So H just left to go to his friend's house for some afternoon poker. So I am alone all day he said he would be back around dinner time. I don't know if I am upset that I am alone again or just that with wing attached to my pump going out for any stretch of time is hard.
I took both kids to brunch at the inlaws by myself and now I'm nursing B while I put DD down for a nap. DH is sleeping on the couch. Guess who's the only one not getting a nap today. I'm trying to not resent DH right now (and failing). 😠

I think we're taking DS1 skiing for the first time today, as part of his big birthday weekend. I'm guessing that I will sit in the lodge with the baby and my book.

Do you have a car adapter or battery pack for your pump? That would enable you to pump in the car when out for a long time. I did this a few times with my nursing cover and hands free bra.

I'm really wishing DD would get on a "bedtime" schedule. I know it will take time for her to adjust and stop staying up until midnight, but I'm ready for a few hours of alone time after the kids go to bed. Soon enough, I suppose. I'm assuming this will straighten itself out by the time she's 3 mo...or so I pray.

I feel like I've been covered in spit/vomit for the last 3 days. Fun! Also, 3 times in as many days, I've tipped milk out of my Milk Saver when putting A down.
Happy birthday to @joybaby5's big boy!
I'm getting 3.5 hours stretches at night, but waking A at that point to nurse. I glare at my H every time.
I'd be very happy if everyone stayed here and didn't abandon us to Facebook
Big news in my world today. I got my H's agreement for me to go to yoga Thursday night. It's a 3-hour ordeal because it's kinda far away. It'll be his first time alone with both girls, and it's smack dab across the toddler's bedtime and A's super fussy time. Yay!

weeklyplanner, we are going to have to be on a schedule when I go back to work at 12 w. We plan on having A in her crib at 6 or 7 weeks. That's when we'll start working on a bedtime routine.

No I don't think there is one for the spectra.
If it is something you are interested in doing they make a car charger inverter, we used to have one for road trips.
That's brave of you to put him on skis! (And super smart to start him young). I, on the other hand flip my lid if my 2.5 year old is running too fast across the (carpeted) playroom.

He's one of those super brave sporty kids so I kind of need to get on board. I am not a great skier but I lived on ski hills for years so I'm used to seeing little ones ski. I think the youngest I saw was 18 months.
It's a lovely day today. I decided to get out and brought both kids to the zoo. I usually log 16000 steps on my fitbit at the zoo. Why did in think this was a good idea with a broken toe??
Late to comment on the FB thing. I use fb but DH uses my account to browse. For that reason alone I'd prefer to stay here.
peaseblossom55, I really admire your commitment to pumping. I could not have done what you're doing. You're awesome.
@joybaby5 happy birthday to your boy! MissDemeanor happy belated bday to your boy !
I'm irritated with H. He keeps coming up and kissing my neck or snuggling from behind and I love it, but then he like not so subtly pulls my bra strap to the side. Anyways, that last bit annoys me because my pp bleeding has intensified again and I feel like it's a gentle reminder that he is excitedly waiting for me to be ready for sex. Except, I know that, and the reminder makes me feel pressured. So I gently told him how it makes me feel, and he got pouty and was like "I just love you and want to show you I love you by kissing and touching you." And I was like ok I love that but I want you to stop pulling my shirt off my shoulder or whatever. So anyways, he got pouty and I'm irritated.
Tl;dr : my hubby is gropey mcgropey pants, I asked him to stop and now he's mcwhiney.

Solidarity, ashtog. My H keeps saying "when's your checkup" ... And I'm like "about 6 months before I'll be ready for sex..."
I do feel a little bit bad because this morning, I pulled away from him when he said something about sex sex and he said "could you maybe not shudder and cringe anytime I mention sex?"

Also. Fucking UPS. I just got a notification from Amazon that "an attempt to deliver your package was made."
Bullshit, motherfucker. I have not left the house today. No one has knocked. No one rang the bell. Where is my package of baby wipes? I need my baby wipes!!!
Lol ashtog! It could be worse. My H and I are basically like roommates caring for a little person right now. And he's pouty because he didn't put the ENTIRE pot of my moms turkey soup away last night and I "yelled" at him.
