No sign of a baby here, although I think I may have lost some MP last night. I'm not sure, as I never saw any of my MP with DS. So, maybe some progress?
My sister is coming over today to help finish up the nursery, and a few of MH's friends are coming over to help him move things out of his office upstairs and into his Amish shed office. I regret mopping the floors yesterday - I'm pretty sure I'm going to be doing it again tonight after they leave.
Otherwise I'm like 99% ready for a baby to join my house, and every morning I wake up a twinge disappointed that I didn't wake up in labor. Lol!

Oh, shellbell, I'm so sorry. There's nothing more rage inducing than your husband snoring next to you while you're stuck awake with a newborn. The snoring is like an extra insult. Props to you for not smothering him with your pillow.
Boo for a snoring H shellbell. Mine does that too and it makes me ragey.
B gave me a 4hr stretch last night, so that was nice. It was preceded by like 3 hrs of cluster feeding while he tanked up, but hey, I'll take it! Plans for today include picking up a few groceries (whatever I can fit in a cart that also contains a car seat lol) and hopefully a nap.

We slept pretty good last night. But R slept on my chest and nursed all night. She would not sleep in her bassinet at all. I was so desperate for sleep I just accepted the snuggles and snoozed half sitting up.
I don't think my birth story is all that interesting so I don't wanna make my own thread. But basically I worked all night on Tuesday into Wednesday. Wednesday after my shift I had an NST and ultrasound to measure fluid. Both went well, but because of the impending snow for Thursday my OB came over to do my appointment- so I wouldn't have to drive there during the snow. I was 4 cm, so she did a membrane sweep and told me to walk around a bit. Well I basically started contracting every 3-4 minutes. 2 hours later they were more intense and continued to be 3-4 minutes so she said I should stay and see what happens. Well I labored all day, sometimes contractions would space out to 5-6 minutes but they were so painful. I was also exhausted from not having slept yet, and everything felt heightened. At 5:30 I requested my epidural and I was only changed to 4-5 cm, but 100% effaced. They started pitocin at 7. An hour later I was still 5. An hour after that I was very uncomfortable and was about to get an epidural bolus and my doctor came in to check me. I was 6, and when she ended the exam my water broke spontaneous. This was at 9:20, the next contraction I was fully dilated and I delivered R at 9:28 two contractions later. She was transverse so her face was really bruised up, and she had a swollen eye. But she is looking much better.
Everything's going well and I think my milk has started to come in, which is great because she hasn't had many wet diapers. My nipples are extremely sore, and nursing is a mental battle because the first minute is almost unbearable. But I think it's getting a little better as they get more used to nursing again. I've also been trying to use a shield to help them get a little barrier, but R doesn't seem to like it. Go figure.
Unless you're DH and spend almost 8 hours in bed snoring away.
This is how I feel except we're still at the hospital. Does not bode well for going home and adding a toddler to the mix. I already rage cried this morning.
@shawnabm1324 and pivot- Hope labor kicks in for you both. The waiting game sucks...
shellbell - Kuddos for you not only keeping a newborn alive but also letting DH survive night.
My DH rocks! After the pedi visit yesterday he brought me home flowers and the. This morning he took the babes and let me sleep from 4:30 to 7:30...3hrs of glorious sleep!!! Totally made up for all the nights I wanted to smother the man that "doesn't snore" while pregnant.
LO1 spent the night at my parents last night so that was huge while we semi-successfully got twins from sleeping on us in the recliners to RnP's in our room.

I've had really bad toe pain the last couple of weeks. I think my feet grew and they are pressing against my shoes. I have only worn loose shoes for the past week, but they still hurt. They're red and warm to the touch. I had to take Tylenol and I can't stand up normally.
I really hope they go back to normal after pregnancy... I can't imagine having to buy all new shoes...
I am so over being pregnant at this point. So so over it. And I have weeks left!
+1
I keep trying to psych myself up for possibly making it to March (my OB won't even talk about an induction until your 41 week appointment, unless there's a medical reason), but I will be so so sad if I last that long. So sad.

My sympathies to all the ladies with snoring husbands. I am flabbergasted at MH's ability to sleep through a newborn crying right next to him. He usually wakes up after a minute. He also apologizies for not doing more and told me whenever I'm ready to try a bottle he will get up. We are not ready yet although DS2's latch is getting better. We are trying to go to the store today. Gotta get groceries and valentines for DS1 to take to school. DS1 has been having lots of feelings and break downs over everything and anything. We are at a loss for how to help him adjust to his brother. Some days he is great some days he is a hot mess.
((Hugs)) for the adjustment difficulties musicallyinclined. We're there with you. I feel bad that DDs world has basically been upended. I struggle with reminding myself of that fact while she's being her *lovely* 3 yr old self. 🙄

I'm having one helluva morning hormone-wise. I have cried over the price that was quoted for newborn photos, the fact that DH has to work all weekend again and will be doing so even after little guy arrives while mom is here, and for a trigger regarding my loss 2 years ago. I am about to get lunch with friends and eat cheesecake.
@misicallyinclined hope he starts to get acclimated soon. We were super nervous about this the last month of my PG when I got less mobile. Had a few reports at daycare of her not listening and being more emotional.
musicallyinclined when you bottle feed, will it be formula or pumped milk? I am thisclose to being there, but I have no freaking clue how to fit a pump in. She's eating so often that I'm just not sure how to time it. I'm seriously considering opening the formula samples.
Getting ready to go to my newborn care class. H is learning how to change a diaper. I'm getting ready to laugh my ass off internally. This should be good!

flyinghorses6 I can relate to the extremely sore nipples. I forgot how much it hurts I can't believe you went from 6- baby in 8 minutes! I've only been to one birth like that before and it was crazy. I hope your milk comes in soon!
