good curly hair cut.
I'm only traveling to this salon for the initial cut as I can't get into a comparable closer salon until May. I will be going there moving forward for maintenance.
I'm excited! But feel guilty for not telling him. I don't want to fight that fight.

Can you afford the gas without having to cut out an essential? If yes I wouldn't worry about it. It's a one time thing.
Yes I can afford the gas. He would just think I was being rediculous. When I told him about the guy I will be going to in May (instead of my BFF hair stylist who gives me a large discount) he was all up in arms about it.
I heard this song the other day at my work out and I immediately thought of this place and then I felt bad for judging women that I don't really know their lyfe, but I judge and I was judging again at zumba

I would not recommend it. I am team #loveyourself but you heading in dangerous territory here. Didn't you say that you guys aren't in the best place financially?
We are doing alright now. I'm doing better as I've quit smoking and redbull so am saving $500+ a month. Plus he is working now that he's officially sworn in to the bar.
When we were young and stupid, a friend and I went back with some bar randoms to their hotel. While in the elevator they started talking about all the coke in their room. We had to extract ourselves from the situation and find a place to stay (it was around 1am). This was all my fault because it was my idea to stay in the city longer, thus missing our late train home.
In college I met a guy online and went on a date with him. A Friday night date ended up going home on Sunday. I didn't have a cell phone and he didn't have a phone at his apartment so I never bothered to tell my roommate (we weren't close anyways so I didn't think about it).
Sunday night I was putting my shoes on and the news was on... I was a missing person. I had to go to another persons apartment and call home then he drove me back to campus where my parents and the cops were waiting on me. The next morning a cop came to my dorm room and chastised me for being stupid while he was giving me back all the stuff they took from my room.
It was traumatizing. My parents bought me a cell phone that weekend though.

Yeah you should tell him kinda where you are going at least. 2.5 hours one way would be quite a distance from home. I think it's a good idea to tell your husband any time you are going out of town. Id be sure to get a flat or car trouble and need his help
SIL did some work with Tess Holli.day recently. I'm both jealous and have the German embarrassment for her (walking around a train station in a bra) at the same time. I'm conflicted.
@pineappleoranges, accurate. We ended up with a room in the same hotel (cheapest we could find) and as we left the next morning they were all sitting by the pool (it was a bachelor party).
for entirely too long I thought the words to Rock the Casbah were Rock the Cash Bar, and the song was telling us to make it rain and live it up at the lame wedding cash bar

I mean if you have a mutual understanding you are going to spend your own $ and not discuss it that's one thing.
Yes will be spending my own money. They money I've been saving from no longer smoking cigarettes and drinking two red bulls daily. I figured it could be my reward for doing so well lately.
I know this has come up before, but having to hide purchases is a red flag to me.
He knows I'm going to a new person vs. my cheap cuts from my BFF so more $ just the fact that it's money in gas to get to the further salon just this one time.
