flyinghorses6 this is my new fear. DD2 is in the crib and baby will be in the PnP beside our bed until we have to transition DD2. Lately though, she's been so busy and climbing on everything EXCEPT the crib, so I feel like it's just a matter of time before she applies her new climbing skills. DD1 was in the crib until she was 3 just because she never tried to climb out and we enjoyed her being contained in the morning. Why can't they all be so easy?
I bought the next size up in sleep sacks purely because I'm hoping it will keep F from ever climbing out of the crib. I am not ready for that transition - and he's such a good sleeper usually.

billybumbler I could have written that post. Between the site nipples, initial engorgement, and the frustrated husband. It's hard to not get overwhelmed. I spent 45 minutes at 3am trying to get my boobs to a point where ds2 could latch. I was finally able to pump 1.5 ounces and do reverse compression to get it manageable for him to latch. Then almost cried from pain through the nursing session. I can't wait until this stage is over.
ellabee it was a game of strong wills today and for once I freaking won!! Granted now all I'm doing is scrubbing floors with my hands, but somehow I'm still excited!

Add us to he fussy toddler club. He's been doing well in the mornings but after his nap in the afternoon it's usually a whine fest. So all the sympathies to the new big sisters and brothers. I know it's hard for them so I'm trying to give him as much patience and grace as I can but goodness it is exhausting. He's currently whining right now for an unknown reason. Yesterday he cried because he wanted everyone to go outside then decided he didn't want his brother outside. #jesustakethewheel
staz I think repacking my bag just once is a good plan for tonight. I kept telling myself I'd add the last minute items later, but just realized I don't know what's in there!
I made a list of what was in my bag and had a small section of last minute items to be added (make up, glasses,DHs glasses, daily toiletries).
This is what I've done, and I put the list of last minute stuff on the fridge. Otherwise, stuff is definitely getting forgotten!
My toddler chose right now to learn how to climb out the crib. Uhhhh hoping it was a fluke because idk if I can handle transitioning her to a bed with a 4 day old. SOS.

I'm ready to have this baby so I can talk about the baby and not my body at church. UGH. "So... How are you doing???" seemed to be the question of the day today. "Hanging in there" was my response. I was told I looked great, looked skinny, looked huge, looked miserable, and looked tired. Thanks?
Next week is gonna be rough if I'm still pregnant. I have plans for every day this week so that's plenty to either keep me busy, or put me into labor.
So TMI, I lost a little bit of mucus plug today. It was like my vagina spat a loogie into my underwear. I feel like I need to take a long shower and scrub myself from the grossness even though that's totally normal.
This happened about two weeks before my first was born. If this one is the same, then it looks I will be having a due date baby. Yay and also at the same time ughhhhhhjfjfhdjdkhh because it feels so far......

MH and I were talking about our plans for the week, and I told him if the baby was born by Wednesday, he could go somewhere on Saturday as long as he arranged for help for me. He replied "But you don't want the baby to come that early, do you?" Ummmmm come on!!
In other news, I've been feeling menstrual crampy today. I'm not sure how I feel about this. On one hand - I want my baby like yesterday. On the other hand - giving birth while sick does not sound fun!!
It will probably end up being nothing, but it's certainly got me double checking what we need to do to be totally ready!
After the 7 hrs of contractions and being in l&d on Monday, I thought for sure baby would be here be now.
Nope.
I'm officially past my due date and really miffed about it. Not to mention that since that episode Monday, everything feels easier- more energy, less body aches, and only braxton hicks to contend with...the process is going backwards! So, so frustrated.

Things MIL's H had MH do while they were here. 1. Scoop the ice out of his lemonade. 2. Fetch him some crackers. 3. Clean the bugs off of his windshield. 4. Recline his seat on the couch. 5. Get him a blanket so he could nap.
He is so weird. He also looks a bit like an Elvis impersonator.

Seriously??? Your H must be saint-like. The only thing I'd be doing after that would be handing him his car keys to leave.

He's pretty irritated about it. I can't stop laughing about it. His love language is acts of service but he even said it was too much this time.

I caught a cold and cannot breathe. And have a sore throat. I'm so sad this is potentially my last week being pregnant, prob ever, and I'm miserable from a darn cold. What's worse is that I'm more concerned DH and DS will get it and I seriously can't take care of a man cold, toddler cold and a new born if he/she shows up. I love reading the birth stories tho, great distraction from this and I'm so happy for everyone!
Does anyone know of a sleep aid that's safe for breastfeeding? I think last time I couldn't find anything, but I am prone to sleep issues and want to ask my OB and ped at our appointments this week.
My milk came in today and LO has spent all day in a food coma. He is so mellow and sweet I can't believe it. We're so over the moon.

flyinghorses6 we never used a sleep sack either and with her diva attitude I feel like she'd be super pissed if I tried. She gets mad if her footy pajamas slip off her feet and get caught up in the legs.
So the pressure came back and the lightening crotch is intense right now. It feels like baby is trying to Shawshank their way out. It feels like serious head on cervix grinding and it's super painful. I'd be more excited but this happened a lot during DD1s pregnancy way before she was even born.

Ugh. It's super windy here and our electricity went out. This is when I'm upset that F's room is now so far from ours. I don't think I'll be able to hear him without the monitor if he needs me motn. Hopefully they can get it working soon!
zcookiemonster, I'm in the same boat with a cold during what I'm hoping is my last week of this pregnancy. I hope you get better soon!
