My kid just. Won't. Sleep. 30 min at a time was all I got out of her all last night. My moms coming over so I can nap because she'll sleep being held. I'm wondering if she's got reflux and it's bad on her back? Sometimes she makes a look like she's coughing up a hair ball but nothing comes up. She's not a spitter. Le sigh.

Sup. (Knocking on wood) - aside from the really annoying 8-midnight fussiness, we're falling into a pretty good overnight pattern of wake-ups around 1 and 4, then up for the day around 6:30 when it's time to help get the toddler and my H our the door.
pibblemom, You might try keeping her upright for 20 minutes after each feeding for a day or two to see if you notice an improvement (which is NOT fun MOTN, sorry).
Today we have friends with similarly-aged kids coming to visit. We are going to ask them to be A's Godparents.

pibblemom my kid is coughing and spitting up a bunch in the last week, especially diaper changes when she's flat. Elevating the end of the crib might help.
judyblume14 good luck with the godparent discussion
N was so sleepy at the 4am feeding that I wasted twenty minutes trying to get her to take the other side. Which she nursed on for three minutes and then I had to stay up and pump it. Been trying not to pump MOTN because it was making engorgement worse but I had to empty some.
Running on six hours of sleep and no point going back to bed after this nursing session because DH will leave an hour later. No plans except keeping us all fed and alive.
opheliainwaders, she falls asleep on me no problem, we had a few good nights where I was able to transfer her into her cosleeper (which does have an elevated head), and she's had several naps in it too. The last 2 nights sleep has been really really hard though. I'm trying to see if it's gas and bicycle legs etc could help. Maybe it's just a 2 steps forward 1 step back thing.
Dd did better last night and I feel kind of awake. I've already been out and about all by myself to hit up the fabric and consignment stores. Two loads of laundry are going. Upstairs has been swiffered. Kids are napping. Mh made delicious breakfast sandwiches and then grilled cheeses for lunch. Things are so much easier with two munchkins when a second person is around.
Tomorrow I have a baby shower and I'm trying to decide on dd's outfit. She's still pretty small and doesn't have a lot of newborn choices other than sleepers.

Had a great morning! We took DD1 to her first gymnastics class, baby slept the whole time thank goodness. Now both kids are napping at the same time. The weather is amazing today. We might actually get to play outside later today.
I wish I could take DS out somewhere but I can't lift him in and out of the car and the backyard is literally a mud pit. Another day of letting Daniel Tiger parent him. Maybe I'll let him color later, he loves crayons but has to be closely supervised.
Annnnd baby girl just pooped herself awake, so I'll be back later

Just put dd down for a nap and R is going to be waking up anytime now. Doesn't look like I'll be enjoying a very long double nap today so no nap for me. Oh well at least my kids will be rested.
I've been cutting construction paper shapes and letting DD color on them and making her little folded "books" and having her draw me a story. Something different than just scribbling on paper!
I am really doing the least over here but I'm ok with that. Looking forward to spring and feeling more like myself again.

@orangcrush my mom got him a coloring book so he's been using that. And my best friend got him one for Christmas that I I've been saving. But I like your ideas!
My Partner went back to work today but so thankful my parents came over to help with bed time. Max is hard work right now and Fox is not a guaranteed sleeper when I need him to be so I was fearing bedtime with an over tired toddler.
I really don't know what I did with a 3 week old 1st time around, can he be older and more fun now? I really shouldn't be wishing this time away
Hey DH, instead of peeking your head over the banister and calling W's name, how about you come get him out of the swing while I pump. He's obviously not happy I set him down.
silvermelody I'm a morning person. For the last two hours I have done nothing but cuddle and nap with dd and am now cuddling ds and the dog. Using the futon as a day bed in our family room has been amazing this time around. Productivity goes way down after three.
Oh. But another load of laundry because the spit up queen trashed the quilt.
DH and DD were still out of the house this morning so I was so incredibly productive. B had a great nap and I managed to go grocery shopping, do 2 loads of laundry, make enchiladas for dinner, Asian noodles for tomorrow night, cut up a bunch of fruit for DDs daycare lunches and stuff/stamp all of Bs birth announcements. Oh, and I pumped and gave B a bottle when he woke up. I'm trying to do that at least every other day so he doesn't forget how to take a bottle when he goes to daycare in April.

Hey ladies. Lazy day here. Dh took over at 1 am and got up with DS1. I didn't get out of bed until 930 and it was amazing. Then my friend/ co-teacher came by to visit and it was so nice to just hang out and chat. Now we are hanging out playing legos and watching TV until dinner.
Wow, some very productive mornings here, I'm impressed!
DH got up with DS1 this morning and i fell asleep with LO after his morning feed. It was good to catch up on the couple of hours I missed last night.
My toe is very swollen, bruised and uncomfortable but for now the Tylenol is taking the edge off the pain so not so bad. I took both boys or to trader joes, starbucks and the library and survived so as long as I hobble slowly I should be able to just get on with things. In flip flops in the rain...
Hoping to do done chores around the house this afternoon but may need to take another trip out. DS1 is being really demanding and whiney and it's driving us both a little nuts. DH is letting it get to him so a break may be needed but we'll see.
Oh crap. Ds is pointing at the tv and signing "trains". He's going to out us and how much Thomas we've been watching to mh. Noooooooo. You don't know my life! That will be my argument.

Holy crap you were all so productive this morning. I have no clue what I did besides drink coffee and nurse...repeat...then finally get DD bathed and myself bathed. DH took DS to swim lessons. We made it out of the house before noon and spent the afternoon at my parent's house. My brother and sil are in town and got do meet DD. We also took a 2 mile walk which was amazing because I'm so ready to start exercising. The walk really improved my mood because I've been feeling kind of down/depressed. Not any serious ppd just feeling gross and ready to have "real life" back.
