I'm at my mom's house now, avoiding the sharpie mess because the cleaner is making my lungs hurt worse than they already do.
Fun fact: Toothpaste does a fairly good job at dealing with sharpie on walls. However, I'm pretty positive the fact that it didn't all come off is because the person who painted the house only used flat paint and nothing even semi-glossy so nothing comes off the walls well, anyway.

Did you try rubbing alcohol? I think that gets sharpie off of most everything except fabrics.
I should be sleeping. My kid is sleeping and has been since 9. It's 10:15 and H keeps saying "go to bed, you know she's going to get up". Thank you, I will live in my peaceful blissful ignorant world where my 2.5 wk old will continue to (mostly) STTN like the last 2 days were not flukes.

Sigh.
I do this too. You need some baby free time to be yourself.

I had to go buy more. I know it gets it off plastic, I'm hoping it helps on the tile and walls, too.
First stretch was only 2.5hrs. Looks like it's a 3 wakeup night at best. Le sigh.
We went to DHs parents for dinner. We took 2 cars and I left with both DD and B so I could start bedtime at a reasonable hour. DH said he was "right behind us". Well, he was over an hour later, basically abandoning me during clusterfeeding and toddler bedtime. So ragey at him right now.

Both kids are asleep! I'm trying to relax and watch TV but I might just go to bed. I'm so tired, and I fear the wake ups... F is usually awake right now, but hes been sleeping for 2 hours. Just when I thought we'd started a routine. At least no cluster feeding tonight (knock on wood)

After reading the article that vlagroupie posted earlier this week about an app coming out for moms to meet other moms, I found out that I'm screwed for now for that app because it's only out for iPhones right now. I decided to see what Android offered anyway and found a similar idea of an app! After getting on it, I learned what I already feared: No one in this stupid state uses it much. As far as I can tell, the last real activity on it was from last fall. Bummer.

I'm up pumping I heard E crying I hope H can get her sleeping soon.
thelittleredm sorry the app didn't have much recent meetings. Does your library offer toddler or baby classes to bring your kids too? A hospital or pedi bf support group? Going to a local park? In sorry if these were suggested before to you.

Seems like all the babies are sleeping good tonight. Just had wakeup #1, she went back down pretty easy thankfully. Hoping to get another 4 hr stretch before waking up for the day. Also hoping DD1 doesn't have a fever when she wakes up so we can be on track for going back to dc on Friday.

That is some bullshit. Next time make him take the toddler in his car and you just take the baby. What was his excuse anyway?
2nd wake up, first one was quick but didn't give me much time til the 2nd, and now we're at an hour and a half and I can't get her back down. Please little girl, mommy just needs 2 more hours...

4.5 hours! This was after cluster feeding from 9-11 and fighting sleep until I sat in the rocking chair to do our upright time. I feel like I should not be needing to out-stubborn a 4 week old already. ..
We had a 4.5 hour stretch last night and it was awesome. I'm hoping he goes back to sleep now after this one for a bit.... not so I can go back to sleep, but so I can shower and blow out my hair and put on a little make up. I'm feeling in a funky funk and hoping not looking like a hot mess will help

His parents are going on a 3 week vacation to Patagonia and wanted to get all their financial affairs in order just in case the unthinkable happens. They waited until the last minute to discuss will/estate/trust stuff with DH, who will be the executor. The thing is - he's going back there today, so whatever was so important to discuss last night could have easily waited 12hrs. Grrr

peaseblossom55, I know my doula group offers some support classes that I keep missing out on because I keep forgetting about them. I'm positive our library has something but I haven't looked into it much. From my experience at the parks nearby, either no one is there during the day or the people there are nannies which is fine but they aren't there very consistently and I don't speak Spanish so conversation is out with most of them.
