Sticking with the lyric confession:
Country music was big in my house growing up. Up until LAST WEEK I thought Toby Keith's "should've been a cowboy" song had the line "Wearing my SEX SHOE, riding my pony on a cattle drive"
I heard my H sing it and realized those are ummm not the words. I told him what I thought the words were and his face was priceless. He said "WTF is a sex shoe?"

I have looked into it and I don't think there is any way it could be an accident. I'm going to report it but I am dreading it. They will either be fired, and I will be required to hire and train someone new which is extremely time consuming... or they will only get written up and continue working here which I feel will result in bad working relationship moving forward.
I am mostly just pissed off this person did this and put me in this position in the first place. There is a good chance I wouldn't have caught it at all if I wasn't thoroughly checking everything.

I sometimes don't know what state my H is in for a work trip. He will take quick 24 hour trips and sometimes things run together or I forget to ask. My mom frequently doesn't know where my stepdad is because he has offices in like 6 states. But that's a little (a lot) different than just lying. Mena doesn't regularly travel to this area, her H would have no reason to think she would be there, if something happens it would literally be the last place he looked. Plus she's going out of the way to lie. The parallel that sometimes I don't know where my SO is for work doesn't really hold for me.
I live in NY and will be staying in NY for the hair cut.
I'm on your side! I don't feel the need to be notified of DH's every move in a given day, up to and including long distance drives, unless we need to change our child care or dinner plans. Then again, you do say your DH would care, so maybe I'm no longer on your side!!
He's just so frugal which can be a good thing. But just doesn't understand the troubles of curly hair. Thinks I can just get a cheapo cut anywhere.
Yesterday afternoon I caught my employee using the company credit card for personal purchases.
Confession: I have considered not reporting it to my boss to avoid dealing with the aftermath.
Does she have the option of logging the expense as personal? My old company let us use our company credit cards for personal use but when filling the monthly expense report had to log it as personal and pay the balance ourselves.
$500 a month for cigs and Red Bull's is blowing my mind. And I'm the queen of treat yo self. I knew cigarettes were expensive but damn, Gina.
Glad you quit, Mena.
New York clocks in with the most expensive, at more than $14 a pack for cigarettes. A pack of day user can see that add up really fast.
I have drunkenly bought packs in the city and have paid close to $20 so I know they're pricey. But I thought Mena was like 3 hours away so I didn't realize it was so expensive there.
I'm confused, mena. You said you are already driving out of town for the day, so you would just have to leave early, but earlier you stated that H would be mad about the gas. If you are already traveling out of town, wouldn't you be using the gas already? Why would he be mad?
He thinks I should just stick with my BFF who gives me a huge discount.
And it's not exactly on the way of where I'm traveling for work.
You guys may remember that last year I had a bunch of hospital bills go into collections. I set up a payment plan and it was autodraft (otherwise I would forget) After about 2 months of this the payments mysteriously stopped drafting so I called wondering what happened and the girl said it was a system error and that it would start up again the next week.
That was in December and it still hasn't started back up. I haven't called back. I've received no communication from them about anything.

They average about $11-$12 here. Pack a day. Plus two red bulls.
Also, for a long time I didn't know that whip was slang for car, and based on urban music lyrics, I thought a disproportionately large number of black people were into S&M.
At some point that came up in discussion with my black co-workers. People were literally crying with laughter.

It's six-shooter, right?
I wish I didn't know this.
Bwahah yes ma'am. It was the revelation of the century. Makes so much more sense then sex shoe...
This is a "confession" thinly veiled, and actually just a brag but I can't keep it inside any longer: I surprised DH with tickets to Hamilton and a trip to Chicago over our anniversary weekend. I've been planning since January and just spilled the beans on part of it, I've never been such a good secret keeper in all my life. WOTY status secured.
$500 a month was spent on cigs and redbull so I'm not sure why there would be a fight about driving for a haircut? I'm guessing he didn't like all that money being spent but you did it anyways, go get your hair cut but don't lie about it.
When we were young and stupid, a friend and I went back with some bar randoms to their hotel. While in the elevator they started talking about all the coke in their room. We had to extract ourselves from the situation and find a place to stay (it was around 1am). This was all my fault because it was my idea to stay in the city longer, thus missing our late train home.
I guess I should FFC that when I was young and stupid & going home with bar guys I would have probably gone back to their room, done all their coke, then bailed. I actually have done this, minus the hotel room. I was really reckless

Then I'll confess that this remains one of my favorite songs.

Yesterday I wanted to watch Criminal Minds during nap time, MH did not. I offered sex if we could watch it. He agreed. Then he went upstairs and I sat on the couch. We remained on our respective floors for approximately 30 minutes until I texted him asking if he was coming back. He thought we were going to do it upstairs. I thought we were going to do it downstairs.
So, yesterday I bartered sex to watch a CBS primetime show and then there was a miscommunication where it would take place and we both awkwardly sat on different floors of the house for half an hour waiting for each other.
mariavontrapp , can you tell the employee you know about it and ask if they will pay it back?
I considered this, but I think my boss would prefer me to discuss these things with her rather than letting someone slide by when they are obviously playing the system.
