Thank you all for the wishes this morning! I read them as I was going into the appointment, and it was so nice to see! 🙂
So it turns out that I have one little bean making himself or herself at home in the right place! Yay for a pregnancy in the uterus!! (Never thought I'd say those words! 😜). The sac is measuring 5 weeks + 2 days, and according to my ovulation date, I'm 5 weeks + 3 days, so I'll take it!! My doctor couldn't find a reason for the spotting (which is continuing, mostly brown), so she referred to it as a threatened miscarriage and told me I have a 50/50 shot for this baby. Not my favorite thing in the world to hear, but it was quite a relief to see the sac in the right spot, so I'm trying to focus on that right now.
She also told me to avoid lifting my 30 lb 2 yr old, but I'm a SAHM with no family or help in our area, so I'm not sure how to avoid lifting/carrying DD on a daily basis. So that'll be interesting to figure out.
So anyway, that's where I am right now! Thanks again for your thoughts!! I've got my fingers crossed so hard to hear good news from the other ladies with ultrasounds today!!!
dottiehinson, I hope that little bean continues to grow. When is your next appointment?
Thank you!! Next ultrasound will be in two weeks (3/30). I was hoping for earlier, but the doctor wanted to wait a bit to make sure we could see the heartbeat at the next scan (if there is going to be a heartbeat). So I will be 7 weeks + 3 days at that scan. Beta was 12,000 on Tuesday, and we saw the beginning of a fetal pole today, so I'm really hoping things continue to move forward!!
Yay dottiehinson!!! I feel like the odds you were given seem high considering its brown spotting, but also not a doctor. Hopefully that little bean snuggles in tight!
Good news, jax1182014! FX things continue to look good, dottiehinson! 5w3d is just so early. I 100% know what you mean about being excited about an intrauterine pregnancy.
AFM...My u/s also went well today. Baby measured right on track at 6w5d with a heart rate in the 140s. There's no sign of where the spotting came from, but hopefully it's done. My RE sort of released me to my OB, but I have to keep going to weekly blood draws for another 3-4 weeks while they wean me off of the meds. I'm kind of bummed I won't get another u/s from my RE, but I'm going to beg for an early one at my first OB appointment.
That was the date of mine, but the other teacher I work with offered to cover my second period if I ever wanted a morning appointment without burning a half day. I immediately took her up on it and moved it to 4/10. Not much better, but every day counts. And now it's at 8am instead of 3pm.

I am automatically considered high risk due to having a blood clot with DD's and so I will get an ultrasound on the 22nd to confirm pregnancy, I will be 4 weeks.
First US officially scheduled for 4/3. I'll be exactly 7 weeks. That seems so far away. My next one will be the Friday before Easter, which is perfect because we are planning to announce to my parents that night!

@snuff9861, I am in Canada and I have my first MW appt on the 23rd (I will be 6 weeks) I think it just depends on the practice. I know we only have one ultrasound if everything is going well.

Likely! I'm in SE Ontario, you?
We have the option of the NT scan, so a grand total of 2 ultrasounds. I will likely be getting a dating ultrasound since I'm not 100%. I know the general timeframe but neither DH nor I can remember which day it was.

My appt was good! They actually dated me to 6w 2d which is 2 days earlier than my suspected O date. But seeing as how O could have been 48 hours after a positive OPK, it makes sense. We couldn't hear the heartbeat so as not to strain the baby, but we saw the little heart beating!
I had to schedule a few appts so I think I will have to tell my boss. The NP wanted to see me in 2 weeks for another US for the hb and to confirm no multiples. She said it was too early to rule it out!
