shawnabm1320 every time I put pancakes in the freezer, I let them die there. Do you package them really well? And how long would you leave them in there?

Just the normal routine here. Pump, wash parts, scarf down breakfast, shower, drop off J, go to NICU, pick up J from school, rush home for dinner. Wash, rinse, repeat.
At least today we're also running some errands and buying J some new sneakers after school. She had a major foot growth spurt! And she loves shopping. Target is her jam LOL

Well...I'm at work. 😀 this sucks. I had a dream that ppl kept coming by my desk to check on me, literally my worst nightmare lol. Then I come in today to realize since yesterday was Presidents' Day I have practically zero work to do 😩🙄 well only 8 more hours of stalling left...
In other exciting news, my favorite local coffee shop started a rewards program-10th drink is free. That's my goal before baby comes, if she's gonna make me wait until my induction day I'm gonna have something to look forward to in the mean time haha.

So, I lay out a piece of plastic wrap and put a pancake in the corner, cover with the bottom part of the plastic wrap, lay another pancake on top, cover with the side part of the plastic wrap. So each pancake ends up being covered with plastic wrap. And then I put them in a freezer bag. That was hard to describe - but you probably get the idea.
I never end up leaving them in there very long because I am a huge fan of pancakes, but I would think they would taste great for about a month, and they would taste ok for 2 more months at least. Sometimes things taste better when you get them out of the freezer if you can let them sit out instead of microwaving them to defrost them. But honestly, I microwave them, and I think they taste fine. You could put a damp paper towel over the top of them when you microwave them so they don't dry out.

We have dinner plans with friends tonight at my favorite restaurant. I'm excited, although, the meal I usually get is $20, and I feel bad because they're paying for it. I haven't decided if I'm going to get a cheaper meal, or just go with it. It's a thank you because I made beef stew for their daughter's wedding.
Yesterday I did some research on the most common days babies are born - and I found that basically two days before to two days after the due date are statistically when most babies are born. So I don't know if it's that or the fact that now I know she won't share a birthday with my grandma, but I feel more patient today. Talk to me tonight, though 😬

Clearly I think too much about pancakes 😉
I freeze with wax paper then aluminum foil. Like shawnadm1320 said they'd prolly be okay for a couple of months but I think mine have only lasted for a few weeks at most.
Lazy day today. Painters are coming to do touch ups later this morning and that's all for my day. So nice! Especially with this latest growth spurt/cluster feeding extravaganza going on.
I just sent my h to the grocery store with an advanced level list. I'll fall over if he gets it all right and is home before noon. He's already called me twice to ask questions, so he's trying!!!

MH gets groceries for us quite often, but he still texts me A million questions while he's shopping. It's too funny.

I like this 2 day range on either side. Whenever I google I see an 8-11 day range on either side of due date. I'm like ok I get it..sometime this month lol. I guess according to your super accurate site that today's the day!!

K is out to gymnastics with DH, and I hate to say it...but it's been a glorious, quiet hour. Cuddling R and watching This Is Us. K has been so challenging since we brought R home. My heart hurts for her. And then my heart hurts for R. Like I said before- this shit is hard.
My two friends are bringing lunch over and coming to visit us today, so definitely looking forward to that. One of them is the nurse that delivered R
I'm also hoping the photographer posts sneak peek pictures soon! I'm so impatient--it's only been 4 days since she came to take them including the weekend. But I want them now!!

My mom is flying in today to visit for a week so DH is vacuuming while I nurse baby. We'll pick up DD from daycare this afternoon, go to the airport, and then out to dinner for barbecue. I'm so excited to be able to eat barbecue again! Gotta squeeze in a shower soon. These night sweats are no joke!

We had our first night home! It went pretty well, except S went too long without feeding and I missed it because I was so deeply passed out. She has fed 4 times since then, so hopefully she caught up. Probably because of that long stretch, I'm feeling more rested than I would expect at this point.
I put her in the ring sling last night and this morning. I'm having a hard time positioning her body correctly. Her back and legs are all twisted in there. But she absolutely loves it and so do I -- having my hands free to do something while keeping her close is the best.

Something to save you some time at home in your pumping routine. After pumping out all pump parts in a wet bag/plastic bag and put into the fridge. Do this all day and wash once at the end of the day.
With C still in the NICU run this by one of the nurses but that was what I was told to do for pumping at work.

Did anyone here experience major loss of bladder control postpartum? I full on peed myself twice already, and I'm leaking pee onto my pads all the time. I don't feel like I have any control over the stream of urine when I pee. I also don't feel a sense of having to go -- I only go to avoid accidents. My OB and nurses said it is fairly common and usually gets better on its own, but my OB also said he does 1-2 incontinence surgeries a week. I'm extremely upset about this and the idea of having to wear Depends is killing me. I was thinking I'd get my body back after pregnancy but instead it feels wrecked.

well, you know, every day you make it past your due date, the chances of you delivering "today" are higher! Unfortunately, there are always people who don't follow the statistics. Like DS who was born on day 4 after my due date. But I'm choosing not to think about that...

notagoddess I don't feel the urge to go either. I read that it's pretty much expected for the nerves of the bladder to be damaged by childbirth and to take quite a while to heal. I keep having to remind myself to go and often I've waited so long that it hurts! Hopefully you just need a little more time to heal. Think of all the pressure your body went through. Fwiw, I wore Depends for a couple of weeks last time when I ran out of mesh panties and was still bleeding heavily. They are not so bad, not like a diaper. Sending healing vibes to you!

Counting the hours with my solo day with Z. The last two nights she hasn't started her long stretch of sleep (4-5 hours) until 4 or 5am, which is rough. Here's hoping tonight it better. I was up with her screaming from 2-4 this morning.
I think she's constipated. We haven't had any real poos since early yesterday morning. She normally gives us several full poop diapers a day but since then we've only had small hints of it. I'm guessing that's adding to her discomfort, but I don't know what to do for her. I'm not sure if I should call the doctor or what. She's always seemed to really struggle getting gas out, squirming, grunting, crying as she works them out. I'm not sure if a probiotic will help or what.

notagoddess, I believe it's common at least for a while, but if you can try to do some kegels maybe that would help. And keep in mind that your body *did* just go through a major thing. I wouldn't worry about long term incontinence just yet. See how things are in a few weeks.

Luckily I do not have this, however, it is very common. In a week or two I am starting to rehab my diastasis and the program I am using also aims to help women with pelvic weakness...which can lead to incontinence (bowel and bladder). I would try exercises, kegels, and what not. Also touch base with your doctor at your follow up. I would not want this to become a lingering issue.
